Lil Kev – In My Bag

ME Blog, Music, Promo

Lil Kev leaves mark on hip-hop industry at only age 15

ALTOONA, IOWA – For as long as he can remember, Kevin Kennedy has wanted to make music and be a professional artist. As he’s grown up in the Midwest town of Altoona, Iowa, he’s often found himself visiting his uncle’s studio – watching closely as other artists record their music and gaining insider knowledge in how the industry works. With every new artist and song recorded in his uncle’s studio, Kevin would dream a little more.

At only age 15, Lil Kev is done waiting for his “some day” to get there. He’s ready to launch his career and show the world that he has lyrics and beats that are ready for the mainstream now. The release of his two new singles is just the beginning, he said. The first is a song called “In My Bag,” which he describes as a challenge to others to ignore the haters and keep pushing through to attain the dreams you want. It’s a more mellow song with a vibe that will be motivational to anyone who listens to it, he said.

The second song is “Lavish Life,” and he feels confident it’s the song that will put him on the map. It’s an upbeat song that shows off his work ethic and the dedication he brings to the craft.

“This is the kind of song that shows how hard I work and hopefully someday a label will recognize me,” he said. “Until that happens, I need to keep going hard. I have a unique sound. My shit is different. Everyone else tries to copy others, but I’m writing my lyrics different than what you hear anywhere else. It’s about my life and showing the world how I live. And I want to be known for being inspirational. If someone has put you down, don’t listen to them. Keep going up.”

Lil Kev’s big goal is to be the first hip-hop artist to come out of Iowa and make it big. His favorite artist today is NBA Young Boy, and he said he’s studied other big artists – especially Chief Keef, Lil Baby and Quando Rondo – to learn what they’ve done to be successful. He’s working with other producers, as well as his uncle, to refine his sound and find beats that will catch fans off-guard while giving them something catchy to listen to. And he writes all of his own lyrics – something he’s proud of for only being 15 years old.

“I’m just looking to make my dreams come true because I know I’m talented,” he said.

Sinario – Third Person | @Litsensation

ME Blog, Music, Videos

Vague origins of new artist Sinario add to mystique and
lend credence to new single

SAN DIEGO, CA – Ask Sinario where he’s from and he’ll be quick to answer that he’s from the
planet Mercury. As he watches you scratch your head and try to make sense of this, he’ll then
share some of his music with you and show you just how out-of- this world his sound and style
is. It’s a sound and style that’s turning heads all along the West Coast and which he hopes to
ride to global fame in the coming months and years and he expands his music career.

He had a modest success a few years back as a YouTuber. And to this day he has people
recognize him from that YouTube channel. At the time he was playing videos games and sharing
those games online, but he eventually closed the channel and turned his attention to music.
Since that time he’s been perfecting a unique sound and style that he knows will grab the
attention of a wide range of fans.

“My voice and flow has different things than what people are doing out there,” he said. “It’s a
mixture of both hip-hop and R&B. I wasn’t very stable when I was young, so I kept moving in
and out of different states. I experienced a lot of things before I got where I am today, and my
music reflects a lot of that.”

Sinario said he first fell in love with hip-hop at age 15 when he began listening to Travis Scott,
Migos, Young Thug and Future, among others. There are hints of those artists’ sound in his own
music. As a teenager, he began learning multiple instruments. It was about that time that Drake
became popular, and his success inspired Sinario to venture out in similar ways.

“I thought to myself, ‘I can do that. I can do the same thing. I can be like him,’” Sinario said.
“Now, when people say my name, I hope they remember some specific details about me. I
hope they think about my vibey kind of songs and my unique flow and that I’m always trying to
influence people and motivate people. I like motivating people. Self-doubt is something I go
through every day, but I know that if I stay consistent then I can accomplish anything and that’s
something I want to share with others.”

His new song, “Third Person,” is a song that serves as a perfect example of that common theme
through his music. The single was released Feb. 3 and can be found on all digital distribution
sites. It’s one of six songs that he’s made over the past year.

Kiya Hotpeppa – Shoes On The Chevy ft B. Unique | @hotpeppa205

ME Blog, Music, Videos

Kiyahotpeppa aims to put Alabama on the map with new hip-hop
single ‘Shoes on the Chevy’

BIRMINGHAM, AL – There are stars and celebrities from nearly every state and major city in the
U.S. Very few of them have come from Birmingham, Alabama. In fact, the number of musicians
to have come out of the city can be counted on one hand – and none of them are known for
their hip-hop roots.

Kiyahotpeppa is on a mission to become Birmingham’s first hip-hop star. His new single, “Shoes
on the Chevy,” is his first step down that road. Already the song is getting some radio play in
the South, and the summer vibe with good feelings is gaining more and more traction with fans
as the feel-good track of the year.

