Scatta RP prepares to drop new album with
release of first single, ‘Medicine’

TRENTON, NJ – SCATTA R.Pee always looked up to his older cousin growing up. Hailing from
Trenton, New Jersey, he was born into a musical family – uncles who were members of Instant
Funk, a father who was one of the top singers in the state, and a cousin who was signed to
Atlantic Records under the name True Love. Of all the influences on his life, True Love was
definitely the strongest.

“I remember I used to steal his tapes and run up to the attic and play them over and over,”
SCATTA said. “He caught me one time and I remember telling him that I was always watching
him. His career was a big influence on me and when he did a record called ‘Love Rap Ballad,’ it
was the first time I really saw how the music industry works.”

From that moment forward, SCATTA pursued music as a career. He was a founding member of
a group called TRUTH-OR SQ. out of Trenton and together they released a wide range of songs
over the years. In 2009, after releasing five mixtapes, SCATTA released his first solo album. It
was called “Jawanda ECM-Authenticness,” and was named after his older sister who also
heavily influenced his music career. Since that time Scatta has released two other full albums
and one mixtape. And today he’s preparing to releasing his fifth studio project, an album he’s
calling “Da Agriculture.” Every song on the album is produced by Divine Drummah, and the
sound throughout is one that not only nods to the early greats of hip-hop but also to Scatta’s
unique sound and style.

The first single from the album, “Medicine,” is a perfect example of how SCATTA is pushing the
expectations from hip-hop by turning common conventions on their heads.

“This song is basically about the need for hip-hop with substance to it,” he said. “It’s not the
everyday radio song that you hear nonstop nowadays. It’s mid-temp with an East Coast feel. I
suppose some people would say it has that progressive boom-bap sound, but it doesn’t sound
like what’s on the radio today. The music I make is more of what you would hear on college
radio or certain golden-era vibes. It’s relative because it speaks on issues that people are
dealing with every day. Plus, it’s just good quality music. That’s what I was raised on and that’s
why I gravitated to it when I created this.”

SCATTA said he hopes that as people hear his music and get to know him as an artist, they’ll see
a guy who is authentic and always stays true to his principles and convictions. He admits that
he’ll likely never be the artist who makes music born from the trends of the day. He will,
however, always deliver head-bobbing music that has a story or strong lyrical content. It may be
comical, historical, relational or even just something to party to – but every time it will be
something that listeners can grab onto and take something from it.

“Droughts Done” new project drops from Memphis artist
FYE

MEMPHIS, TN – The artist known as FYE started out as a producer from Memphis, Tennessee
who would sell his beats online and gained success in partnering with YouTube. He was a
talented musician who eventually gained a name for himself and did well online, so much so
that fans begged him for a full album of his own music. He rewarded them with a mixtape called
“Home Field Advantage,” which he released more than a year ago. After that release, he
stopped making music and focused on working hard and making what money he could through
selling beats and studio time out of his apartment. As Memphis is known for its hardcore
gangster rap scene, FYE hopes to bring a new wave of artistry to his home town among a group
of people that is trying to compete with music industry majors. His approach is to employ a more
urban, wavy sound.

As a tribute to his fans and to his favorite artist, Lil Wayne, FYE is ready to launch a new album
that he’s aptly naming “Droughts Done.”

“My fans have been waiting and waiting for me to drop new music, and now the Drought is
Done,” he said. “I’m getting ready to flood the industry with this new wave of music. So get
ready for that flame.”

FYE has 18 songs ready to drop on the project – six of which are covers. He said he did this
intentionally as a nod to Lil Wayne’s six-mixtape series called “The Droughts Over,” on which
the famous hip-hop artist would rap over the top of popular songs of that time. FYE said he
hopes to build a music career for himself that is similar to Lil Wayne’s, and it only made sense to
create a new project that was similar to his music icon’s.

“I want people to know me as the one of the greatest entertainers who ever lived,” FYE said,
emphasizing that his future plans are not only for music. “I’m not just rapping or singing or
dancing, I’m doing everything. I’m writing, I’m behind the scenes doing the production, I’m out in
the streets doing the ground work and relating to the public, and I have my own independent
label (Late Night Sound) based out of Memphis. I want to start doing music and blow up in the
industry, then eventually start my own clothing line and movie company and be a great creator.
I’ve always wanted to do things that were never thought of, and this music is the ticket to
manifest those things. I want to be just like Michael Jackson and Lil Wayne and all the greats
who came before me.”

