West Philly native lights up East Coast with new club song
‘Drinking Too Much’
NEW BRITAIN, CT – Young Bannz is a hot new artist from the East Coast whose unique sound and style is lighting up the hip-hop world. His new single, “Drinking Too Much,” is a club banger with the kind of party vibe that lights up a run and demands to be played over and over again.
Originally from West Philadelphia, Young Bannz has developed a passion for music that was born from a live filled with struggle and adversity. Always dreaming of ways to make money, Young Bannz earned his stage name from his flashy style and lyrics that elevate a person’s thinking to a higher level. As a kid growing up in the inner city, both of Bannz’s parents passed away at an early age, so that he was forced to live with his grandmother. By the age of 17, he realized he had a talent for emcee-ing, and he soon began exercising his lyrical ability and battling local rappers.
“He first got his name from that,” said manager Don Diz. “His voice and delivery is very unique, and he’s very versatility with his music. He’s more of a street guy and putting together a recording is a little outside the box for him, but his sound and delivery is just too good to ignore. When people listen to him they keep listening and don’t shut him off.”
Over the years, Bannz’s love for hip-hop has grown. But living on the streets isn’t always the best way to get ahead in life, and he soon found himself having multiple run-ins with the law. As a way of escaping, Young Bannz moved to Connecticut, where he has established himself as an artist and professional. When he met Don Diz, he decided to sign with Himmy Entertainment and has been pursuing a professional career ever since.
As a result of that shift in his life and career, Young Bannz has been able to work with many artists and producers – showcasing his raw Philly flow, catchy swag and a sound that captivates listeners. His collaborations with artists such as Snacks Giggaty and ANoyd have helped gain even greater attention for his single, and he’s eager to ride that moment into a mixtape that he hopes to launch early this summer called “Can’t Stop My Grind.” Following that, Young Bannz plans to drop his first full-length album at the end of the summer, called “Came From Nothing.”
“It’s an album that will allow listeners to grow with him and understand some of the struggles he’s seen as he’s come up as a person and as an artist,” Don Diz said. “At the end of the day he just wants people to look at him as someone who’s just like them. He has an opportunity to have a better life because of his music, and he’s embracing that with humility. He’s a cool, laid-back type of dude who’s on his way to the top and willing to work for it, and you can hear that through his music.”To listen to Young Bannz’s music, or to follow him on social media, please visit:
