Lord Orochi Kupa – Ex Stacy

Blog, Industry Spotlight, ME Blog, Music, Videos

Lord Orochi Kup offers fans feelings of ecstasy with hot new single

HOUMA, LA – Lord Orochi Kupa has more pain in his life than most people deal with in two lifetimes. He grew up in a town notorious for racism. He’s been shot at, stalked, profiled, denied, and abused so many times he can no longer count. The pain is overwhelming, and at times makes him feel like he’s going insane. The only way he can keep that insanity at bay is through music.

The counterpoint to that pain is ecstasy, which is the central theme of his new single “Ex Stacy.” Currently available across all streaming platforms, it’s a song that showcases this young up-and-coming artist’s unique sound and style in impressive ways. It literally gives the listener feelings of ecstasy, which is appropriate considering it was written to be played at parties or at the club.

“I was inspired to write them song after rolling and partying and having a good time,” he said. “I remember watching the girls in the strobe lights and the tripping on the Dreamy Dragon, and that’s when the song came to fruition. I relate to others through pain music. I help them see the beauty in the pain and the beautify in the chaos and help them through that pain. This is a song that will give them the ecstasy they’re looking for.”

If you ask him when music became such an integral part of his life, he’ll point to that moment at age 8 when his father left. Then he’ll tell you that the streets taught him music. People freestyling on street corners and rapping about their situations in life became the first pieces of lyricism that would one day fill his songs. At age 8 he took the initiative to find an old laptop and a cheap mic and start putting his ideas into song. He loved it, and hasn’t looked back since.

“I have a very long and sad journey, but this music is my light,” he said. “the devil has come at me so many ways, and my only peace is music. I gotta run to my music to feel sane, or I’ll feel insane and my monster will just come out. I’m trying to hold that back and stay sane with this music.”

Lord Orochi said he knows others all over the world can relate to those feelings, especially in these times of such despair and injustice. He relates to people through his music because he knows where they come from, and in comparison to other indie artists out there he said he feels like he’s hungrier than most.

“I know how it feels to live in a trailer – to live on the streets and not eat,” he said. “I can relate to the real people. I can relate to those who are misunderstood and lost, and the mentally damaged. At the end of the day I’m not trying to impress anybody. I know people love me and they can relate to me. I just want to be a good person and do God’s work to change the world. I want to change lives and make people happy. When they’re going through the loss and pain and mourning, they can go to my music and feel at peace and at ease.”

Frank Doto – Don’t Make It Hot

Blog, Industry Spotlight, ME Blog, Music, Promo, Videos

CEO of Everything Official Entertainment drops hot new mixtape ‘Mr. Triple Double’

THOMASVILLE, NC – New York and the Deep South come together on a hot new mixtape from North Carolina artist Frank Doto. “Mr. Triple Double” is an impressive display of originality and raw talent, with songs that take advantage of some of the best up-and-coming artists in the industry today.

“Don’t Make It Hot” is the debut single from the project. It’s a jumpy, club vibe made for the streets. Filled with a lot of aggressive energy, it’s actually a song that encourages the hustlers in the game to be more subtle with what they do so as not to attract too much attention to themselves.

“You gotta keep some shit low-key,” Doto said. “Keep your moves low-key and be more subtle. You can draw attention to yourself, but don’t do it so much. You don’t need to say nothing, just let your actions speak for themselves. If people know, they know. If you understand what’s going on, you don’t need to question it.”

Doto is an artist who has been doing music since he was young, and who has been perfecting his craft for many years. He moved around a lot as a kid, and it wasn’t until recently that he felt like he belonged to any one place after having settled in Thomasville, North Carolina. Over the past few years he’s put down roots and developed relationships with artists in the area. He has also started giving back to the world by working with younger artists and teaching them some of what he’s learned about the music industry along the way. The best way he does that is through his label Everything Official Entertainment.

“I just influence people,” he said. “I want to leave my mark like that. I just want to help people and not really focus on myself so much. I’m focused on you – both as a listener and other artists. ‘Dot in the spot, don’t make it hot.’ That’s my saying. Everybody already knows me for that, and I’m making it like an anthem. And anybody who hears it knows there’s gonna be high quality music that’s gonna tell the truth and give them a good time.”

In addition to “Mr. Triple Double,” Doto is working on another mixtape called “Ashy 2 Classy,” which is set to release later this summer. Doto works closely with artists like Money Hunt Keeda and K. The Mogul to create a variety of songs that showcase his unique sound and style on the project.

