American rapper and singer Dior Carter launches two new singles to kick off the New Year

OAKLAND, CA – Andre Showers – known professionally as Dior Carter – is an American entertainer, rapper and singer from Oakland, California, whose new music is drawing attention from fans all over the U.S. Known for his exciting and energetic chill vibe and swag on the beat, along with his love of making entertaining music, Dior is a name that people need to pay attention to. He is President and Artist at RNS ENTERTAINMENT, LLC

His new singles “Problem” and “Nights Like This” are perfect examples of the kind of original music this fast-rising artist makes.

The aggressive tone takes a front seat against a hard-driving beat for a song that’s sure to get people hyped up. It’s quite a different vibe from “Nights Like This” which is way more chill and laid back. It’s a song about smoking some weed and having a food night out on the town.

“I’m vibing on a good night,” he said. “We’re going to side shows in Oakland and enjoying nights like this. It’s about the kind of nights that are so surreal you remember them forever. It’s just another vibe I have. I got so many styles and so many songs, I can really go any direction.”

Dior said he’s been doing music since he was about 8 or 9, and recorded his first two albums at the age of 13. He studied a lot of musicians throughout his teenage years, especially while riding the bus everyday to and from school. He said his favorites were Jay Z, Notorious B.I.G.,

Lil Wayne,  juvenile, DMX, Eminem, Ice Cube, Lauryn Hill, Dr.Dreand Busta Rhymes. To this day, some of their influences can be found in his music. But at the end of the day, his sound and style is unique and unlike anything else out there in the market.

“I want my music to be known for provoking the minds of others,” he said. “I’m all about grabbing other people and putting them into a mindset that I had when I wrote the song. But I want to do that in a positive way. I could rap about social justice or cultural change or just having a good time – whatever it is, I want to lift people up.”

Both of Dior’s singles are currently available across all streaming platforms. He said he plans on following them up with more singles later this year. He also has an album called “Can’t Stop Me” which was released in October 2020 that is making waves. Another album will be released in April entitled “Age of Aquarius”. Watch out for it.

Chazo – Can’t Help It

Blog, Industry Spotlight, ME Blog, Music, Promo

New album caps off year-plus of success for East Coast Hip Hop superstar Chazo

HARLEM, NY – If you’ve been following the life and career of East Coast artist Chazo over the past year, you’ll know that he’s been riding wave after wave of success with his steady releases of music. What started as a single titled “Good Food, Good Women, Good Vibes” expanded to an EP and now is a full-fledged album that was released on Dec. 7. It features new songs while still offering the same vibe as before and showcasing the talent of this fast-rising, soon-to-be international artist.

The two new singles featured on the album are “Can’t Help it” and “Little Little 2.” Chazo said the first is a good vibe song that will be perfect for lovers celebrating Valentine’s Day next month. “Little Little 2,” however, is a perspective-shifting track that will challenge anyone who listens to it to consider a different point of view when it comes to the social and cultural upheaval happening in recent months.

“With all the protests going on around the country, this is a good song for people to listen to,” he said. “It’s less of an anthem and more of a motivational song to help you through tough stuff. In the face of all the protests, this is a song that will give people a different perspective and feel upbeat, while also talk about my life and things I’ve been through in ways that people can relate to.”

That upbeat vibe is something that Chazo said he’s intentionally trying to bring to the table with the new album. He said the holiday season influenced his shift in energy and has lent the album a more positive vibe than the previous EP. He also said it’s the culmination of a year-plus ride he’s been on with the ever-expanding project, and that he has big plans, business-wise, going into 2021 and beyond.

“I’ve been on social media a lot over the past year and people have been getting a lot of good peeks at my life,” he said. “In 2021 I want to keep it more in-house and not give away too much of what I have planned. Only the true insiders will get to see what I’m doing, and I’ve got big plans in mind.”

Kami Elrod – Bluebirds

Blog, ME Blog, Music, Promo

New single featuring haunting vocals of Kami Elrod offers hope in the face of emotional pain

COLUMBIA, MD – There are a lot of people in the world living in pain – sometimes emotional, sometimes physical, and sometimes both. That deep pain is the source of inspiration for Julie Elrod and her new single “Bluebirds.” Featuring the ethereal vocals of her daughter, Kami Elrod alongside the creative flow of notorious rapper Lost Angel of Havik, the song explores the depths of pain and offers a new perspective for those who deal with it on a daily basis.

