Foundry13 – Devil’s Lovenotes

England’s Foundry13 introduces new sound of Rock to the world with latest single ‘Devil’s Lovenotes

LONDON, UK – The British Invasion is primed for a return thanks to the head-turning sound of two young brothers who have formed the band Foundry13. Much like the cultural phenomenon of the mid 1960s that brought to America the legends of such bands as The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Who, The Kinks and The Animals, among others – Foundry13 is the kind of band that can start a whole new wave of British-born musical influence.

Over the past few years, these brothers have slowly been building a solid reputation for great music underneath a novel new sound that blends dark Pop undertones with Trap beats mixed with a distinct Rock vibe. Reminiscent of bands like Juice World or Twenty One Pilots, with touches of influence from older bands like The Clash or The Smiths, Foundry13 brings to light an impressive vibe that fans all over the world are beginning to clamor for. And though the global pandemic has been a hardship on their festival performances and plans for a tour this summer, it has also given the brothers an opportunity to dive head-first into creating new music.

Their latest release is a single called “Devil’s Lovenotes.” Currently available across all streaming platforms, this upbeat Indie Rock song uses upbeat vibes to tell the story of a guy who wants to get back with his girlfriend, who has left him to be with someone else. The guy in the story casts the competition as the devil, and he tries to convince the girl that he can treat her better than the devil can.  This song exposes the hard and struggling times the speaker has faced with their love interest in the past, and how they believe that the “Devil” is only using their love to punish the speaker. The song also brings more light to depression and mental health issues and how people can deal with them and let go of their worries as a whole.

“We’re constantly evolving our sound while retaining a distinct style by mixing and matching elements from Indie Pop,” said Joshua, the younger of the brothers and the lead singer. “We’re trying to produce a generation-defining sound.

The band has already garnered ample industry attention through their previously released singles with many of those tracks often cruising the BBC Introducing airwaves. Having already played a number of high profile shows and venues – such as the O2 Islington, the band was also set  to play large venues such as” the Great Escape Music Festival, and the Thames Music Festival – the band is currently enjoying an extensive growth in fanbase. That’s set to explode even more as a wider international audience begins to discover their soft, chilled vocals and catchy melodies. That quality musicianship combined with their “flower power emo” style, as James calls it, is sure to set them on the international stage in big ways.

“We want to share our music with the world and let people understand what they’re going through doesn’t have to be alone,” James said. “We want to address topics that people sometimes find uncomfortable – like anxiety or mental illness or depression – and showing them that there is always a light at the end of the tunnel. That’s what our music is ultimately about: helping people get through their lives in a safe and better way.”

MyFolk – Ball Don’t Lie

South Georgia Hip Hop group MyFolk drops hot new track ‘Ball Don’t Lie’

SOUTH GEORGIA – Almost every basketball player who has ever played the sport knows that if you do something inappropriate on the court, Karma dictates that you’re not likely to make very many shots. The “Ball Don’t Lie,” as the saying goes, is both the sentiment and the title of a new single from Southern Georgia Hip Hop trio MyFolk.

Currently available across all streaming platforms, “Ball Don’t Lie” is a mid-tempo swaggy song that uses basketball metaphors to illustrate the life experiences that sometimes lead to difficult situations. It’s a song about bad choices and the consequences that come thereafter but done in such a way that it perfectly showcases the unique sound and style of this fast-rising group from the South.

MyFolk is a tight-knit trio made up of cousins Marc Ross and Kleif Bussey, who go by the stage names Candyman and KalicoThe third member of the group is Kalico’s best friend Demetrius AKA FieldBoi. The group has been refining its sound and expanding its reach for more than a decade, releasing three mixtapes and taking over the underground scene. Their releases of “The Resume,” “2 For Da Money” and “NFL (No Fat Lady)” have reached national acclaim thanks to their groundbreaking hard-hitting rhymes, heavy beats and dynamic shifting flow.

