Mr. Micah King Attacked On The Set Of The Cube Season Two

ME Blog

We are all aware of the Global phenomenon show The Cube and now in North America we have The Cube with star host Dwyane Wade back with season two. But everything is not what it seems behind the scenes.

An audience member was attacked and assaulted by one of the production assistance while on the show. Activity like this is often brushed under the rug for protection of the production but this particular audience member was no regular audience member, it was Mr. Micah King. He quotes, “while in the audience I stood up during a break in the show to ask one of the PAs about going to the restroom.

We were on a elevated staircase and at the top of the staircase one of the PAs standing and as I got closer to her I recognize she was on her phone and when she looked at me she turned her back. Then I looked down the stairs and three or four stairs down there was another PA so I called his name and before I could get another word out my mouth the female PA elbowed me in the neck and almost pushed me down the stairs.

She turns and yells at me saying see, why are you up anyway. I look at her crazy without speaking still in shock that I almost fell down the 45 stairs And very much in pain from her elbow to the back of my neck. I then asked her was she aware that she elbowed me in the neck and almost pushed me down the stairs and she responds saying that I bumped into her and if I did not like it that I could leave. Feeling uncomfortable no longer in a cheery audience member mood I chose to except her offer to leave, so I gather my things and I said nothing else. She walked me out the building and I grabbed my voucher out of the car and then she told me that since I am voluntarily leaving I could not be paid. I asked her how was this voluntarily when she just told me that I could leave if I did not like the fact that she claimed I hit her. She then said oh well and had security escort me off the campus set without pay.

I know her first name but I do not know her last name so I could not file a police report and I have not heard from The Cube Production since then and I have tried to contact them many many times”. “Things like this happen on a set if you’re not the main star guest star or the focus of the production” Mr. Micah King says.

“I understand that production assistance are humans like everybody else and they get tired while at work but we still have to show respect to others and own up to our wrongs.” Mr. Micah King also spoke on the audience members and background actors not getting the respect that they deserve on other TV shows and movies sets. He says “We can all agree that without background actors a movie will look very empty so why aren’t they given the respect that they deserve on different movie sets”? Mr. Micah King also spoke about creating a Union for background artist “so that when things like this happen somebody can take a stand”.

I can agree that if tv show companies and movie productions are going to hire these type of assistants then I do not want to support. If it were your relative your child your family member of your friend would you still support and watch?

Tatted On Bodies!!

ME Blog

If y’all have not noticed, Keylluminati has emerged back onto social media and is preview what may be a ‘HIT”! The Tampa native has started posting stories on his Instagram once again. So where has he been? Why has he taken this hiatus? A recent interview with “All Rap News” the “Speak to Em’ rapper stated that he removed himself from social media and other activities because of some serious anxiety.

We suspected Keylluminati was coming back to the music when he dropped the “OffLimits2” mixtape last November. Then we see him showing his face more and more and knew he was feeling better. Keylluminati has previewed a couple of new songs, but one stands out. The name of the new track is still unknown but the “Tatted on Bodies” lyric is what catches our ear. It has us wondering is he going for another project, or will this be a single? On one of his recent story post on IG the rapper gives shoutout to @Slum_dawg_miz for clowning him on his hiatus.
When asked about does he plan on doing collabs the go around, the rapper stated “if it makes sense”

We are ready to see what the Keyllumination artist has in store for the future. Keylluminati and Ea. Dre are always working together as well maybe more music from the two artist will arrive in the future. Nothing we can do but just wait. Follow Keylluminati on IG @keylluminati to be in know on upcoming events and projects.

Who Is C Glizzy?

Blog, Industry Spotlight, ME Blog, Music, Promo, Videos

C. Glizzy is a South Florida rapper who made headlines in 2021 after being shot in his eye (Complex, Hip-Hop Dx, Heavy). C Glizzy is also well known for his relationship with the late XXXtentacion, as well for his debut project called Numb the Pain in April 2019. This tragic situation would have ended the average persons career, but Glizzy came back with a new focus on life and a renewed energy with his music. Now, to keep his momentum going, Glizzy preps his new single titled “Six & Glizzy” featuring Foolio. The record and video are available across all digital streaming platforms.

