Coach KG – Mission

Coach KG offers inspirational message to the masses with new single ‘Mission’

SEATTLE, WA – For most of his life Kevin Lee Green has been someone others could count on for guidance and help. He’s been a coach to many people – both literally and figuratively. And so it makes sense that the music from Coach KG would be uplifting and motivational in ways that inspire others to chase their dreams and make the most of their lives. His latest single “Mission” is a perfect example of that.

The first track off a forthcoming mixtape called “Time Will Tell,” it’s a song that offers the world an inside look at his life in hopes that others would see his trials and triumphs and use his story as a way to make positive decisions for themselves. It’s a story that starts on the streets of Memphis, where he grew up as a standout athlete while also struggling with hustling in the neighborhood. Watching the OGs in his neighborhood inspired him to be more successful, but a series of bad choices got him in trouble. Eventually he moved all the way across the country to Seattle, Washington, and started a new life.

“This song is about me trying to find my way through Seattle after coming from Memphis,” Coach KG said. “I know I’ve got a purpose. Music has always been one of my loves, and I’m believing in that right now. I’m on a mission. I gotta get it. I remember messed up days – my father, Kevin Lee Green Sr., was in an unsolved homicide in late 2020 – but I’m not dwelling on those messed up days. I’m looking for better days.”

“Mission” features a nice, smooth, steady tone with a bit of a Memphis feel to it. It’s a song that shows off his unique sound and style – a style that was inspired by some of his favorite artists in the game, such as Yo Gotti, 8Ball, MJG, and Rod Wave, who KG said is the reason he decided to pursue music professionally in the first place.

“When I first started I didn’t know how to record, and I looked at some of his stuff,” KG said. “I record better with just me and the engineer, just like him. I create Trap music and Drill music, but also music for women and people who are just having a bad day and can’t find no luck. I want to touch on all things in the industry, and I want people to understand that Coach KG is versatile.”

In addition to music, Coach KG has also started his own shoe company and youth training program called KG Urban Athletics. He’s making a splash on the music scene in big ways, and will follow up “Mission” with two more singles on June 12 and June 26. DayToday Craze – Complaints

Blog, Industry Spotlight, ME Blog, Music, Promo, Videos

Young artist encourages audiences to embrace today with new EP ‘Free Energy’

ORLANDO, FL – DayToday Craze is a new up-and-coming artist from Orlando whose new single “Complaints” is the perfect introduction to his unique sound and style. Already in his young career he’s an artist who has opened for Lil Boosie and Lil Webbie, and he’s also rubbed shoulders with his hero 50 Cent and MMG’s Gunplay. His energy as a rising artist is electrifying and unmatched, and couples with a warm and welcoming approach that connects with a wide audience. He passionately strives to be the new leader for the next generation, and his music serves as an influential vehicle for that leadership.

With “Complaints,” DayToday Craze offers fans a real Pop-type vibe with a dancehall feel with tons of energy. It’s ready-made for the clubs or for summer parties, or even just for hanging out with friends on the back porch or around the pool. But that doesn’t mean it’s a song with shallow lyrics. In point of fact, the song has deep meanings that will give listeners something much more poignant to grab onto.

“The idea was to create a song that brought feel-good energy but still allowed you to feel that rhythm that makes you want to move,” he said. “It’s vibrations that come with a message. I was thinking big when I made the song – like worldwide. It has that international feel because I’m not trying to be miniscule with anything I’m doing. And this has a message that I think anyone in the world can connect with.”

Ultimately, the song is about a woman who has everything she could ever ask for, but she still complains about the things that make her unhappy. DayToday Craze said he hopes people will listen to it and learn to appreciate the blessings they have in their lives and stop looking for the greener grass on the other side of the hill.

In addition to “Complaints,” DayToday Craze has also dropped an EP called “Free Energy,” which is currently available across all streaming platforms. It’s a conglomerate of songs that present different energy in a variety of ways. The songs on the project invite listeners to dance, or vibe out, or just chill, in various ways. DayToday Craze said they embrace the vibrations that people are surrounded by and the spiritual things we come across in our day-to-day lives.