I’ve had nine knee surgeries, a hip replacement, and two failed spine fusions in my life and I live in constant pain,” said Julie Elrod who also owns one of the biggest karate schools in Maryland. “The words in the song are based on how I feel a lot of the time. It’s a sad song because it’s about a guy who wants to be with his mom who has passed away, and he’s in emotional pain. People have pain they live with, and this is a song they can identify with. It hits straight to the core.”

The song bounces back-and-forth between Kami Elrod’s singing and Lost Angel of Havik’s rapping. The lyrics were written by Julie Elrod with some additional writing credits from her son, Wyatt Wayne, and Lost Angel of HavikThe original beat was produced by Rock It Productions but was re-invented by Elrod, who had violin, cello, and piano tracks added in

Julie Elrod said she’s always had a love for writing music, and though the Karate studio has been her primary business for the past 36 years, she’s always dabbled in writing music. When the studio was forced to shut down because of the lockdown associated with the global pandemic, she put most of her time and energy into writing as many songs as she could. “Bluebirds” is the first but will be followed by other songs that she plans to release in 2021.

“I want people to hit home and identify with my music,” she said. “I also want to showcase my daughter’s voice which is hauntingly beautiful. Kami’s voice is mesmerizing, and I love to listen to it over and over. But I also want people to relate to the words in the song and find meaning in it. I want them to know they’re not alone and that we recognize the pain and depression that so many people feel. A lot of people are in that same position. Just because people are smiling on the outside doesn’t mean you know what they’re going through on the inside.”

Compton R.E.G. – “No No”

Blog, Industry Spotlight, Music, Promo

Hip Hop legend-in-the-making prepares for debut single with feature from Snoop Dogg

COMPTON, CA – Compton R.E.G. is one of the best kept secrets of West Coast Hip Hop. Coming straight out of Compton with some of the biggest names in Rap, R.E.G. has been spitting some real hit for years. But a stint in prison took him off the map while others from his hometown made names for themselves – artists such as Kendrick Lamar, YG, N.W.A., and Compton AV.

Trying to make up for lost time, R.E.G. has dropped the new single “No No” produced by Rob Tand the follow up single is Feel On Your Booty FT Snoop Dogg. Both are ready-made international hits.

“It’s never a dull moment when you hear an R.E.G. verse,” he said. “It’s gonna stand the test of time. I want my music to be timeless. I don’t piggyback off anyone. I try to make my own genre, and my sound is so original that most of the time when someone hears me, they don’t think it’s me. I find myself having to spit a verse for them and then they’ll recognize it’s me. At the end of the day, I’m a working man and I just try to make my own thing. I might get inspired by certain music but I won’t try to make something that sounds like that song. I make something that’s original.”

The streets never have to hunt very far for the next scorching R.E.G. verse as he has been heard spitting alongside heavyweights that include Chaka Khan, Snoop Dogg, The Dogg Pound, Biggie, AkonKelis, Nate DoggNipsey HussleKokane, The EastsidazKam and Jayo Felony, to name a few. He has also penned some hot tunes for other artists in the business.

In addition to his new single, R.E.G. has also recently partnered with EKJ Ent which forms EKj Ent/Gorilla Hustle. Through that label, he has invested in “Feel On Your Booty” to enlist both hard-hitting producer Jelly Roll and the legendary Snoop Dogg, whose bars will be featured on the second verse. His extensive resume definitely has earned him a title as a Rap veteran in all definitions of the word, and his undeniable charisma makes him one of Rap’s most distinctive personalities. If you don’t know about him yet, now is the time to add him to your playlists because Compton R.E.G. will be a global phenomenon before the year is out.

EDaGod – Wave In Time

Blog, Industry Spotlight, ME Blog, Music, Promo

Da God aims to inspire with new album ‘A Wave In Time’

PHOENIX, AZ – Eric Chapel is on a mission to influence other people to be better versions of them. That’s his message in both life and art, and it comes to the forefront on his new album “A Wave In Time,” now available across all streaming platforms.