Coach KG – Mission

Blog, Industry Spotlight, ME Blog, Music, Promo, Videos

Coach KG offers inspirational message to the masses with new single ‘Mission’

SEATTLE, WA – For most of his life Kevin Lee Green has been someone others could count on for guidance and help. He’s been a coach to many people – both literally and figuratively. And so it makes sense that the music from Coach KG would be uplifting and motivational in ways that inspire others to chase their dreams and make the most of their lives. His latest single “Mission” is a perfect example of that.

The first track off a forthcoming mixtape called “Time Will Tell,” it’s a song that offers the world an inside look at his life in hopes that others would see his trials and triumphs and use his story as a way to make positive decisions for themselves. It’s a story that starts on the streets of Memphis, where he grew up as a standout athlete while also struggling with hustling in the neighborhood. Watching the OGs in his neighborhood inspired him to be more successful, but a series of bad choices got him in trouble. Eventually he moved all the way across the country to Seattle, Washington, and started a new life.

“This song is about me trying to find my way through Seattle after coming from Memphis,” Coach KG said. “I know I’ve got a purpose. Music has always been one of my loves, and I’m believing in that right now. I’m on a mission. I gotta get it. I remember messed up days – my father, Kevin Lee Green Sr., was in an unsolved homicide in late 2020 – but I’m not dwelling on those messed up days. I’m looking for better days.”

“Mission” features a nice, smooth, steady tone with a bit of a Memphis feel to it. It’s a song that shows off his unique sound and style – a style that was inspired by some of his favorite artists in the game, such as Yo Gotti, 8Ball, MJG, and Rod Wave, who KG said is the reason he decided to pursue music professionally in the first place.

“When I first started I didn’t know how to record, and I looked at some of his stuff,” KG said. “I record better with just me and the engineer, just like him. I create Trap music and Drill music, but also music for women and people who are just having a bad day and can’t find no luck. I want to touch on all things in the industry, and I want people to understand that Coach KG is versatile.”

In addition to music, Coach KG has also started his own shoe company and youth training program called KG Urban Athletics. He’s making a splash on the music scene in big ways, and will follow up “Mission” with two more singles on June 12 and June 26. DayToday Craze – Complaints

Blog, Industry Spotlight, ME Blog, Music, Promo, Videos

Young artist encourages audiences to embrace today with new EP ‘Free Energy’

ORLANDO, FL – DayToday Craze is a new up-and-coming artist from Orlando whose new single “Complaints” is the perfect introduction to his unique sound and style. Already in his young career he’s an artist who has opened for Lil Boosie and Lil Webbie, and he’s also rubbed shoulders with his hero 50 Cent and MMG’s Gunplay. His energy as a rising artist is electrifying and unmatched, and couples with a warm and welcoming approach that connects with a wide audience. He passionately strives to be the new leader for the next generation, and his music serves as an influential vehicle for that leadership.

With “Complaints,” DayToday Craze offers fans a real Pop-type vibe with a dancehall feel with tons of energy. It’s ready-made for the clubs or for summer parties, or even just for hanging out with friends on the back porch or around the pool. But that doesn’t mean it’s a song with shallow lyrics. In point of fact, the song has deep meanings that will give listeners something much more poignant to grab onto.

“The idea was to create a song that brought feel-good energy but still allowed you to feel that rhythm that makes you want to move,” he said. “It’s vibrations that come with a message. I was thinking big when I made the song – like worldwide. It has that international feel because I’m not trying to be miniscule with anything I’m doing. And this has a message that I think anyone in the world can connect with.”

Ultimately, the song is about a woman who has everything she could ever ask for, but she still complains about the things that make her unhappy. DayToday Craze said he hopes people will listen to it and learn to appreciate the blessings they have in their lives and stop looking for the greener grass on the other side of the hill.

In addition to “Complaints,” DayToday Craze has also dropped an EP called “Free Energy,” which is currently available across all streaming platforms. It’s a conglomerate of songs that present different energy in a variety of ways. The songs on the project invite listeners to dance, or vibe out, or just chill, in various ways. DayToday Craze said they embrace the vibrations that people are surrounded by and the spiritual things we come across in our day-to-day lives.

“I wanted to embed that feeling into all the songs on the EP,” he said. “Every day is something new – a new high or a powerful new moment. I don’t live in tomorrow or yesterday, I live in now. And what we can do now to make a change for tomorrow and better days for the future is what my music is all about. It’s bigger than merely being a hype guy or someone who makes good vibrations. I want my music to remind people that they still have now. Yesterday is over with, and you don’t have to worry about tomorrow, because right now is important.”

DayToday Craze said he plans to follow up his EP with a full album called “Closed Circuit” later this year. Until then, he plans to drop some videos for the singles on the EP.