“It’s for playing at car shows and barbecues and stuff like that,” Kiyahotpeppa said. “That’s how
we do summers down south in Alabama. Everybody down here loves old cars, and putting
shoes on the Chevy is like putting rims on a car. I hope this is one of those songs that open the
door for the rest of the artists that are up-and- coming from around here. Where I’m from,
nobody is famous. We’re one of the last states to get someone famous. And I feel like if one
person can make it, then it’ll become like Hollywood because we’ll start drawing attention to all
of the talent here.”

Kiyahotpeppa hopes to be that one person who starts the ball of success rolling for his city. He’s
been in the music industry for more than 10 years, and the sound he has developed is definitely
unique. A blend of a thick southern drawl and witty wordplay combined with hard-hitting beats
makes him someone that sounds like no one else. Adding a new flavor to the hip-hop culture,
this gangster rapper serenades the audience with lyrics that are meaningful and relatable.

“It’s true that the world is in a dire need of inspiration,” he said. “This isn’t something you can
achieve by simply listening to galas of another utopian galaxy. I guarantee authenticity and
realism in my creative art. And you’ll hear my thoughts and feelings in ways that will connect
with thousands of listeners out there. I’ll show you how I’ve squeezed out lemonade from the
sour lemons that have been thrown at me.”

And Kiyahotpeppa has definitely had his share of challenges thrown his way. For instance, in
2000 he was at a gas station when a drive by shooting occurred. Stray bullets ended up hitting
him in the head. After that experience he started fully diving into music. And since then he’s
been steadily building up a fan-base that is hooked on his authentic and unique music. He’s
won numerous trophies for Best Song and Hottest Indie Artist of the Year, and he’s
collaborated with well-known artists such as Scarface, Shawty Lo, Pator Troy, Bun B, Young
Scooter, Dirty Boyz, Eightball and MJ, and many others.

Amira – Mathematics | @AmirasMuzic

Blog, ME Blog, Music, Promo

Hot new artist Amira brings sound, style reminiscent of the late Aaliyah

BALTIMORE, MD – All of her life, Amira has looked up to some of music’s most noteworthy
divas. To this day, she’s quick to point to artists such as Beyoncé, Whitney Houston and Monica,
as well as some rising divas such as Ariana Grande and Tori Kelly. In fact, it’s those fast-rising
female artists that she hopes to join one day as one of the world’s premier female musicians. As
an up-and- coming independent artist in search of her first big deal, she is well on her way.

Her most recent single, “Mathematics,” is the next step on her way to achieving that dream.
The pop-infused, mid-tempo song features lyrics that deal with a relationship breakup. It
follows Amira on a journey that starts with wanting her lover to understand how much she
loves him, to saying that it isn’t for her, to eventually backing out of the relationship.

“The music video follows the story from the song,” she said. “I start off venting to a friend
because I think my boyfriend is cheating on me. I’m hurt and I don’t know what to do about it.
As the video progresses, you see me kind of begging him to see me and that I want to be there
for him. I’m genuine in my feelings, but as the video progresses I can see that this is a
relationship that is not for me. At the end I walk away from camera with my hands in the air
because I’m done.”

Fans who watch the video will immediately be struck by the similarity Amira shares with the
late Aaliyah. Her sound and style are also reminiscent of the late pop icon, with a young, sweet
and innocent look that combines with powerhouse vocals and a supreme confidence that
makes it nearly impossible not to pay attention to what she has to say.

“I just want to be somebody who is relatable,” she said. “A lot of celebrities are well known, but
not relatable. Most everyday girls can’t relate to the lifestyle they’re going through. I want to
change that, if I can. I want to be the artist that some girl in high school could hear and
immediately get what I’m saying. I’m not just somebody on TV – I’m more than that. Even the
celebrities or singers that I look up to, I can’t say that I relate to what they’re doing or what
they’re going through. Their lives seem so different from mine. I want to be more relatable and
fill that space.”

“Mathematics” is the first single off an EP that Amira said she hopes to drop later this year. In

Truez – I’m On (Prod.by 808Jumpin) | @Trueznation

ME Blog, Music, Promo

Truez offers hot new album with ‘New T.R.A.P.P. City’

AUGUSTA, GA – It’s virtually impossible to hate on anything Truez creates. That’s because he’s an
extremely likeable human being. When he was young, everybody considered him the class
clown. He had a handheld tape recorder that his brother brought home from college, and he
would take it with him everywhere and record himself doing impersonations of teachers and
other people. When he’d bring it to school to let other people hear it, the response he got was
a drug that he hasn’t set aside in the years since. In fact, he’s been chasing that high he gets
from entertaining an audience almost every day of his life since.