The first step of that journey starts with the new album. He said it’s the perfect project to show
off all the skills that he has. The lyrics, clever bars, wavy beats and witty wordplay are 100
percent unique. One of the lines from his track “On” emphasizes this point and nods to Michael
Jackson’s lyric: “She think I’m Michael Jackson Chamone.” Fans can also see him perform
smooth dance moves while entertaining the masses across the country on different stages and
venues!

FYE’s style is futuristic, heavily produced and sonically engineered, which gives his fans a more
melodic, dreamy, lullaby-ish sound. FYE said he can’t be put in a box of any specific genre
because it’s impossible to know what he is going to do next. He said he knows this is what
keeps his fans enticed and wanting more.

“Ever since I was a kid, all I ever wanted to do was entertain people,” FYE said. “I feel like I was
put on this earth to entertain people. So that’s why I’m here: For Your Entertainment.”

Zanti Official – Their Song | @ZantiOfficial

Iraq war refugee brings dreams of his youth to

fruition with new EP ‘Dream’

SAN DIEGO, CA – It’s appropriate that Zuhair Abed’s debut EP is titled “Dream.” The artist more
formally known as Zanti Official is a refugee from Iraq, moving to the U.S. with his family after
war ravaged his country and forced them to flee. When he left his country, he had nothing
more than a dream for something bigger, something better … something that only America
could provide.

The dream was first planted as a very young boy. His father was friends with a radio disc jockey
in Iraq, and the friend would frequently come to their home just to hang out. During those
occasions, it wasn’t uncommon for them all to listen to music together and sing. And the more
that happened, the more this DJ noticed Zanti’s raw, natural talent. He encouraged Zanti’s
father to bring his song to the radio station and let him sing on air. Things looked promising …
and then the war hit, and Zanti never had the opportunity to make good on his father’s friend’s
promise.

“But when I came to the U.S., I started listening to rap – Drake in particular – and immediately I
wanted to become a rapper,” he said. “Drake was a rapper who came from nothing to become
something. I love his style, and every time he posts new music I am a fan. I love what he does
and I love his work. And I want to have a career in music just like him.”

After finishing high school, Zanti was forced to get a job to make some money. But every day
after work he would come home and create new music – exploring his sound and trying to
create something that was unique and different. He began to explore themes that circled
around his dreams – what it takes to become successful, what success looks like and painting
pictures of what life could be some day if he dreamed big enough.

“That’s what this EP is about,” he said. “It’s about dreaming about the life that I want to make.
It’s about me having a house in LA with dope cars and working on my schedule and being my
own boss. Everything is possible, and I know that if Drake can go from nothing to become
something, so can I.”

The EP features six songs that are heavily influenced by trap beats. But Zanti said there are no
other rappers in San Diego doing the kind of music that he’s doing. He has his own unique style
that combines rap with melody on top of more rap, and weaves in slow verses with quick
tempos in a juxtaposition of sound and style that is uniquely his own.

The debut single from the project is called “Their Song.” It’s a song about creating positivity for
other people and trying to inspire them to chase their own dreams. Zanti said he’s currently
working on a music video for the single and hopes to drop it next month.

New artist highlights Hollywood with help from African heritage

LOS ANGELES, CA – Emeka Peter – stage name Elis King – is a singer, songwriter, producer,
rapper and businessman who has a world of music knowledge at his fingertips.

Raised in Africa and America, Elis King grew up in three different African nations before
eventually moving to the U.S. to pursue a music career. His grandparents migrated from
Jamaica to America. His mother was a recording artist in the 1970s and 80s who was actively
looking to be signed with EMI Studio in Lagos and worked as a recording artist. She later got a
music deal with Tabansi Recording in the mid 80s, during which time she met Elis King’s father.
But even after becoming a mother, she never gave up on her music career, and from the
moment he was born, Elis King said he was destined to follow in her footsteps.

“Literally almost from the moment I was born my mom had me into music,” he said. “She was a
singer and would bring me with her to the studio. She was really into music, and as a result I
have always loved music. It was literally put into me from the moment I was created.”

Today Elis King works as a recording artist, just like his mother, albeit in the thriving music
scene of Hollywood, California. In fact, his new single, “Hollywood Beauty,” is a song that he
dedicates to his new home town and the culture that thrives all around him.

“It’s a song that talks about how beautiful California is,” he said. “I’m talking about the state’s
weather, and sunshine, and how it’s really pretty. It’s the perfect place to live. Everything that
you’d expect from California is right here in Hollywood, and you’ll see that in the music video.”