With 16 songs, Chapel – better known by his stage name E Da God – gives fans a little bit of everything as he weaves inspirational stories from his life into encouraging messages to others.

“Regardless of what I do, I try to send out the best information that I have without trying to hurt anybody,” he said of his album. “My uncle used to say that some people are just trying to get by and some people are just trying to get over. You’ve gotta maintain or obtain by any means necessary. Whatever you force upon the world, you gotta deal with that. I’m gonna see how I can do it by being more passive and peaceful and by influencing people to be better versions of themselves every day.”

E Da God said he dips into sounds very organically when it comes to songwriting, picking and choosing melodies or beats that “authentically and naturally work for me.” Whatever sounds good when it’s time to record something, that’s what he’ll flow with. He calls it his “open book” approach – an approach that he said brings the highest quality sound and style to the table.

“I think what sets me apart is the same thing that makes me different in life, and that’s that I’m just so different,” he said. “I’ve got to introduce that through the music. The way things go through my mind – the wave that comes with the beat is the way for me to relate with people. And through that, over time, I’ve learned how to play with sounds and different styles to express different moments in my life to help me share with other people and get them to see past how different I am. It’s a wave – sometimes you’ll get a little wave or a little vibe, and sometimes you’ll get a bigger wage. Some songs are like this and some songs are like that, and across the whole album you get the consumption of me creating a whole unique sound, which is a great representation of who I am.”

E Da God said now is the perfect time to bring his album to the world as it fits his life journey perfectly. As a rapper and songwriter, he’s just started making a name for himself in the industry, and this year, he took that career a step further by starting his own record label – Thorough By Nature. He said he’s looking forward to the adventure of being a business owner and exploring the behind-the-scenes side of the music industry while also promoting his music and sharing it with a global audience.

“It’s an ascending moment for me to grow,” he said. “I’ve been through enough and done enough and now that journey is coming out with song after song. This album captures this moment in my life, and it’s got a little bit of everything on there.”

Raainbandzup – Out My Body

Blog, ME Blog, Music, Promo

Raainbandzup uses raw emotion to power new songs filled with hope

HAYWARD, CA – From the opening notes of Raainbandzup’s music, you can tell that she’s had a rough life. The raw emotion in her voice paired with transparent lyrics that dive deep into her pain immediately evoke a wave of feeling from anyone who listens. And yet the upbeat nature of her instrumentals and the powerful energy that she brings make those heartfelt songs something that could be heard in any club around the world.

Her debut single, “Out My Body,” is a perfect example of that paradox of sound and style. The high energy dance song is born from Raain’s desire to escape from the pain of her life. It’s a club song that welcomes anyone who listens to join her in just having a good time and escaping from the hardships of life for a while.

“I grew up in an abusive home and have had a very hard life,” she said. “We had locks on the refrigerator and my mom was an alcoholic. I remember crazy things like when she threw me in hot water or when she poured ammonia all over me. I was always starving and dirty and I never really had a birthday or Christmas. I’ve never seen a baby picture of me ever in my life. None of my extended family ever acknowledged me, either. I’m in this universe alone – just me and my four kids – and only I get to decide who is in my path of life. I make all different types of music that comes from that. I do R&B or Dance or any type of music there is, and all of it shows that I walk my own path of life.”

Raain said she started doing music at age 11 as a way to escape the various abuses she was facing at the time. She said artists like Nikki Minaj, Beyonce and T.I. gave her inspiration and made her first start exploring various forms of artistic expression.

“It was how I carried all the abuse I had in my household away from me,” she said. “I would get away from the fighting and the sexual abuse and the black eyes and the broken arms and just let the music take me away from it all. I found out pretty quickly that I could hum something and come up with a whole song pretty easily. Once I figured that out, I’ve been doing it ever since.”

Along the way, Raain has also explored other forms of entertainment. She studied for a time at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco with the intention of becoming an actor. She learned through that experience that music was her true love, however, and she hasn’t looked back since.

Minus The Alien explores real love with latest hit single ‘Organic’

AKRON, OH – A jazzy new up-tempo Hip Hop song from music industry veteran Minus The Alien is making its way through the Midwest with a fury and is poised to become an international hit. “Organic,” produced by Dramatize Productions, is a song about finding real love in a world full of fake love. It features female artist La Butterfly, a Neo-Soul and Hip Hop artist out of Ohio who also happens to be Minus The Alien’s fiancé.