Today he’s become one of the hottest up-and- coming artists in the South. His new album, “New
T.R.A.P.P. City,” is a testament to the type of music that he creates and the journey that he’s
taken thus far in his career. T.R.A.P.P. stands for Trying To Run Away from Problems and Pain –
a theme that he said not only permeates every song on the album, but also is a bit of a
statement of his life currently.

“A lot of the songs are about how hard it is to be a black male in American and the South while
also trying to feed that wave of music that brings content while still using those beats that are
knocking for radio play,” he said. “The flow of it all is that I’m rapping over a few beats that
have hard bass and hard 808s. On the surface you might think it’s just another trap album, but
if you’re a lyrical person or you love content, you’ll see that it’s feeding into that kind of vibe. It
has a certain flow to it and it has a lot of metaphors – in many cases they could have three or
four meanings in one line. I also have the ability to rap fast and speed up. I tell stories. I
harmonize. I’m a great arranger. I’m a beast of an artist.”

Truez has been into music for 15 years and on the scene for the last five years, first as an emcee
and then eventually as a producer and recording artist. In 2013, after working with Julian Bell
and David Tudor, he was finally able to realize his dream and put together his first major solo
project titled “1991: American Rebel Tales.” From there he moved throughout New York City
where he partnered with legendary DJ Kay Slay to release “Damn My Lifetime” and
“True3nough.” Riding the success from those projects, Truez decided to create his own entity as
a collective label group with then business partner Aaron Grossman. Together they formed
Students of the Game, and Truez eventually released the controversial project “Raw &
Underprivileged” under that label.

His new album is the latest offering from this hot new artist. The first single, “I’m On,” will be
already available for fans late January 2018 to check out through various digital distribution
sites, and a music video will be available on his YouTube channel in February 2018. He said he
has plans to release even more music later in the year. He recorded as many as 115 songs in
2015 alone and currently under 360 Entertainment Group developing new materials. In the
meantime, fans can check him out live in concert on March 2 at Sky City in Augusta, GA.

D Stackz – Eazy | @DStackz_SNG

Bronx Producer and Artist D-Stackz Plans to Release
New Project after the Success of “My Sh-t” and “Jungle”

LOS ANGELES, CA – Straight from the endless hustle and bustle of the Bronx,
New York, esteemed artist and producer D Stackz is here to make waves in the
industry. When D Stackz decided to pursue a career within the music industry, he
looked to his father for inspiration. Through watching his father grow his own
career in their home studio, D Stackz ultimately developed the desire to follow
suit. Little did he know, with hard work and dedication, his production would take
him further than he could've imagined at the time.

Initially, D Stackz began putting himself out there, and connecting with local
artists in the studio. It wasn’t long before word got around, and D Stackz’ musical
abilities caught the attention of so many in the industry. Though, D Stackz didn’t
become complacent, and decided to take his career to the next level as a
recording artist. “I’ve been rapping, and I’ve really been venturing out. I want to
come forth as an artist, and right now I’m working on my projects with
songwriting,” said the artist. The artist’s lyricism stands out among any average
song, and further verifies that D Stackz is truly the jack-of- all-trades.

Fans will be happy to learn that D Stackz is currently working on his next major
project. All songs included in this project will be produced by D Stackz himself,
and feature various artists throughout. Through this, D Stackz will fuse a type of
southern flair with the hard-hitting rap New York is known for. “I would have to
say it’s a mix. There’s a little bit of Atlanta and New York. There are some real
808-driven” beats. It’s going to be real catchy with an emotional influence,” said
D Stackz. When it comes to his style, everything is so organic and strategically
put together. Take his record with A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, “My Sh-t", which
went platinum at the end of 2016. D Stackz refuses to place limits on himself,
and it shows within his track record- literally and figuratively!

Looking ahead, D Stackz has major plans in the works for himself and the
landscape of his future music career. Though the artist currently owns his own
production label, S.N.G. Inc., he is committed to taking it a step further in
developing up-and- coming artists. His desire is to change the game, as he did
with his production on “Jungle”, which achieved gold status. Through his vast
capabilities within all facets of music, there will be no surprise when he
accomplishes this.

Prophet Mike – Nikki | @LilMikeX

ME Blog, Music, Promo

Prophet Mike speaks truth to the world through music
while touching on hot-button issues

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Prophet Mike is an artist who isn’t afraid to be controversial. In fact, you
could almost say that he seeks out controversy and even instigates it through his music. It’s
kind of the cornerstone of who he is as an artist.