“I wanted to embed that feeling into all the songs on the EP,” he said. “Every day is something new – a new high or a powerful new moment. I don’t live in tomorrow or yesterday, I live in now. And what we can do now to make a change for tomorrow and better days for the future is what my music is all about. It’s bigger than merely being a hype guy or someone who makes good vibrations. I want my music to remind people that they still have now. Yesterday is over with, and you don’t have to worry about tomorrow, because right now is important.”

DayToday Craze said he plans to follow up his EP with a full album called “Closed Circuit” later this year. Until then, he plans to drop some videos for the singles on the EP.

Ivoree Xavier – Wish You Well

Blog, Industry Spotlight, ME Blog, Music, Promo, Videos

Ivoree Xavier parlays success with NBC’s ‘The Voice’ into successful career, launches hot new single ‘Wish you Well’

LOS ANGELES, CA – Many people can relate to the experience of just being over someone they used to be infatuated with. All of that passion and desire somehow goes away – oftentimes fading slowly over time, but in rare occasions flashing away in an instant. But there’s always a moment of clarity when you realize you’re over them, and in some cases you’re so over them that you don’t even want to wish them well.

That’s the sentiment captured perfectly on the new single from West Coast artist Ivoree Xavier. His new hit “Wish You Well” is an upbeat Pop groove with a little bit of aggression in it. Paired with a stellar music video shot at the Museum of Dream Space in LA and Tiger Lab Studios in Van Nuys, the song and its visuals evoke a vibrant display of emotions. The video is so over-saturated with color, in fact, that already its getting buzz for its audaciousness, and compared to big hits like Rihana and Calvin Harris’ “This is what you Came for.”

“The exhibit at the museum is one of those art exhibits with different rooms and different installations,” Ivoree said. “The video is me interacting with those installations and dancing around, almost like you’re taking the journey with me through this relationship that ends with you finally realizing how over them you are. You’re so over them that you don’t want to wish them any type of well. You’re just over them – like, ‘F*ck you bitch! This is stupid!’”

“Wish You Well” is just the latest hit from this young star who has already made a major splash on the national stage after auditioning for NBC’s “The Voice” on two separate occasions. Born and raised in Akron, Ohio, Ivoree began singing at a young age and fondly remembers the times when he and his family would ride around in the car singing together. He has developed his voice into a powerhouse, mastering the full vocal range – from falsetto to bass – and enabling him to mold any genre to his own unique sound and style. Inspired primarily by Pop, R&B, Soul and Rock, Ivoree brings a fresh perspective through his music. His debut project – formerly under the stage name Beedabee – has amassed more than 1 million streams and has landed him a feature on the Reuter’s sign in Times Square. As his journey in music continues, he’s ready to take things to the next level.

“Without music, I know I wouldn’t be here today,” he said. “If not for certain songs or artists, I would have ended up in a different place. I want to be that voice for others who are going through certain situations, and I hope they can turn on one of my songs and realize it’s all gonna be OK.”

VI The Boss – Issues

Blog, Industry Spotlight, ME Blog, Music, Promo, Videos

Old-school Hip-Hop meets new-school sound on impressive new project from Chicago rapper VI The Boss

CHICAGO, IL – The things people will do for money can sometimes be so despicable that they would make most people cringe. There’s even a passage in the Bible that warns against the love of money, calling it “The Root of all Evil.” That’s also the title of the new EP from Chicago rapper VI The Boss. The six-song project that’s currently available across all streaming platforms is an exploration of the crazy things people will do to get ahead, and the consequences that come from a life lived in pursuit of the next dollar.

VI The Boss is an artist who brings back the old school style with a modern twist. Over the course of his career he’s established himself as a big player in the music industry. Already well-known in his local scene, VI The Boss is expanding to new audiences with his mainstream appeal. Both timely and timeless, his rhythmic beats are layered with catchy lyrics and clever wordplay. He incorporates hip-hop and R&B vibes with his melodic raps, resulting in tracks that bump.

“If you actually listen to my music, I’m saying something,” he said. “This day and age you can say whatever you want to – anybody can rap – but what I bring to the table is rare. I got some little fun vibes and I harmonize and stuff like that. I’m also a boss … legitimately. I own three LLCs and have my own clothing line company and my own record label and my own recording studio. I’ve got a lot of things going on right now, and this new project is just the tip of the iceberg.”

VI The Boss is setting himself apart from the new age. With a variety of songs in his impressive catalog, he is bringing back familiar topics with a fresh perspective. His music is relatable, honest and real. VI writes from the heart, taking the lessons he has learned and redistributing his wisdom to the masses. VI The Boss is ushering in the next generation of sound with his urban pop. His artistry and craft have evolved, and his sound appeals to today’s younger generation with feel-good club music.

Take the standout single “Issues,” for instance. As the debut single from the EP, the song talks about betrayal and snitches and the consequences that come from back-stabbing your brother. Produced by Riffe God, it’s the perfect song to show the world how this veteran of the game is bringing a new sound to the industry. He follows that with “I Need You,” which has more of a trap vibe underneath a love ballad. Both songs are just the entry point to a project that brings a powerful new sound to the stage.

“Ultimately I want my music to be known for being inspirational,” VI said. “If I can do it, you can do it. I came from nothing – I was literally sleeping in staircases – and look at where I’m at now. You can do the same thing. You’ve just got to stay focused and never give up.”

Whiteboi Splash – Dust It Off

Blog, Industry Spotlight, ME Blog, Music, Promo, Videos

International sensation sets the stage for next viral dance challenge with new single ‘Dusted Off’

HOUSTON, TX – Cayden Pipken – also known as Whiteboi Splash– is a fast-rising young talent out of Houston, Texas, whose upbeat dance-style music is setting the South on fire. His latest hit “Dust It Off” is a dance-worthy track that is sure to become a TikTok viral sensation. Collaborating with fellow artist Mighty Bay – who is featured on the single – to make a dance challenge with the song, Whiteboi Splash uses the song to push past the negativity that has hounded him throughout his young career and propel himself into the realms of global stardom.

“It’s a song about dusting off the haters and all the bad energy,” said Nick Johnson of Clutch Life Entertainment (Whiteboi Splash’s manager). “The video will be a fun, upbeat vibe that shows him dressed up as a janitor dusting things off and setting up the dance challenge. We’re sure it’s going to be the next major dance craze.”

Whiteboi Splash started off as a dancer and got his interest in making music while working with other artists in the industry over the years. About two-and-a-half years ago, he started writing and recording his own music, and he hasn’t looked back since. He’s already had the opportunity to open for major artists such as Dababy, NLE Choppa, Quinn NFN, Riff Raff, and Sauce Walka. And he’s gained major attention across social media platforms like Instagram and Triller. He even caught the attention of the legendary P Diddy, who messaged him on Instagram to congratulate him on his success.

Parlaying that early success into more songs, Whiteboi Splash has made a name for himself doing Triller and TikTok challenges, many of them going viral and setting him up as a truly international artist. Featuring an old-school vibe with a new-school twist, his sound is one-of-a-kind. He loves to perform in the middle of the Pop and Hip Hop lane, and almost always creates music that is fun, upbeat and exciting.

“We’re making turn-up music,” Johnson said. “He’s making music that relates to a younger audience and is dance-worthy. We’re always looking out for what will play best next, and he has even more singles ready to go this year.”

Johnson said the next single on the table for Whiteboi Splash is a song called “Supervisor” which is set to be distributed across all streaming platforms in the next month.

Reigng – French (feat. Ashley Pater)

Blog, Industry Spotlight, ME Blog, Music, Promo, Videos

South Florida producer creates trippy, lo-fi, airy take on hip-hop with new single ‘French’

MIAMI, FL – A chill track paired with hard-hitting 808s comes together for a unique new take on the R&B/hip-hop fusion with the new single “French” from Miami-based artist Reigng. This modern-day love song has a definitive hip-hop feel, thanks to the beats produced by Reigng, but its chill, laid-back vibe is distinctly R&B and perfectly suits the one-of-a-kind vocals of UK artist Shango SK. The two linked up through a mutual friend in the music industry, and collaborated with a third artist named Ashley Pater from Canada to create this soon-to-be-hit that’s slated to drop across all streaming platforms on June 4.