Ivoree Xavier – Wish You Well

Blog, Industry Spotlight, ME Blog, Music, Promo, Videos

Ivoree Xavier parlays success with NBC’s ‘The Voice’ into successful career, launches hot new single ‘Wish you Well’

LOS ANGELES, CA – Many people can relate to the experience of just being over someone they used to be infatuated with. All of that passion and desire somehow goes away – oftentimes fading slowly over time, but in rare occasions flashing away in an instant. But there’s always a moment of clarity when you realize you’re over them, and in some cases you’re so over them that you don’t even want to wish them well.

That’s the sentiment captured perfectly on the new single from West Coast artist Ivoree Xavier. His new hit “Wish You Well” is an upbeat Pop groove with a little bit of aggression in it. Paired with a stellar music video shot at the Museum of Dream Space in LA and Tiger Lab Studios in Van Nuys, the song and its visuals evoke a vibrant display of emotions. The video is so over-saturated with color, in fact, that already its getting buzz for its audaciousness, and compared to big hits like Rihana and Calvin Harris’ “This is what you Came for.”

“The exhibit at the museum is one of those art exhibits with different rooms and different installations,” Ivoree said. “The video is me interacting with those installations and dancing around, almost like you’re taking the journey with me through this relationship that ends with you finally realizing how over them you are. You’re so over them that you don’t want to wish them any type of well. You’re just over them – like, ‘F*ck you bitch! This is stupid!’”

“Wish You Well” is just the latest hit from this young star who has already made a major splash on the national stage after auditioning for NBC’s “The Voice” on two separate occasions. Born and raised in Akron, Ohio, Ivoree began singing at a young age and fondly remembers the times when he and his family would ride around in the car singing together. He has developed his voice into a powerhouse, mastering the full vocal range – from falsetto to bass – and enabling him to mold any genre to his own unique sound and style. Inspired primarily by Pop, R&B, Soul and Rock, Ivoree brings a fresh perspective through his music. His debut project – formerly under the stage name Beedabee – has amassed more than 1 million streams and has landed him a feature on the Reuter’s sign in Times Square. As his journey in music continues, he’s ready to take things to the next level.

“Without music, I know I wouldn’t be here today,” he said. “If not for certain songs or artists, I would have ended up in a different place. I want to be that voice for others who are going through certain situations, and I hope they can turn on one of my songs and realize it’s all gonna be OK.”

VI The Boss – Issues

Blog, Industry Spotlight, ME Blog, Music, Promo, Videos

Old-school Hip-Hop meets new-school sound on impressive new project from Chicago rapper VI The Boss

CHICAGO, IL – The things people will do for money can sometimes be so despicable that they would make most people cringe. There’s even a passage in the Bible that warns against the love of money, calling it “The Root of all Evil.” That’s also the title of the new EP from Chicago rapper VI The Boss. The six-song project that’s currently available across all streaming platforms is an exploration of the crazy things people will do to get ahead, and the consequences that come from a life lived in pursuit of the next dollar.

VI The Boss is an artist who brings back the old school style with a modern twist. Over the course of his career he’s established himself as a big player in the music industry. Already well-known in his local scene, VI The Boss is expanding to new audiences with his mainstream appeal. Both timely and timeless, his rhythmic beats are layered with catchy lyrics and clever wordplay. He incorporates hip-hop and R&B vibes with his melodic raps, resulting in tracks that bump.

“If you actually listen to my music, I’m saying something,” he said. “This day and age you can say whatever you want to – anybody can rap – but what I bring to the table is rare. I got some little fun vibes and I harmonize and stuff like that. I’m also a boss … legitimately. I own three LLCs and have my own clothing line company and my own record label and my own recording studio. I’ve got a lot of things going on right now, and this new project is just the tip of the iceberg.”

VI The Boss is setting himself apart from the new age. With a variety of songs in his impressive catalog, he is bringing back familiar topics with a fresh perspective. His music is relatable, honest and real. VI writes from the heart, taking the lessons he has learned and redistributing his wisdom to the masses. VI The Boss is ushering in the next generation of sound with his urban pop. His artistry and craft have evolved, and his sound appeals to today’s younger generation with feel-good club music.

Take the standout single “Issues,” for instance. As the debut single from the EP, the song talks about betrayal and snitches and the consequences that come from back-stabbing your brother. Produced by Riffe God, it’s the perfect song to show the world how this veteran of the game is bringing a new sound to the industry. He follows that with “I Need You,” which has more of a trap vibe underneath a love ballad. Both songs are just the entry point to a project that brings a powerful new sound to the stage.

“Ultimately I want my music to be known for being inspirational,” VI said. “If I can do it, you can do it. I came from nothing – I was literally sleeping in staircases – and look at where I’m at now. You can do the same thing. You’ve just got to stay focused and never give up.”

