Yasmina – Moon

Finnish singer pairs ethereal vibes with vulnerable lyrics on new single ‘Moon’

VAASA, FINLAND – In Greek mythology, Selene is the goddess of the Moon. As the tale goes, she drives her moon chariot across the heavens and was worshiped as the all-seeing eye of the night because the moon would always be visible in the night sky and no one could run from it. She shone bright with her magnificent silver light, which is an apt analogy for the way Yasmina Limam’s music is drawing attention from all over the world.

Hailing from a small hamlet in Finland, this ethereal vocalist with an electro-pop edge is bringing a very modern yet progressive sound to the global stage. Her new EP, “Moon,” which is slated to release later this year, embraces the symbology of the goddess Selene and serves as a platform for the kind of inspirational music this talented young artist wants to offer to the world.

“I want my music to be known for being authentically who I want to be and what I want to present myself as,” she said. “I never want to change my music for others. It’s coming straight out of me and I want people to notice that and hear that from my songs. One of the biggest things I would want to be known for is being vulnerable, and I want to bring that out in other people, as well.”

Yasmina has already released the first single from this forthcoming project, called “Mornings,” to high praise from industry insiders and fans alike. And now she’s following that up with the second single from the EP, which shares the name of the project “Moon.” The ethereal EDM vibe serves as the foundation for her spiritual journey, and the lyrics give audiences an inside peek into who she is as a woman and a person.

“I was reading about Selene and how powerful her feminine energy is,” Yasmina said. “I loved her story and wanted to use that in the song. I just started writing from the heart, and next thing I know it was there. It’s pretty poetic, and there are a lot of hidden messages behind the lyrics. I consider myself a pretty spiritual person and I like to use a lot of spirituality in my songs. I like to use a lot of deeper messages and bring out that spiritual view of things, while also offering healing and sharing with others the vibe it brings to me when I sing it.”

“Moon” is currently available to stream on all major platforms.

3Fifs – Season of the Fall

Blog, Industry Spotlight, ME Blog, Music, Promo, Videos

History buff uses pain of the past to illuminate ills of the future with lyrical new vibe on fresh single

PALM BEACH, FL – Many people unfamiliar with the foundation of the United States of America don’t realize that part of the provision of the original Constitution was to marginalize slaves and people of color by only considering them to be equal to three-fifths of a person. It’s a fact of American history that still echoes strongly in today’s culture and society, and as such it’s one of many facets upon which fast-rising Florida-based artist 3Fifs draws through his music.

The socially conscious rapper brings a burst of energy and entertainment with his catchy grooves and infectious beats. Using the lessons of the past as foundation for challenging and through-provoking lyrics, 3Fifs has been turning heads for the better part of the past decade with his impressive blend of entertaining vibes. Drawing comparisons to legends such as Ludacris and Kurupt, 3Fifs has circled the edges of notoriety since he first burst onto the scene in 2013. That year, the St. Louis born artist was nominated “Freshman of the Year” at the SLUMFEST Awards. A year later, he was one of 14 Us-born artists to perform at Canadian Music Week, and in 2016, he won a songwriters award for his hit single “Blind the Sun.” Since reemerging on the scene in July with a featured verse on the local hit “Do You Wanna,” Fifs’ talents caught the eye of Florida legend Trick Daddy.

Today, this young hip-hop artist is bringing his unique sound and style to the table with a string of new singles that are creating quite a buzz among a wide variety of audiences. His latest single, “Season of the Fall,” is currently available on all streaming platforms and shares a message of love and loss and betrayal at the deepest level.

“The whole message of the song is about how sometimes the ones closest to you are the ones who end up stabbing you in the back,” 3Fifs said. “It’s repeating a view of what I’ve seen over the past few years with relationships with people I thought were good friends and kind of the culmination of all that. It was inspired by my cousin who got killed earlier this year by his girlfriend. He and I came into this music thing together and we grew up like brothers. I took a break from music for a while because I ended up getting married and was really focused on trying to take care of my wife and family through the more conventional route. But when he got killed it’s what prompted me to pursue music again. It’s time to make this happen.”

3Fifs said he hopes people will come to recognize him as an artist who is always real and who relates with others through a wide variety of shared experiences. He said he considers himself to be an everyday guy to whom people can relate, and he wants his music to give people hope and motivation.

Bleezy Bane – No Peace

Industry Spotlight, ME Blog, Music, Promo, Videos

Bleezy Bane takes audiences through journey of pain and triumph

BROOKLYN, NY – Bleezy Bane at 21 years old is an independent artist based in Brooklyn, New York. He is a singer and rapper who draws his lyrics from his experiences at an early age and battles with mental Health. Raised in a mix of New York and Bangladesh, his immigrant roots are showcased in his Hip-Hop. A closer listen offers the biography of a kid who survived sins and consequences before he was old enough to drive. His physical scars are just a reminder for him to acknowledge the pain he survived to finally grab the mic and share his art with the world.