For years, Reigng has been producing beats that have been embraced by other artists. His style is one that focuses on getting a clean sound and he never sticks to any one genre. Instead, he lets the music speak to him, and his organic process can flow through anything from R&B to lo-fi to hip-hop and even rock or country, at times.

“My grandmother used to call me a jack of all trades because I would never stick to any one thing – I was always doing something different,” Reigng said. “I’ve tried to incorporate that into my music style, as well. Someone who reigns is like a ruler or a leader or the alpha, and me putting an extra g on the end of the name is like saying that I’m the leader of all different genres. But at the end of the day I hope my music is unpredictable. No one should ever really know what it is I’m releasing. The main thing I’d like to focus on is bringing a kind of trippy, lo-fi, airy take on hip-hop and R&B. And I’d really like to get to be known for this kind of soundscape sound, which people will hear with this new single ‘French.’”

Reigng said he first got into music when he was a child. His father played saxophone and was a DJ around town, and Reigng said he recalls many mornings during his childhood when his father would wake up the family by playing the sax. He experimented with music on his own throughout his teenage years, and then five years ago he and a cousin were messing around with beats and when he played one of his productions for his cousin, the response was far more exciting than he’d ever imagined. The encouragement he received made him want to dive even more deeply into music, and he hasn’t looked back since.

“Since then I’ve been working on releasing some instrumentals – synth-wave beats that are very lo-fi,” he said. “In 2021, I want to jump right back into hip-hop, and I already have sessions set up with local artists in Miami. A lot of artists will reach out to me via Instagram or email for collaborations, which is great because I really love to work with other artists. I’m definitely looking for a more international sound and alliances.”

AED Projek – Let’s Begin

Blog, Industry Spotlight, ME Blog, Music, Promo, Videos

Digital Music Creator Alonso Daniels offers dance track of the summer with hot new single ‘Let’s Begin’

ALEXANDRIA, VA – There’s one thing for certain that listeners of Alonso Daniels’ music can be sure of: there’s going to be a lot of energy. His latest single “Let’s Begin” is the perfect example. From the opening of the brash trumpet jazz intro to the very last beat drop, this dance-heavy upbeat track is the epitome of energy. It’s fun and upbeat and serves as the perfect introduction to what Daniels calls the “AED Projek” – a three-album extravaganza of upbeat songs that will take listeners on a musical journey over the next three years.

“It’s dance music that’s mainly instrumental, though sometimes there are lyrics,” Daniels said. “‘Let’s Begin’ is just the first single. My plan is to release three singles this year and then the first album, with two more albums over the next two years. And everything kind of gets fully explained through the videos that will come. Eventually I’ll have other musicians come along and play, as well. You can discover things along the way and take a journey.”

Daniels likened the project to something similar to what The Gorillaz would create in terms of elaborating on their music through other artistic mediums, like videos. “Let’s Begin” will establish the first step of that journey when the full video is released later this year. Even without the video, however, fans can enjoy the upbeat vibe that Daniels has created. The brash trumpet intro leads into a funky old-school hip-hop groove that includes record scratching and skipping lyrics.

“It’s definitely something you can dance to,” Daniels said. “It’s a song that says, ‘We’ve gone through a lot of rough times over the past year, so let’s just go and have fun right now.’ That’s really all it is – just dancing and having fun. Nothing serious. What comes later will come later.”

Daniels is a relative newcomer to the music recording industry, though he did spend some years as a manager for a band based out of France. He first came to music through his mother, who was a concert pianist. He said he remembers listening to her practice piano all day throughout his teenage years, and she even at one point tried to teach him how to play, though he never took to it. But she did instill within him a passion for good music, and eventually he started studying other artists who he considered to be some of the greats – such as The Beatles, Carlos Santana, Beck, Pink Floyd, and Maroon Five. Any band who created good energy caught his attention, and it’s that kind of vibe he tries to create in his own music.