The amount of talent to come out of Florida in recent years has been quite impressive, especially with the assistance of the internet and social media. The distinctive Florida bounce has been hard to miss following the tone set in the 90’s from the likes of Trina and Trick Daddy. Newcomers, such as rap artist C Glizzy who comes from Pompano Beach, Florida, is adding to this soundscape while also bringing a fresh new perspective to the industry.

What’s most impressive about C Glizzy’s artistry is his ability to deliver a sound that is raw and uncut but has fans still bobbing their heads along to it. His most recent project Numb the Pain is a prime example of this, which makes it hard to believe that he’s only been rapping professionally for under three years. He talks about the experience he faced after getting shot in the head, which gave him not only a new focus on life, but a renewed energy for his music. C Glizzy, whose birth name is Christian Moore, draws a lot of inspiration from rappers like DMX, Chief Keef, and 2 Pac who found their own ways of expressing their pain through music.

The young rapper notes the importance of having a plan and following it through. “If you gone be out here in the world, don’t be half stepping,” he explains. “You better have a plan.” His plan to take over the industry is in full motion with him already opening for charting artists like Polo G, Lil Tecca, Smokepurpp, and Lil Mosey. While he’s been able to perform across the nation, Florida is still true to his heart and he’s preparing to release an EP titled Florida Boyz with an intent to bring together the hottest up and coming artists out of Florida.

His new single “Six & Glizzy” featuring Foolio is now available on all DSP’s. Click here to listen and watch the preview below!

JonPaul Wallace – Love’s Not For Everyone

Blog, Industry Spotlight, ME Blog, Music, Promo, Videos

Despite the Title, JonPaul Wallace’s Single, “Love’s Not for Everyone,” Defines Contemporary Pop

DETROIT – After going viral with his rewrite of Lukas Graham’s “7 Years,” JonPaul Wallace has silenced any critics who muttered the phrase, “one-hit-wonder.” While Wallace’s graduation performance of Graham’s hit accumulated more than 20 million views across streaming platforms, Wallace has taken the popularity in stride, focusing on the future.

“Honestly, it was completely unexpected,” said JonPaul Wallace. “I wanted to cover the song, but it says, 20 years, and I was only seventeen at the time. So, I changed up the lyrics to make it more suitable to me.”

With a discography of cover songs, each with his take on it, Wallace is now focusing on songwriting and performing. His latest single, “Love’s Not for Everyone,” displays the Michigan native’s abilities to blend pop and soulful rhythms.

In the slow and heavy melodic vocal tune, Wallace captures the feeling when a relationship ends. Instead of wallowing in the heartache, “Love’s Not for Everyone” is a declaration of acceptance and loneliness that comes after ending a relationship. The ballad which drops in December represents the softer side of Wallace’s contemporary pop style.

“I definitely pull a lot of inspiration from Motown and old soul music and put that in there, especially with a lot of my background vocals and vocal performances,” he explained. “There’s a lot of old soul influence in what I do. It’s something about growing up around Detroit. Soul is ingrained in me.”

Interestingly, Wallace did not write “Love’s Not for Everyone” in just one settling. After spending a few days in Northern Michigan on a solo writing trip, Wallace drove home when inspiration struck. “On my drive home, I was on I-75. I actually have a voice memo of me working on what became the bridge of ‘Love’s Not for Everyone,’” he said.

Even though the bridge was done, he put it aside to work on other songs with faster beats and more dance-like tracks. However, something was nagging at him to finish the piece. So, in typical Wallace style, he stepped away from the up-tempo songs and finished “Love’s Not for Everyone.”

“Lyrically, nothing changed. It was almost like a first try in the studio,” he said, knowing that the song was perfect for him and his fans.

With a finance and marketing degree from Oakland University, Wallace focuses full-time on being a singer, songwriter, and performer. “When I’m on stage, I’m always behind a guitar or piano. I just have a lot of fun on stage. I don’t try to be too heavy. I want to make music that takes you where you can forget about everything for a little while,” he said.

While “Love’s Not for Everyone” is a departure from Wallace’s typical upbeat pop songs, it showcases his versatility and strength as a singer and songwriter. Taking a few cues from the legendary Stevie Wonder and Billie Eilish, Wallace said, “My original music brings a different sound to the table. It’s focused on background vocals in a soulful way. But a lot of the production and melodies come from a modern and contemporary pop-dance style. It’s pretty different from what’s out there now. It’s what I do best.”