Bleezy Bane and his cousins were early immigrants. Due to various family issues, Bleezy had to spend a majority of his life in a mix of two cities. Bleezy’s older cousins were the ones who raised him for the greater part of his childhood, they often saved their younger brother from the hardest experiences and taught the most important lessons. With a mix of ignorance in his childhood, Bleezy got himself into situations that gradually led to the art that he has dedicated his life to.

“After my family saw what I got myself into, they forced me to finally attend school. I got admitted on the third grade and I was already older than the other kids and was immediately the black sheep. Everyone already had their groups and the differences in our upbringing were disturbingly clear. Everything went perfect for the first couple years, the change in the environment helped me distract myself from my past but its wasn’t just the scars that stayed from my previous life, it was the demons too. The problems got worse, they say sharing helps but it really didn’t for me. The fear of being judged added onto it. It got worse with every summer vacation due to the amount of time I had to spend alone playing video games and stress-eating, it gradually took over me. I was diagnosed with Comorbid PTSD at age 17 and had to leave school a year before the graduation.

Bleezy said his music has evolved to embrace a number of different influences – from his home country of Bangladesh to being raised by his cousins from Brooklyn. His sound is influenced from multiple other genres and styles found around the world. He is heavily influenced by artists, Lil Baby and J.Cole. His sound has a unique mix of both Brown and Black.

Bleezy says “The world hates anyone who brings something new to the table but I am way too proud of myself to let anyone’s judgement affect my sound so better get used to it, I will be here for a while.” His music serves as the tale that begin with the origin of him as an artist and leads listeners through his journey so far. It features two hit singles, ‘Blick Talk’ and ‘No Peace’, which taken together are an excellent example of his diversity as an artist.

“With ‘No Peace’ I’m both singing and rapping, I’m alone with my thoughts which makes me vulnerable about my feelings,” he said. “With ‘Brooklyn Talk’ I’m showing my skills as an artist while I talk about my life”

The singles are currently available across all streaming platforms.

Antonio Jean – Need

Blog, Industry Spotlight, ME Blog, Music, Videos

Antonio Jean offers an introspective look at love, loss and betrayal with new ballad ‘Need’

ARLINGTON, VA – Music has always been at the forefront of Antonio Jean’s life. It’s the thing that his family has used over the years to cope with any hardships they would face. For Antonio, the biggest hardship he ever faced was the loss of his mother – Carol Jean McLean – to cancer in 2018. She was the most important person in his life, and in an effort to always carry her with him in everything he does he adopted the stage name Antonio Jean. Today, operating under that stage name, he creates some of the most intriguing and entertaining music available in the industry today.

On Sept. 29 he’s set to release his new single “Need,” which showcases his impressive natural talent while also sending out positive vibes to listeners who need encouragement after a heartbreak. Stemming from life experiences of dealing with people who promised to have his back but then weren’t there when he needed them most, the song shines a light on the fakers and the haters of the world.

“One of the lines in the song says, ‘How many times would you say you love me? How many times would you say you care? But you’ve been a non-existent shadow. You’ve been heartache and pain.’” Antonio said. “Ultimately the song talks about the kind of love that you should model to others. I’ve experienced a lot of heartache in life with family and friends and people who said they were going to do one thing and then never actually did what they said. We all go through stuff like that, but we can move on at the end of the day. That’s not a love that’s going to model what we need.”

Through his R&B ballad, Antonio offers a song that many people around the world can connect with. By exploring themes of love and pain and persistence through challenges, he brings a very heartfelt and authentic track during a time when the world is actively seeking that transparent realness. And this is just the first of many singles to come in the next few months. Antonio said he plans to follow up “Need” with the Pop/Rock up-tempo jam “What Would We Do Without Love” in the next couple of months.

“I really hope my music is known for uplifting someone,” he said. “I want my music to be about helping someone recognize that something in their life isn’t good for them and they need to move on. My music is about finding yourself and self-empowerment and self-love and self-care. Love yourself. Choose you first. There’s only one you at the end of the day. And love is the centerpiece of everything. If it’s real, true love then it’s going to hold everything together. In this world I don’t feel like we have enough of it, genuinely.”

G Check – Flowers

Industry Spotlight, ME Blog, Music, Videos

G Check rides waves of emotions while inspiring others with poignant new album ‘H.A.R.D.’

KINGSTREE, SC – The lyrical genius Keem Reed – AKA G Check – has dropped yet another example of his mastery of music with his latest album “H.A.R.D.” Featuring the hit single “Flowers,” the soon-to-be-released album is a project that feels equal parts introspective and entertaining, while offering audiences a look beyond the music into the heart and soul of this young artist who is poised to become an international superstar.