That song and video should be released soon. But in the meantime, Elis King said he has
another recently released single called “Sexy Body” that is lighting up the West Coast. Quickly
becoming a staple in clubs all throughout LA, “Sexy Body” is a hard-cord rap/pop fusion that
taps into the rock genre. It’s a song that Elis King said has been embraced by bikers around
town, but he said it’s one that anyone who enjoys a pretty woman will love.

“It’s pretty simple,” he said. “It’s a song that talks about sexy bodies and pretty women. When
people hear it, I want them to think of a hard-core party guy. I want people to see me as
someone creating a new style of music. It may not sound familiar, but if you give it a chance
you’ll recognize African beats with pop, rap and rock all infused together. It’s a party song for
night clubs and strip clubs – especially when you play it and watch how the ladies are rolling on
the pole, shaking their ass. That’s what you are going to see from the music video coming out
soon”

Elis King also expressed that he is dedicating the song “Sexy Body” in appreciation of all the
pretty women out there by means of bringing back the love and respect that has been taken
away in recent times. He hopes the song will encourage men to love and trust their girls, ladies,
and moms to make a better home and future to all in love.

Toyz Electronics brings STEM Outreach at Washington Auto Show

Owners Illustrated Magazine & Toyz Electronics, LLC Collaborate to Bring VR, Coding & STEM Outreach to the Washington Auto Show

Students from Washington Yu Ying Public Charter School in DC to participate in a coding and VR technology experience at the Washington Auto Show hosted by Owners Illustrated magazine and Toyz Electronics founders.

Washington, DC – Owners Illustrated magazine, a leading urban entrepreneurial lifestyle publication, and Toyz Electronics, LLC, a Carnegie Mellon University startup, will partner to bring an engaging coding and creative technology training for DC Public School students to the Washington Auto Show on January 25th, 2018.

Damola Idowu and son Wole Idowu, a native of Washington, DC, believe that the future of technology is in the hands of DC Public School students today. Of his approach, Damola Idowu states, “Many jobs in the auto industry require coding. Early exposure will be critical to training the workforce of the future. I’m thrilled to be bringing this to the Washington Auto Show.”

“STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) education is critically important to the future of our country, not to mention the automotive industry,” said Washington Auto Show President and CEO John O’Donnell. “We are excited to host this initiative at The Washington Auto Show.”

Damola, a Washington Automotive Press Association (WAPA) member, has now partnered with the Washington Yu Ying Public Charter School in DC to empower DC students to get into technology fields and become part of the auto industry in the future. Of the collaboration, Amy Quinn, Director of Teaching and Learning at the Yu Ying public charter school said, “We look forward to this collaboration and future collaborations with Mr. Idowu.”

Wole organizes Innovation Conferences held at Carnegie Mellon University each semester and Miguel Richardson, the music producer who leads the music production portion of these events, will be on hand to engage the students in music technology. Wole will teach the students to code for VR and an Android smart watch called the TZN1 that he is developing on the Carnegie Mellon Campus.

The TZN1 will also play a large role in teaching the students coding as part of a mobile driving game. Students will take pictures using the TZN1 watches and be able to learn a line of code and share the pictures. Wole Idowu states, “I hope to bring a great session at the Auto Show to showcase and for the students at Yu Ying to learn from, grow, and develop their skills to become excellent developers, leaders, and innovators of the future.”

Throughout the entire run of the show, from January 26th through February 4th, multiple VR stations will be set up on the show floor. Additionally, there will be a gaming section where attendees of the Auto Show can play driving focused video games.

Founder and Editor in Chief, Damola Idowu, created Owners Illustrated magazine in the District of Columbia in 2002. He is bringing a proven formula that helped his son, Wole, graduate high school and be featured on CNBC at age 15. Wole, who was raised in Ward 8 DC, started school at age 4 at the World Public Charter School in their Mandarin immersion program and was exposed to technology at an early age. He graduated in 2017 from Carnegie Mellon University with an Electrical and Computer Engineering Degree.

Wibby White finds success internationally with new EP “Optimistic”

MIAMI, FL – If you’re looking for an artist who perfectly combines sounds from today, yesterday
and tomorrow, look no further than Wibby White.

The Miami, Florida native has been making music for a few years and is beginning to make a
name for himself internationally. His most recent EP, “Optimistic,” has garnered a lot of
attention and radio play across Europe – so much so that he has become an international
Phenom through organization, unsolicited airplay. With songs like “Black Disco Baby,” “Do You
Really Want to Hurt Me (remix),” “Move (feat. Ms. Jha Jha),” “I Just Wanna Be Your Everything
(feat. Flykidd Jr),” and “Optimistic (ext. Club mix) ft. DJ Bryan Reyes,” Wibby White is leaving an
indelible impression on listeners all over the world.