“When I rap I’m talking about politics or what’s happening in society today,” said the fast-rising
musician out of Washington, D.C. “It could be abuse or abortion or racial division – anything
that’s riding the wave of what’s trending and topical. I’m trying to be more of the Kanye of this
generation. So, yes, I’m definitely going for controversial.”

His most recent EP, “Resurgence,” is a good example of that thought-provoking and sometimes
antagonistic music. Released in late October 2017, the project is one that explores R&B and pop
sounds while touching on subjects associated with relationships as well as social issues. One
single from the EP, “Nikki,” was written through inspiration from a relationship he had with a
woman that he used to work with. Another single, “Facts,” was written while he was in London
in 2015. He said they’re songs that really fill a unique lane for his particular style of music.

“I do rap, but I don’t like to be called a rapper because I’m actually more of a songwriter,” he
said. “I write a lot of tracks for female artists or male R&B artists. I write pop and rock and also
produce a lot of those sounds. I’m trying to do everything, not just in one genre. In this
generation of music you have to be more versatile. You can’t just be a rapper who can just do
hip-hop – and I’m the guy who can do R&B on one song, then venture into jazz on the next one,
then hit you with rock somewhere else.”

Born in southeast London, Prophet Mike has always been interested in music. His family moved
to Maryland when he was young, and his experience between the two countries gave him a
unique cross-cultural perspective that shines through in his music. For the past decade he’s
been following in the footsteps of his idols – Michael Jackson, Nas, ABBA and The Beatles – by
writing, rapping and producing. Recent performances in New York and Maryland are just a taste
of what he can do, he said.

He released his first full-length mixtape in 2016 called “Motivation X Segregation.” It was the
first time he showcased his controversial side, with songs like “Shootas,” “Beat Killer” and
“Black and Proud” proving to the world that Prophet Mike is an artist whose lyrics are relevant
and hyper-aware of social justice issues happening all over the globe.

While riding the wave of success from “Resurgence,” Prophet Mike said he’s back in the studio
and hoping to release three full EPs, with the intention of really sitting down and crafting a
classic album over the next two years.

“I really want God to work through me so I can take time and build something prophetic,
controversial and, as always, deeply touching and thought provoking,” he said. “I want to find
new ways to evolve my style and music.”

B-Smooth and Boogie Black collaborate for new hit party
‘Came to Get Down’

NEW YORK, NY – Grand Groove Unlimited Records has a whole host of hit-makers on their
label, and two of them have come together to collaborate on the hot new single of 2018.

B-Smooth and Boogie Black have created a hot new party song called “Came to Get Down,”
which will drop Jan. 23 across all digital distribution sites. The up-tempo song with a driving
beat is one that’s sure to have people dancing, and will definitely make the rounds at clubs all
across the country. According to Boogie Black, who has been successful in the industry in recent
years because of his signature raspy sound and clever hooks, said the moment he heard the
first samples of the song developed by B Smooth, he knew it was going to be something great.

“When I heard that song I knew it was already a hit,” Boogie said. “(B-Smooth) is real talented,
and I’m always down for anything that’s going to make people dance and have fun. That’s what
I’m into – I’m all about helping people have fun and enjoy the party. And then when I met him,
his energy was positive and there was never any cursing or headaches. We just went in the
studio and made it do what it does. It was a no brainer working together.”

B-Smooth is a 26-year- old singer and musician with a degree in music business. At a young age
he began to experiment with music and has already seen some lofty success – such as winning
amateur night at the World Famous Apollo Theatre two times in a row, as well as appearing on
TV shows on Cable Vision, BAM, Wendy Williams and others. This debut single is his next step in
announcing himself to the world of music and establishing himself as a bona fide force in the
industry.

“I think my versatility sets me apart more than anything else,” B-Smooth said. “I’m always
writing based on how the beats make me feel. Most of my music is about what I would want to
listen to in the club. How do I want it turned up? Sometimes it’s music that’s just for chilling and
dancing or having a good time, and sometimes it’s music for getting wild with people that I
love. This song in particular is all about coming in and getting your dance on and having some
fun and having a lot of drinks.”

Boogie hails from the Bronx and has been in the music industry for a minute. He’s the nephew
of a hip-hop pioneer who passed while Boogie was a teenager. To escape the pain of his uncle’s
passing, Boogie became a member of the World Famous Skate Key, where he befriended an
aspiring DJ. The two of them would go on to create a writer/producer bond that saw them
creating one hit party song after another.

Eventually Boogie found himself in line with Chris Powell under Grand Groove Unlimited
Records. Chris is one of the most popular party hosts in the clubs of NYC and has collaborated
with a handful of artists under the label. Later this year Boogie and B-Smooth will be featured
on a compilation album with seven other artists from the record label.