Inspired by the tragic loss of his son, who was stillborn just a few months ago, the album uses music as therapy, with messages of hope and inspiration in the midst of heartache and loss. The highly emotional project touches on a wide range of feelings and experiences in ways that are sure to connect with listeners from every walk of life. With “Flowers,” for instance, G Check shows the true hip-hop version of his sound by encouraging others to let loved ones know how important they are now instead of waiting until it’s too late. It’s a bit of a departure from his previous hit single, “Big Dreams,” which was featured on his album “March Madness” that dropped earlier this year. On that song G Check blends Country and hip-hop to set the stage for lyrics that inspire others to chase their dreams no matter what challenges might arise.

“I come from a small town you’ve never heard of, but I have a big dream and I gotta keep it up,” G Check said. “If you know me, you know I be going hard. No matter the circumstances, you gotta keep your dream. And don’t take anything for granted along the way. That’s where the idea of ‘Flowers’ came from. Too often we realize how much we love a person after they’re dead instead of appreciating them when they’re alive. So give me my flowers now – tell me how important I am to you now. If a person is important to you, let them know now and acknowledge those things today before it’s too late.”

Having been involved with music in one way or another since he was a young child, G Check said he has always had a passion for art and the craft of music-making. He credits his family – especially his mother – for giving him the biggest inspiration to pursue his dreams. Over the years he has developed a style that stands out from the crowd. His punchlines, metaphors and lyrical cadences leave listeners mesmerized. His wordplay is otherworldly. And his ability to tell a story through vocal pictures is second-to-none.

“There are certain brains in the world that can digest words in a way that gives them the ability to share it with anyone else,” G Check said. “I want to get out there and get people’s attention so that more and more people can digest my words and be inspired through different situations in their lives. I’m painting a picture and putting that song in your brain just like I’m painting it on a tapestry. I want to elevate the way people think and to elevate their spirits. I feel like I deserve to be heard as one of those minds that progresses to the next level. So tune in, and when you hear ‘Oh Lord!’ just know that you’re in for a lyrical blessing.”

Big Steilo – The Things U Do

Blog, Industry Spotlight, ME Blog, Music, Videos

Big Steilo offers clarity and perspective to the world with new album ‘Dogpound 2’

LOUIS, MO – Working in the automotive industry for the past few years, St. Louis-based hip-hop artist BigSteilohas seen the very definition of cutthroat business. Currently operating as a manager of car dealerships in St. Louis, while also developing his crafts as an independent recording artist, this young rising star deals with heightened emotions every day of his life. And his outlet for those emotions are through music – which he puts on full display with his latest album “Dogpound 2.” Released across all streaming platforms in August, the project is one that gives fans a deeper look into the life of this car salesman by day and Urban street artist by night – with stories from the streets mixed with uplifting messages that he hopes will inspire others around the world to chase their dreams.

The debut single from the album is a song called “Critical.” It’s a song that he wrote after a particularly difficult day working at the dealership, and the raw honesty of it caught the attention not only of new fans around the city, but also of the owner of his dealership.

“It’s a song about people who tell you they love you to your face, but behind closed doors they hate you,” Big Steilo said. “I sent it to everyone in the auto industry around here – including the owners of the dealerships. The song really touched one of the owners in particular, and he called me after he heard it and said, ‘Why don’t you come work for me.’ I’ve been working with him ever since.”

Big Steilo said he’s been doing music since he was 9, and now at age 26 he’s doing everything he can during the free time that he has to make his dreams of becoming a professional recording artist a reality. It’s the fulfillment of something he said he wanted to do when he was in grade school and his teacher was asking the class what they wanted to be when they grew up.

“I said I wanted to be a rapper,” Big Steilo said. “I’ve done music every day since then. I play multiple instruments and by high school I started getting into writing music and decided to do something with it. I decided to put a video out, so I scraped up $500 to pay a video guy. We shot it at the school and everyone at the school ended up loving it. Things just took off from there. Before graduating I shot another video for my song ‘Who Got The Gas’ and it blew up. I went from being a corny kid writing love songs and poems to this gangster song that was great, and that led me to where I am today.”

More than anything, Big Steilo said he hopes he becomes known for being a great storyteller through his music, while also connect with fans from all walks of life all over the world. He prides himself on being a great lyricist and for offering a transparent look at his own life as he explores the undercurrents of society and culture in ways that provoke listeners to think about things from a different angle.

“If anybody has been through any trials and tribulations, I feel like I should be talking to them,” he said. “I can talk to anybody about anything, and I want to be that voice. I have stepped out beyond that boundary that a lot of people are afraid to to go. I’ve got to try. You only get one shot at this life, so you might as well give it a try. It’s hard as hell, and there are a lot of blood, sweat and tears, but all of those things we go through are things that make us 10 times better.”