“Our lyrics are what really sets us apart,” Kalico said. “Everybody else in Hip Hop seems to be picking up the same vibe and lingo, but we got our own lingo. We always have. And it keeps evolving. That’s what we want our music to be known for, that originality. We got multiple sounds and avenues. We never follow one sound and we can write and make music about any subject or any genre. We just try to be limitless. If you put on a beat, we can make anything.”

That ability to make such high-quality music has brought them to the attention of music insiders, and in recent years, the group has been able to perform at such high-profile clubs as Throwbacks and Club Crucial in Atlanta, Club Rozay, Fountain Inn, and The Martin Twin Theatre in Douglas, Georgia, just to name a few.

Now with the release of “Ball Don’t Lie,” the group is excited to show their fanbase a visceral and impressive illustration of their new sound. Kalico said it’s a song that should be essential for every Hip Hop fan.

“When you’re in the South, people are always using the term ‘MyFolk’ to refer to their group of people,” Kalico said. “When we make music, we always say ‘Hit ‘em in the mouth, Folk!’ because we know our music is gonna make an impact. That’s what this song will do. People are gonna really dig it.”

In addition to “Ball Don’t Lie,” MyFolk is preparing to drop a six-song EP called “200 Proof” later this year.

Key$oul Releases A New Single “Hop Out The Benz” on ALL Digital Streaming Platforms!

Keiontae Alexander better known as Key$oul is a 25 year hip-hop artist out of Benton Harbor Michigan. Honesty is the name of the game for Key$oul, no smoke and mirrors, $oul wants you to see the pain, the struggle and ultimately the reward that comes from grinding in life. Influenced by the hip-hop and R&B since his inception, it’s like destiny wanted $oul to begin creating his own art. In 2016, with the Internet in full swing and artists, both mainstream and independent seeing success, $oul wanted to throw his hat in the ring. However unlike some who jump into industry, Key$oul was more than ready and in fact excited about the work ahead.

Our Michigan hero spent the following years in the background, working, learning, grinding in an attempt to make it out. $oul says “I constantly focused on improving. I was at the studio, rain, sleet, or snow.” The hard work would pay off as Key$oul has two singles well over 22K plays with his “Wow Freestyle” closing in on 50K plays and this is just on Spotify alone. The hard work behind the scenes is also what led to “Vibe With Me” a collaboration $oul did with Florida R&B singer Della Cruse. Key$oul wants listeners to walk away motivated and with the confidence that they can “accomplish anything” whether you’re starting from the bottom or starting over $oul believes you can make it to the top.

Lendpha – Fire

Industry Spotlight, ME Blog, Music, Promo, Videos

Haitian-born artist inspires others to overcome challenges
in pursuit of dreams with forthcoming album ‘Fever Dreams’

MIAMI, FL – Marc Sans Souci – better known by his stage name Lendpha – is a firm believer in the idea that anyone can follow their dreams and make it. His own personal journey of humble beginnings in Haiti to fast-rising artist in Miami is a perfect example of how hard work pays off in the end. And his debut album “Fever Dreams,” which is set to be released June 30, is a diverse musical examination of that journey.

The 10-song project features a variety of different sounds and vibes, all underneath the idea of chasing success and the challenges that come along the way. The title is derived from the notion of having good dreams while sleeping, though sweating through the night – a metaphor that mirrors the hard work that so often accompanies ambition. Lendpha is no stranger to hard work and challenges along the path to success.

“Growing up in Miami, I eventually met a guy named Martin Luciano who encouraged me to get into music,” Lendpha said. “I moved to New York and was starting to make a name for myself. But in 2016, I had a major breakdown in life. My daughter was being born and her mother had cheated on me while she was pregnant. It broke my heart and destroyed me, and it was hard for me to find myself again. I also found myself being a single father raising a daughter. Through all of that, I realized I needed to channel my inner self, and for me, the best way to do that was through music. I started writing and with Luciano’s help, I’ve been rocking ever since. I’ve put some singles out here and there, and a lot of people have been vibing then and liking them. This project is the culmination of the body of work I’ve been developing over the past year, and I think it will really show people not only my journey and what I’m capable of as an artist, but also inspire them to push through their own challenges as they chase their dreams.”