“It’s nice when you dance to something and just let out a lot of energy,” he said. “That’s what I like to do and what I like to create. I don’t even really consider myself a musician as much as a digital music creator. And at the end of the day I hope people hear my music and say that it was inspiring, fun and energetic. Eventually I hope its music that will inspire people to think different and do better for themselves and for others. But for right now, let’s just have fun and dance.”

Daniels said his next single will be “Kiss, Kiss, Kiss,” which should drop later this summer. To listen to his music, or to follow him on social media, please visit the following links:

2Phantoms – This Means War

Blog, Industry Spotlight, ME Blog, Music, Promo, Videos

2Phantoms explores dark beauty with new Dark Pop hit ‘This Means War’

LONDON, UK – London-based 2Phantoms is bringing a new interpretation to Dark Pop with their hit new single “This Means War.” This powerhouse duo of skilled musicians has introduced a new arsenal of sounds into their repertoire with this incredible new track. It’s a song that’s immediately evocative of Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails or Jared Leto’s 30 Seconds to Mars. It’s a bit of a departure for two artists who have a rich musical history and experience spanning 10 years of playing live music in the realms of classical, jazz, rock and metal. But with “This Means War,” this duo shows an ability to create something truly original and immensely intriguing, bringing their own take on the Dark Pop genre.

The song is an anthem, in many ways, for anyone in the world who is tired of the status quo. It’s a charge to the masses to stop being apathetic about the injustices of the world and to instead recognize that through a combined effort the many can outweigh the few.

“This song is about a higher power saying they’re in charge and telling you what to do,” state the Phantoms. “Once they initiate that conflict, though, they’re heavily outmatched by the many. So ultimately it’s a song about the many verses the few and trying to inspire people to take charge of the wrongs of the world.”

The sound and vibe of this new single is one that 2Phantoms have developed within the past couple years as a result of what today’s world is throwing at us all. The two have been playing together for about 10 years, focusing on other genres of music. But as they explored more and collaborated on songwriting, they discovered a mutual love for Dark Pop and the different form of expression that genre allowed. “This Means War” is just the first of a handful of songs that the two have created, with more releases planned for this summer and later this year until it culminates with a full EP.

“This is a completely different animal from what we’ve been doing in the past,” they explain. “With this we’re trying to do something that doesn’t necessarily depend on anyone else, but on us only. We like the idea of having the freedom to do whatever we think and makes us happy, without having to be accountable to anyone else telling us what to do. We want it to be organic and experimental. What happens if we do this? Will it be a hit? Will it suck? We’re really enjoying that process and excited to see how people respond to the music.”

The single is currently available across all digital streaming platforms. To listen to 2Phantom’s music, or to follow them on social media, please visit the following links:

ShoNuff – Emergency

Industry Spotlight, ME Blog, Music, Promo, Videos

Cadence and flow pair with upbeat energy on hot new track ‘Emergency’ from Georgia rapper Shonuff

MARYS, GA –There’s no pretty picture to paint when it comes to telling the story of Fredrick “ShoNuff” Sanders. The multi-talented artist from South Georgia has lost everything … twice. Cards, credit, relationships … he’s even lost close friends and family members. But the one thing that has stayed steady through all of that is his love of music. It’s something he’s turned to in his darkest times, and for energy during the brief moments of joy and celebration. And over thepast decade-plus he’s steadily put together an archive of songs that both showcase his unique individual talent, and a sound and style that is relatable to a wide audience around the world.

That originality is put on full display with his latest single “Emergency,” featuring fellow Southern rapper T Lo Da Great. It’s a feel-good record with a lot of energy that also serves as an inspirational track for anyone who hears it. Produced by his cousin YSK Dre, the beat is a catchy groove that fits perfectly against lyrics that capture the urgency Shonuff feels when it comes to getting his music in front of the right people so that he can finally break through into the mainstream.