His most recent album, “Black Disco,” is also catching the attention of listeners all over the U.S.
And with a sound as unique as his, it makes sense that so many people would sit up and take
notice. Self-described as a unique blend of retro, disco, soul and pop – Wibby White’s style is
one-of- a-kind.

“I am not afraid of myself or my influences, as it relates to what’s on radio today,” he said. “I
am very eclectic, and I’m not afraid of what other people’s perception is of me. Correct or
incorrect, I know how to let them have their way.”

Though music is something Wibby White has always had a passion for, it was the business side
of the industry that first attracted him. He attended the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale College
in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, studying the music video side of the industry. After college he
started his own production company, Pandemonium Productions Worldwide, and four years
later had released his first full-length album, “The Trendsetter.” Since then he has continued to
make his own music while also helping new and aspiring young artists find their own voice.
“Understanding business and being a businessman, I’ve come to the conclusion that no one
owns the music industry,” White said. “The music industry is you and me – the independent
artist, the manager, the producer, the songwriter, etc. If you know your business, get in where
you fit in. And that’s what I did.”

His success in 2017 made that year one of the best in his career. “Optimistic” is something that
he’s particularly proud of and he’s thrilled to see it gain so much attention internationally. The
project explores themes of pop and soul through the lens of an “upbeat, sophisticated night
life.” White describes the lyrics as positive and motivational, with subjects talk about pride,
individuality and freedom. In many ways he said his music today is an eclectic mix of his favorite
sounds, the work he’s done over the years and the many artists who have inspired him
throughout his life.

As White continues to ride the waves of success following the release of “Optimistic,” he’s also
hard at work on new music. He said he hopes to release a new single in the spring of 2018
called “Soo Alone.”

“It will be my first mid-temp R&B song,” he said. “The video will be epic and will be available on
my YouTube Channel, Wibby White YouTube. It will also be available at WibbyWhite.net.”

[Video] Kelz Kelz – Bleezy | @Kelzo520

ME Blog, Music, Promo, Videos

Kelz’s personal life transformation shared through her music is inspiring millions nationwide

CLEVELAND, OH – No matter how many people say you can’t do something… do what you can
to be comfortable with yourself.

That’s the life motto of new Cleveland, Ohio artist Kelz. And it’s the theme behind her new
single “Bleezy,” which dropped on Dec. 11 on all digital distribution sites. It’s a song that she
said takes a close look into her personal life and opens up about her transition from a “really
girly girl” to being a “big tomboy.”

“The song and video stars with me looking very feminine in the beginning,” Kelz said. “But then
I go into the bathroom and dress as a tomboy. Both in the video and in the song I do it to be
comfortable in my own skin. And that’s what I want to represent with my music to other
people. Be yourself no matter what. Do what feels good to you. Since I’ve started making that
kind of music and releasing it, I’ve been surprised by the amount of people who have hit me up saying I inspire them. That’s crazy to me, but it’s a good feeling. The idea of being myself
making others want to be themselves is crazy.”

Though Kelz is enjoying some strong success now – including recently signing with
WattsyMusicEnt for representation – her journey hasn’t always been this enjoyable. Kelz comes
from a rough background on the streets of Cleveland. It’s a rough background that eventually
landed her in prison for three years. But once she got out she pursued a path that would turn
her dark past into a bright future. She said she picked up music as a hobby after discovering
early on in life that she had a knack for poetry and wordplay. When she got out of prison, she
needed something positive to focus on in order to stay out of trouble. Her hobby with music
soon became her passion, and ever since then she’s been slowly building a fanbase of others
who also love her music and her perspective.

In just two years of making music, she has already gained the attention of millions of listeners.
Her single “Bodak Yellow Remix” went viral with 2 million views on Facebook in 2017. With zero
family support, she managed to take over the entire Ohio Valley in the matter of a year –
winning a total of four OVHH Awards, including: Artist of the Year, Video of the Year, Best
EP/Album and Best Duo. She has also had the opportunity to open up for Corey Gunz, DJ Unk,
Waka Flaka, Montana Of 300, Lil Reese and at the Yemipalooza Music Festival. And on top of all
that, she has also modeled for independent clothing companies such as Killigraphy and
Redemption.

“People really love her and gravitate toward her because they can really relate,” said Slick
Watts, former Underground Music Award Winner. “Her fans are die-hard fans and we plan to
take it to the next level in 2018 and she’s about to take it to the next level. She has a strong
following, and now it’s about getting her as much exposure as possible. Once the masses get a
chance to hear Kelz and see the work that she puts in, the sky will be the limit.”