Lendpha said his sound and style are definitely unique not only because of his original content but also because of his sound – which takes inspiration from his Caribbean roots while also nodding to some of the great Hip Hop artists of the past.

“I want my music to be known for positive energy and good vibes,” he said. “My music represents anyone who can follow their dreams and make it. It’s about self-belief. A lot of people are going through stuff and don’t know how to channel that energy from the inside. My music is here to help them believe in themselves. If they can hear my songs and see me doing it, then it will help them believe that they can get it done as well.”

The initial single from Lendpha’s forthcoming album is called “Fire” and is also coming out on June 30th. The upbeat, energy-filled song has a predominant Afro-beat, with a vibe that is reminiscent of French Montana’s “Unforgettable.” Lendpha said it’s a track that women will be especially attracted to.

Ooday – Pussy Demon

Industry Spotlight, ME Blog, Music, Promo, Videos

Multitalented Ooday offers mixtape for multiple audiences with ‘It Factor’

NEWBURGH, NY – Legacy … so it begins.

Those are the first words on the new mixtape from New York artist Ooday, but they’re also the prophetic words for a young new artist whose unique sound and style are destined for greatness.

Having survived the streets of Newburgh, New York – often the victim and the suspect of violence – Ooday not only found himself in prison for more than three years but also found a love for telling stories through music. Each song he creates takes you through a different journey, all of which is encapsulated on his mixtape “It Factor.”

“What I was aiming for with this first tape is to show my versatility and that I can rap lyrically,” he said. “I can make songs kids want to listen to with rhythm and bounce to dance to. And I can make songs for the females to listen to and go to the clubs. This is a project that shows that I can do all these things musically. I put lyrics into catchy rhythms, and I can deliver both good rhythms and good content. That’s more than most other artists out there today.”

“Pussy Demon is one of the singles on the mixtape It’s a bouncy song perfectly suited for the clubs with lyrics that bounce back-and-forth between a man and a woman talking about a sexual encounter. A music video for this single is coming soon.

Other singles also featured on the mixtape are “That’s Crazy” – a “real smooth gangster kind of song” and “Explosion” – an R&B track made especially for the ladies.

Ooday said after he returned home from prison, music was something he focused on as a way to turn his life around. The more he put out singles and the more he built a fanbase, the more the buzz grew about his sound and style. Today, he’s developed a signature style that accommodates a wide range of audiences.

“I want my music to be known for music lasts,” Ooday said. “It’s not temporary. I want to make music that people listen to repetitively. When they come back to it, they still get that feeling they got when they first heard it. I want to make music that is timeless and sticks around. That’s why my name is Ooday. When people hear my music, they’re gonna say, ‘Oooh! There he is!’”

All of Ooday’s music is released under the independent label No Equal Management, which also features a handful of other artists and producers from the Newburgh area. He said there is a lot of music soon to be dropped from that crew.

Lil Snook – Letters From The Midwest

Lil Snook shares ‘Letters From The Midwest’ with hot new single

SHAWNEE, OK – Tyler “Lil Snook” Johnson is a 22-year-old rapper from the Midwest whose unique blend of Hip Hop and Pop is the kind of sound that fans are going to want to start paying attention to.

His newest single, “Letters From The Midwest,” is currently available across all streaming platforms and is already turning heads in its first two weeks of release. Exploring themes of lost love and rebuilding, the song is a great display of Lil Snook’s upbeat Hip Hop style.

“It’s about trying to move on from the past and looking at the letters me and my ex used to write to each other,” he said. “It’s more upbeat and shows how I tend to write about a little bit of everything from my life. I write about anything I’ve been through or seen or am currently going through, or even things others are going through. Sometimes, like with this song, I draw from past relationships. There are just a lot of different things that inspire me. I also sing and rap and produce my own music – I do everything by myself from my home in my own studio.”

Born and raised in Shawnee, Oklahoma, Lil Snook first became interested in creating music when he discovered Lil Wayne when he was 10 years old. That Hip Hop legend’s passion behind the lyrics was what caught Lil Snook’s attention.