“When there’s an emergency, there’s an urgency for something to take place,” he said. “My emergency is for me to get my music out there and in the right lane. I’ve performed as opening acts for Ghetto Boyz and Three-Six Mafia and UGK and Yo Gotti, so I’ve been close a lot of times. But this feels different than ever before. I know that if this music could get in front of the right people it would blow up.”

The single not only brings a healthy amount of energy ready-made for the summer, but it also showcases Shonuff’s signature style and delivery. As a musician who started his career as a drummer, he approaches songwriting and recording from the standpoint of cadence and flow. His routine is to sit in the studio and listen to beats until he catches a vibe. Then he’ll start to mumble a cadence – something which has earned him the nickname “Mumbles” from other producers and artists he’s worked with – before eventually turning those mumbles into lyrics. Once he finds a hook, verse and bridge, he doesn’t look back.

“You’ll hear a lot of cadence-driven stuff in my music,” he said. “I can also sing a little taste, so you might hear some melodic stuff from me kind of like Drake. But usually I just go in the studio with nothing written – just an open mind and a ear for the beat. There’s nothing I can’t say that nobody else can’t say, but what makes it unique is me and the way I deliver it. Ultimately, I want to be known as the underdog who never gave up. When I finally get the right opportunity I really believe that I’m going to show people that my records are worthy of Billboards. I’m never gonna give up and I’m never gonna quite until I get in the right lane. I want an opportunity for my records to be placed amongst the best.”

In addition to “Emergency,” Shonuff said he also has a single called “Pray For Me” that is making the rounds among fans and growing in popularity. Both it and “Emergency” are available across all streaming platforms.

TinyGun – Rozay Muzik

Industry Spotlight, ME Blog, Music, Promo, Videos

TinyGun rides in the pocket of perfection with new EP ‘Shooterz Touch’

LOS ANGELES, CA – Anybody who watches Stephon Curry play basketball knows that the NBA superstar of the Golden State Warrior’s has one of the sweetest shots in the game. He has, as they say, a shooter’s touch. In a very similar way, Markell “TinyGun” Jones has the shooter’s touch when it comes to making music. He rides in the pocket, making hit after hit and establishing a career as one of the fastest rising young talents on the West Coast. He puts that skill on display with his latest EP “Shooterz Touch,” which is currently available across all streaming platforms.

Playing with multiple sports metaphors – including cover art that immolates ESPN’s SportsCenter set – the 11-song project is an impressive display of the raw talent and honed-in signature style that TinyGun exhibits. With standout singles like “Rozay Muzic,” it’s a tour-du-force of lyrical bars and catchy hooks.

“When you’ve got the shooter’s touch, you can make damn near anything,” TinyGun said. “If I keep pushing, I’m gonna make everything I shoot, too. The way I put my bars together is what makes me stand out more than anything else. My bar structure is kind of unorthodox. I’m taking my shots like Stephon Curry, but my bars are more like (NBA power forward) Draymond Green. He’s a little more aggressive and a little more rough. I come from that little bit of a dirty background – I’m still professional, but I still got it in me – and that shines through my music.”

With “Rozay Muzic,” TinyGun shows an impressive versatility as an artist while perfectly showcasing the concept of the entire EP. He samples “Magnificent” from Rick Ross and John Legend, and pairs that with an aggressive beat from producer DoneByBolt. He calls it a song where he’s just ranting, telling his listeners what he’s going through and been through and looking forward to in the future. It’s a song with a cool vibe and catchy beat that fans are already enjoying.

But more than anything, TinyGun creates music that’s laden with truth. In the midst of an industry that celebrates rappers who delivers lyrics about cars and clothes and money, TinyGun brings stories of real life that come from his experiences digging his way out of the struggle. He creates a roadmap, of sorts, to help people get out of the system and to break free from the negative cycle of street life.

All of TinyGun’s music is delivered under his label RiskTakerz. He plans to release a deluxe version of “Shooterz Touch” later this year, which he said will feature five or six more songs. He also is developing another EP with fellow LA artist DaiyDaiy, that he said could drop by the end of the summer.