“I literally found her through music,” he said. “This song is based on a real story of me getting out of a toxic relationship and going on a journey looking for a soul mate, in a sense. I found my butterfly and we’re engaged now. We also have other music we’re collaborating on and working on together, but this single is our first. It’s ultimately about encouraging people not to give up on love, no matter what you’ve been through or if you’ve had a toxic relationship in your past, like me. I want to be a witness that love is always gonna be there.”

A video for the single, directed by Daymon and Minus The Alien, was also released on Dec. 31 and has been getting some plays on his YouTube channel. Featuring a cinematic style that tells a story of a relationship falling apart after the man catches the woman cheating, it’s a visual story that perfectly matches the tone of the song.

Minus The Alien is a familiar name for Hip Hop fans throughout the Midwest. Formerly known as A-Minus, he has gone through a rebranding stage over the past couple of years in an effort to take his music to all parts of the U.S. and eventually to an international audience. Known for being very socially conscious, he uses his platform to speak on social issues that oppress people. And at the end of the day, he said he wants his music to be seen as creative in its presentation of real issues, while also being digestible and motivational.

His other passion is the youth of the world. He has a strong passion for mentoring youth and community outreach. He’s the recipient of the 2018 Men of Champions Award presented by Mayor Dan Horrigan and the Joy Park Neighborhood Federation. He’s also a 2016 alumni of the Neighborhood Leadership Institute of Summit County, and the founder of a grassroots non-profit organization called Alien Arts Inc.

“I know how music affects kids,” he said. “They believe stuff word-for-word. I don’t want my music to ever misguide them and encourage them to get involved in violence and drugs, like a lot of other Hip Hop music does. I don’t stand for that. That’s not the Hip Hop culture I experienced or want to experience.”

His sound is, in fact, more indicative of the upbeat and fun vibes of the mid-90s Hip Hop. Fans who listen to “Organic” will immediately get that feeling from the song.

Moe Prada – Right Now

Blog, Industry Spotlight, ME Blog, Music, Promo

Moe Prada shows the world a new brand of high-class Hip Hop with new album “#Numbers”

LAS VEGAS, NV – If there’s one thing you can expect from Hip Hop artist Moe Prada, it’s that his music and fashion are high quality. Everyone who knows him personally knows this to be true, and the rest of the world is about to find out thanks to the release of his new album “#Numbers.”

Distributed globally across all streaming platforms on Dec. 14, the album features nine hit songs that display this fast-rising artist’s truly original sound and style. Self-dubbed as a freestyle artist, Moe Prada likes to walk into the studio with an idea or a topic in mind and then riff off the top of his head. What comes out is an organic flow of hit lyrics that are connecting with people all over the world.

Take “Right Now” for instance – the debut single from his project. Based on his current romantic relationship, the song explores the passionate desire he has for his woman. Set against a laid-back, chill vibe, the song perfectly captures the yearning of a lover in ways that anyone who has ever been in love will be able to relate with.

He follows that with singles “Demons In Me” and “Remix the Box.” The first is an aggressive track that talks about the experiences he’s had growing up and living on the streets – from gang violence to spirituals and all of the gritty things that come with that lifestyle. The latter is a remix of Roddy’s hit single, but done in a way that is sure to draw attention from fans all over the world.

“Music is a part of my life,” he said. “Without music there is not me, and I think people will see that on this album. I love music. It’s in my blood.”

Moe said he first got started with music when he was a kid, performing in choirs at a young age before exploring his natural ability to rap during his teenage years. His first single, “It Costs,” was his first recorded freestyle. Currently available for people to see on his YouTube channel, the single is a perfect example of the kind of natural sound he offers to the world.

“Nobody can copy my style,” he said. “I’m doing it off my dome. The way I rap, you can’t copy my flow. How I even start off rapping is way different than any others. At the end of the day, I want my music to be known for reaching out to the public. I don’t care when it comes to gang banging and mainstream rappers, I cater to everyone. People said I couldn’t do it, but I want to show that I can. My heart is out there in my music.”