“You could tell he was in love with what he was doing and he was driven to do something to change people’s lives by rapping and making music to tell about their lives,” he said. “I caught that at a young age.”

By 12, Lil Snook was writing his own stuff and experimenting with different sounds and styles. He’d perform for his family from time to time, and his aunt gave him the nickname Lil Snook after hearing him rap.

“She thought my sound was old-school,” he said. “We’re from the South and she thought it sounded right from where we’re at. She said that it was a sound that was gonna be so different that it was gonna sneak in and be real popular. She started calling me Lil Snook and it just stuck.”

Today, Lil Snook said he hopes to create music that will be long lasting legacy of others who have come before him. With two more albums set to drop in the next month as well as more singles that he’s preparing to release, he said he has an archive of music to share with the world.

“I put out music a lot,” he said. “At least once every other week I’m putting something out. I’m trying to blow up real fast. I want my music to be popular and a lot of people to relate to it. I want to create something people like, but if they don’t like it – oh well, it’s still my music and I’m still gonna put it out there and a lot of people will still relate to it. I get a lot of passion in music and through music… it drives me to live every day and to write. And I want to share that with the world.”

TPTSpotlight – Stepped On

Industry Spotlight, ME Blog, Music, Promo

Spotlight shines on Lake City, SC with new mixtape ‘Trailer Park Thug’

LAKE CITY, SC – There’s a spotlight about to be shined on the small East Coast city of Lake City, South Carolina – on a trailer park, in fact. The spotlight will shine bright on new Hip Hop artist Eric Robinson whose slick YouTube music videos have already been gaining attention worldwide and whose new music is set to become the talk of the industry in upcoming weeks.

Adopting the stage name TPTSpotlight (for Trailer Park Thug), this young rapper is set to drop a new mixtape called “Trailer Park Thug.” The debut single from that project, “Stepped On” is already available across all streaming platforms and has started gathering plays on YouTube for its video. Featuring TPTSpotlight’s brother Sdaii Slimey, the song is one of those hype songs that’s perfect for the summer.

“It gets you turnt up,” TPTSpotlight said. “Like some sneakers, you can get stepped on – that’s basically what it’s about. I think it shows off the authenticity of my flow. I don’t sound like anyone else. I’m still rapping on most of it, and this song is really gonna pop.”

TPTSpotlight said he wants to honor his hometown and the neighborhood where he grew up for more reasons than just the loyalty that comes from that close-knit community. The story behind how he and his brother reunited after more than a decade apart plays a part in his music. When their father was incarcerated for 10 years, the two of them were separated with Sdaii heading to Virginia and Spotlight going to live with his mother in Florida for a time. Sdaii’s mother was shot in the head down the street from their house and he ended up in the foster care system. When their father was released from prison, Spotlight found out from him that his brother was in Virginia, and the two reconnected.

“It’s one of those small-town secrets, you know.” Spotlight said. “We’re from a small town – you can literally walk to anywhere from where we live. If we make it, it’ll be major. That’s why I wanted to add TPT to my name so that we can show the world what it’s like to be a trailer park thug. We’re looked at like underdogs, like we’re not gonna go anyplace. But we’re gonna show the world that’s not true.”

The entire mixtape will showcase Spotlight’s hood – with stories and experiences from a life growing up in a trailer park. It will also continue the high-energy vibes of “Stepped On” with music that Spotlight promises will “make you snappin.”

“When people hear my music, they’re gonna say, ‘That boy goes crazy on the beat!’” he said. “I want people to get up out of their seats when they hear my music. You can’t sit down when you listen to my music. You have to stand up, put a light on and do something when my music is on.”

RoyaltyPm – Spend It All

RoyaltyPm drops hot new EP Summer is Over’

CHARLOTTE, NC – Bryson Adams – better known by his stage name RoyaltyPm – has just dropped a hot new EP that sets the right kind of vibe to get fans all over the world through the last days of summer.