Kev The Pope – Come Up

Kev The Pope showcases catchy melodies against bouncy vibe on hot new track ‘Come Up’

BROOKLYN, NY – Swaggy bounce set against a laid-back vibe sets the stage for the hot new single from East Coast artist Kev the Pope. “Come Up” is a chill summer groove that perfectly showcases the amazing skill of this fast-rising artist, while also introducing the world to an amazing young talent in 16-year-old producer Meloun Joe. It’s a song that comes on the heels of Kev The Pope’s successful EP “Life Is Good,” which made waves all around the world in 2020 and has propelled him into another level of success in his career as a musician. In fact, it was that project that put him on the radar of Meloun Joe, who actually lives in the Czech Republic.

“He found me because of my last EP and messaged me on Instagram,” Kev The Pope said. “He said he had a beat package for me, and when he sent it I was blown away. ‘Come Up’ was one of the first songs I made with him. As soon as I heard it I had the song right away. I came up with it in five minutes and recorded it the next day. We shot the video for it in four hours a week later. It’s the perfect song to describe where I’m at right now in my career. I’m on the come up to reaching the next height in my career, but I have so much more work to be done.”

Kev The Pope is a multi-talented artist who got his name from the late emcee Sean Price. His mission as a musician is to surround himself with positive energy, and in fact his name stands for Please Only Positive Energy, something the New York rapper knows is vital to achieving his goals.

Kev got an early start in the music industry. After high school he began pursuing music full time and interned at a recording studio in Brooklyn. He started writing music for other artists, and in 2017 he released his first solo “Where I Came From.” In 2018 he released his first album “Crazy Weird Cool Love,” which had features from Troy Ave, Skyzoo, and Jav. In 2020 he released his EP “Life Is Good,” and already in 2021 he’s been hard at work developing a new EP “Life Is Good 2” with Meloun Joe serving as the producer.

“I’m doing a whole series with that title,” Kev said. “With this one it shows my progress and how I’m elevating. Part 1 was showing that life was good but I’m still working and grinding to get to where I want to be. Part 2 shows you that life is good, but I’m still on the come up. This one has some features on it to see that I’m working with more people and growing as an artist, and it’s all produced by Meloun Joe, so it has a different feel than the last one.”

Kev said he hopes his music will ultimately be known for being timeless and influential. “Come Up” is the kind of song that will help him get in front of a larger global audience, and it’s catchy melodies and bouncy vibe are sure to inspire people in a myriad of ways.

“That’s true of all my music – it’s something that people can gravitate to,” he said. “My music is motivational and inspirational and has content that’s teaching you something.”

Whiteboi Splash – Dust It Off

Blog, Industry Spotlight, ME Blog, Music, Promo, Videos

International sensation sets the stage for next viral dance challenge with new single ‘Dusted Off’

HOUSTON, TX – Cayden Pipken – also known as Whiteboi Splash– is a fast-rising young talent out of Houston, Texas, whose upbeat dance-style music is setting the South on fire. His latest hit “Dust It Off” is a dance-worthy track that is sure to become a TikTok viral sensation. Collaborating with fellow artist Mighty Bay – who is featured on the single – to make a dance challenge with the song, Whiteboi Splash uses the song to push past the negativity that has hounded him throughout his young career and propel himself into the realms of global stardom.

“It’s a song about dusting off the haters and all the bad energy,” said Nick Johnson of Clutch Life Entertainment (Whiteboi Splash’s manager). “The video will be a fun, upbeat vibe that shows him dressed up as a janitor dusting things off and setting up the dance challenge. We’re sure it’s going to be the next major dance craze.”

Whiteboi Splash started off as a dancer and got his interest in making music while working with other artists in the industry over the years. About two-and-a-half years ago, he started writing and recording his own music, and he hasn’t looked back since. He’s already had the opportunity to open for major artists such as Dababy, NLE Choppa, Quinn NFN, Riff Raff, and Sauce Walka. And he’s gained major attention across social media platforms like Instagram and Triller. He even caught the attention of the legendary P Diddy, who messaged him on Instagram to congratulate him on his success.

Parlaying that early success into more songs, Whiteboi Splash has made a name for himself doing Triller and TikTok challenges, many of them going viral and setting him up as a truly international artist. Featuring an old-school vibe with a new-school twist, his sound is one-of-a-kind. He loves to perform in the middle of the Pop and Hip Hop lane, and almost always creates music that is fun, upbeat and exciting.

“We’re making turn-up music,” Johnson said. “He’s making music that relates to a younger audience and is dance-worthy. We’re always looking out for what will play best next, and he has even more singles ready to go this year.”

Johnson said the next single on the table for Whiteboi Splash is a song called “Supervisor” which is set to be distributed across all streaming platforms in the next month.
