BossCee Proves She’s Here to Make Money, Not Friends with Her New Single “Frienemies” 

BossCee is giving you all the vibes needed to boss up on fake friends with her new track “Frienemies”. Spoiler alert: after seeing the visual, you may want to quit your day job and boss up too. Don’t say we didn’t warn you. The “Frienemies” official video reached over 10k views almost as fast as it’s release. BossCee’s fiery tone sets this track ablaze as she calls out anybody praying on her downfall. After hearing this track you might want to get on her good side because BossCee’s here to stay. 

The name BossCee speaks for itself, from the slums of Brownsville Brooklyn to Arizona and straight to the charts, this Puerto Rican Goddess has paved her own way and is not afraid to make it known that she knows exactly who she is. Surrounded by music her entire life BossCee began singing and songwriting at the age of 13 years old and has never stopped. 

Embedded in her DNA, growing up with a producer for a dad influenced her love for music. It also sparked a flame in her uncle and brother as well as they made their mark in the industry as Producers known as The Trakformaz. 

Now based in Arizona, she brings her East Coast vibe to the West Coast hills. Her unique style was birthed from influences like Foxy Brown, Aaliyah, Lauren Hill, Missy Elliot, Teyana Taylor, and Rico Nasty.

Yolo Ru offers ready-made hit for the summer with new single ‘Got It on Me’ 

FAYETTEVILLE, NC – Yolo Ru is an artist and former athlete born in Trinidad and Tobago but raised in Fayetteville, North Carolina. His unique brand of music is intended to inspire other people to push and grind – a theme that comes front and center with his latest hit single “Got It on Me.” 

Featuring notorious artist Duke Deuce, the single has an aggressive in-your-face feel that’s reminiscent of Lil Jon or Busta Rhymes. The upbeat tone and catchy hooks make it a sure-to-be club hit – something that fans all over the world will be demanding replays of again and again. The song also features Yolo’s brother Koon Ru, who he attributes his music career to because he was the one person in the family who started rapping first.  

“I was a football player and ended up losing my scholarship because of legal situations,” Yolo said. “My brother was on house arrest at the time and was always rapping, and I told him when he got locked up I was gonna push the music and build a solid foundation for us to step up on when he got out. We have a good story. We make moves quietly and let the impact be loud. That brother combination is missing in the industry, and we definitely want to represent that.” 

Koon Ru was released from prison in 2017 and since that time, the Ru Gang has been making waves in the music industry. They quickly released their debut project, “Blood Brothers” which featured the singles “Smash Hit” and “Rumble” – both of which have hundreds of thousands of streams on digital platforms. They’ve also performed in New York, Florida, Atlanta, California, and their hometown in Trinidad and Tobago. They’ve released two other albums – “Ru Two Times” and “Pinky & Tha Brain” – and Yolo has also released a solo single called “Chasing a Bag,” which also has more than 200,000 streams.  

“Got It on Me” is just the next in line of big hits for these brothers. Yolo said he’s excited for fans to hear the single and for it to begin to make the rounds through the clubs during the warmer months of the year as its upbeat vibe is ready-made for having a good time. 

“There’s been a lot of sad music coming out lately,” he said. “There’s nothing wrong with that – during the pandemic it’s cool. But now that it’s warming up and we can go outside, we need that upbeat, fun song. This is a club vibe that has a lot of energy and makes you happy. It’s a different energy than what’s going on right now.”

West Coast Folk Rock band Daniel Millers Coffee Shop drops nostalgic new single ‘Cincinnati’ 

FRIDAY HARBOR, WA – A mixture of sounds within the Folk Rock and Americana realm take center stage on a new single from West Coast artist Daniel Miller who hails from Friday Harbor which is the most northwestern county in the continental USA. “Cincinnati” is a fusion of Rock, Pop, Folk and Indie genres in one perfect nostalgic track. Currently available across all streaming platforms, “Cincinnati” is about a person who moved from the Midwest to the Golden Coast of California to build a new life but finds himself remembering his old life and the things that helped him become who he is today. 

“It has a nice story to it that fits right in the Folk/Pop range,” Miller said. “It’s about a guy who loves it in California but knows that he might move back to Cincinnati someday. My style is Folk, Pop and Rock, but more than anything else, I want my music to be known for being good story songs – like Neil Young or Lady Gaga. I make music that has a good message, but sometimes also just make music for fun.” 

Miller is a singer and songwriter who is from the Pacific Northwest. “Cincinnati” is just one of some songs he has ready to release this year under the umbrella of “Daniel Miller’s Coffee Shop” – a collective that he said evokes a certain kind of feel when you hear it.  

“I think it’s a cool name for a band,” he said. “I’ve owned an antique store, but I’ve never owned a coffee shop. But I love coffee shops, I visit one every morning. And I believe my music gives off a vibe that fits perfectly in that coffee shop environment.” 

Miller said he loves performing live even more than recording, and his latest single will be perfect for playing in front of audiences as soon as the quarantine is lifted and live events are open again. Other songs like “Vintage Summer” and “She Wants to be a Rockstar” are also perfect for live audiences, he said, and both will have a music video in coming months. He also worked with DeDe Troit from the Punk Rock band UXA to do a remix of “She Wants to be a Rockstar.”  

“I have always loved songwriting and singing, and this is the time to get my songs out there more than I ever have before,” he said. “I’ve also done some acting. I had a small scene with Andy Griffith many years ago and a small part in a Jim Carey movie. But my main passion is recording and doing live performances. I think my music will really resonate with people and I’m excited to get it out there.”

Jai Humble is the charming homegirl from next door. Originally from San Diego, California, Humble is making her swag be known on the r&b scene. She is a laid back, songstress with a story to tell. Her family’s military background gave her the discipline and structure needed to become a star athlete. The basketball celebutante was struck with tragedy right before her senior year in high school. Losing her 15 year-old brother Ziggy brought Jai Humble so low that she had no choice but to rise like a phoenix. She went on to be recognized for her basketball talents on a regional level which led to her college career at Mississippi College. However, Jai Humble felt hungry for something more. As a youth, she was the lead for her church choir and never lost her voice. Jai Humble gained the attention of local entertainment figures. This inspired her move to Dallas, Texas and she never looked back. 

“Whiskey On Ice” is a sexy record that will leave any woman in a trance. Like a good session of love-making, it starts slow with the pulsating pluck of the bass. The verse pulls at your emotions creating climax as each instrument slowly drops into the beat. As soon as we reach the peak at the hook, we’re met with the slow-grind energy of the bridge. Jai Humble and her dancers are dressed in suits with fedoras, similar to Janet Jackson’s “Lonely” and Teyana Taylor’s “Bare Wit Me”. The sultry video alludes more sexual tension than actually portraying it.