Appropriately titled “Summer is Over,” this nine-track EP pairs melodic sounds with RoyaltyPm’s smooth voice for a radio-ready vibe that is sure to offer plenty of ear candy for listeners from a wide range of places. That’s because RoyaltyPms music explores a wide range of experiences from his life that are stories that connect with other people.

“A lot of stuff I speak on includes struggles and issues with my everyday life,” he said. “The vibe I’m going for with most of the music I make is to paint a vivid picture with my lyrics while still remaining sonically pleasing. I just want to be transparent and honest as possible while giving people something they can gravitate to and listen to in any setting.”

The debut single from the EP is a song called “Spend It All.” RoyaltyPm released the song earlier this year and has gotten rave reviews. The song explores the high-end trends of the world and the influence designers have on culture and behaviors. The music video for the song which was recently released on his YouTube channel, brings this idea to the forefront by having RoyaltyPm perform next to a Ferrari that’s parked in front of a heavily graffitied wall in Houston, Texas.

“It’s really vibrant, which is what the song is supposed to be,” RoyaltyPm said. “Basically, I’m saying I’m into designer things and all the nicer things – like nice cars and clothes. It’s up-tempo and upbeat because we’re trying to push that high-end vibe, and people have been really gravitating to that sound.”

RoyaltyPm describes his signature sound as a combination of three different styles. There’s his street sound and stories, then there’s his unique vocal abilities that takes listeners on a journey from low octaves to high, and then there’s his ability to rap. He takes the influences of his home in Charlotte, North Carolina as well as the influences from nearby Atlanta, and then adds his own signature sound to the mix for a truly one-of-a-kind offering of new music.

“There are people who rap but don’t sing good, or people who sing good but don’t rap good, or who rap good and sing good but don’t have anything real to say,” RoyaltyPm said. “I do all three. I’m eager for people to hear my music because they’ll get to a point where they know what to expect from me. My music is about creating a certain vibe. When you go somewhere – a party or whatever – I want to be the first guy you put on because I’m gonna set the tone. I want people to recall me without me having to put it in their faces… to remember my sound and to remember that I’m somebody they can relate to.”

Joshua Michael – Devour You in Flames

Industry Spotlight, ME Blog, Music, Promo, Videos

Joshua Michael inspires people struggling with pain by highlighting the joys of life in new single ‘House of Pain’

SAGINAW, MI – Joy and pain are two things that Joshua Michael has experienced in spades and as such, he’s uniquely equipped to explore the nuances of those dueling feelings through his unique brand of music.

Overcoming Crohn’s disease has been a major part of Joshua’s journey, and he’s turned to things like boxing and physical fitness to help overcome that overwhelming pain. Through those things, he’s found job that he now wants to pass along to others with his latest single “House of Pain.”

“It’s a song that introduces everything about me,” Joshua said. “My sound and the way I rap and my style – just everything. It’s about finding beauty within the beast as I invite everyone into my world (inner house). That was me, and I’m inviting people in who can relate to my music – come in to the house of pain where we can talk about life and ups and downs and the deeper roots that help grow the highest branches.”

Joshua said he knows his music stands out from a crowded music industry because of the things he talks about with his songs. There aren’t many people in the industry exploring themes from his point of view especially in the way he does – from an inner exploration of the self.

“I just represent self love,” he said. “When people hear my music I want them to know it always has a message and substance. It’s not something I’m just saying just for the sake of saying it. I’m really sending out messages that can really help people or soothe their pain. I want to stand for the people.”

In addition to “House of Pain,” Joshua has also released “Devour You in Flames” which is another single about pain. He describes it as a song that encourages others to let go and let themselves heal from past wrongs. Like most of his music it’s a laid-back vibe that creates the perfect kind of atmosphere for introspection.

“I’m not really an upbeat type of guy, so all my music is pretty chill and laid back,” he said. “This song has a suburban bassline to it and I sing a bit at the beginning before I rap and then come back to singing at the end.”

Joshua said he plans to release new songs every two or three days for as long as he can. He’s created three mixtapes already – “House of Pain,” “Forbidden One” and most recently, “Joshua Michael.” All of his music is currently available across all streaming platforms.