OG Casey – How We Move

Blog, Industry Spotlight, ME Blog, Music, Promo

King of the Midwest OG Casey relaunches career with new single ‘How We Move’

CHICAGO, IL – When OG Casey started his journey as a musician 10 years ago, he didn’t think he’d end up where he is today.

Like many other artists in the world, 2020 has been a life-changing year for this young and fast-rising artist from the Midwest. Though he’s been making music for the better part of a decade –with multiple projects and singles to his name – it wasn’t until this year that he took a big step forward with his career. He’s marked that monumental leap with a rebranding that changed his previous stage name, Ex$ange, to OG Casey. It’s a move that signifies a more mature sound and style from this young artist which is showcased fully on his new single “How We Move.”

“I want to show people what I can come with and how versatile I am,” he said. “Everybody wants to comment on things they don’t know, and this song is about how only the people who are in it with you know how you move and how to act in certain situations. This is how we do our thing.”

Featuring female artist Onna Deshae, the song is a display of OG Casey’s ability to blend and mix different types of styles and ideas into one seamless song. In many ways, his thinking is on a whole other level from other artists in the game today – to the point that some might call him a musical genius.

“That started when I was young,” he said. “I’ve always considered myself destined to be an entertainer. I think my music is timeless. It’s so different from anything else that I really believe that 20 or 30 years from now it will still be played and be as relevant as if it dropped yesterday. And at the end of the day, I hope people hear my music and know that they can be themselves and not conform to what everybody else is doing and still be successful. I’m a backpack rapper, but I rap for people who are in the streets and for those who have never seen the streets. I’m a good combination of both sides.”

OG Casey will further put this signature style on display with his forthcoming album “Life of a Gemini.” As is true of those with the Gemini astrological sign, his new album will be a mixture of light and dark – hard core and gritty sounds mixed with lyrical and great vibes. He said it’s a project that will take listeners on an emotional journey in a way that will make them want to play it over and over again.

Mulatto Dinero – Aunt Deanna

Blog, Industry Spotlight, ME Blog, Music, Promo

High class and style take center stage across multiple entertainment offers for fast-rising artist MulattoDinero

BALTIMORE CITY, MD – Everything in Justin J. Jefferson is a mixture of multiple things. From his many business endeavors to his heritage, and even down to the fusion of multiple sounds in his music, the combination of multiple inspirations is the thing that drives him every day. It’s the reason he has adopted the stage name MulattoDinero – a nod to the way he generates money through a variety of means. It’s also the reason why he’s always at work, releasing new products and music to the world to showcase the art that can inspire others.

In 2021, he said he has a goal to release a new song every day on his social media accounts – all of them produced and edited by him before being launched. He wants his music to serve as a platform for his other entertainment options so that he can become one of the world’s biggest influencers. And when people hear his music, they’ll know immediately that he has a one-of-a-kind sound that cannot be denied.

“My sound and how I flow and how I spit are what set me apart from anyone else,” he said. “That and my delivery and my character. And the number one thing that’s different is that my videos come with raw footage to match up with what I face sometimes. I have footage from when I was homeless, and from the time around when my mom got murdered, and good times with her before she got murdered. I make professional videos but in a raw way that people can look at and see the things I’ve been through and hopefully relate to them in some way.”

MulattoDinero has been into music since he was 9 years old but prior to that, he was arrested at age 8. Since then he said his life has been a recycle habit, and he falls victim to the system. In October of this year, he was in his car in the middle of a shootout. The car got hit nine times with him in it and he didn’t get hit once. That’s just one of many examples throughout his life of times when his pursuit of music could have been derailed, but every time he walks away from those experiences, he knows he’s on this earth for a reason and he wants the world to hear his story.

At age 12, he built his own home studio that he used all throughout his teenage years. Now in his early 20s, this fast-rising entertainment influencer has upped his game with new equipment and honed skills that he said will take him onto the international stage in no time.

“I want to do all kinds of entertainment and create myself in a variety of ways,” he said. “I want young people to look up to me because I’m trying to show people that I’m up and I’m about to make it. Ultimately, I just want to be known for being one of the best entertainers the world has seen in a long time. I’m just different and ready for people to see it for themselves.”

Be on the lookout for MulattoDinero’s new project “Glory2God”.
