Gotti Dinero – Yea Yea

Industry Spotlight, ME Blog, Music, Videos

Tragedy sparks new trajectory for Chicago-based artist GottiDinero

CHICAGO, IL – Life shifted when Tay Mulla got the news that his brother and cousin died in a car crash this year. The young Hip Hop artist from the Englewood section of Chicago had been rapping with his brother for years, and the two had been slowly making a name for themselves throughout the greater Chicago area as rappers who should be taken seriously. His brother’s name was GottiDinero, and to honor him and make sure that name never gets lost to history, Tay has adopted the stage name as his own.

Under that name, GottiDinero has been releasing singles over the past year that are pure emotion. They’re the kind of singles that the Hip Hop industry needs today. They’re helping him spread his reputation beyond the Midwest into the entire U.S. and into the rest of the world. His latest single, “Yea Yea” is a fun vibe that is perfect for the summer.

“It’s a song that’s basically me like I’m lit,” he said. “It’s a getting-money vibe with that rapid fire delivery as I talk about my lifestyle and getting money and being with girls. I’m a versatile artist and I’m a real genius, and this song shows that. With my music, there’s no fake nothing. I’m a genuine artist and you can feel me in my music. I just be me. That’s my style. Ain’t nobody like me. I want people to hear my music and be like, ‘Damn!’ just off of one line. There’s a thoughtfulness behind my music – behind the rhyme schemes and the word choices. I can make party music but more-so, I make music people can vibe to and will touch people.”

GottiDinero said music became a central part of his life at a young age. He remembers listening to Lil Wayne as young as age 3. As he grew a little older, his cousin found a way for them to record on SoundCloud which sparked his journey in rap. Though his cousin would eventually walk away from music, GottiDinero never did. He fell into music, and about two years ago, he’d reached a point where he began releasing his music to the world. He shot his first music video and things began to take off. Then tragedy struck with his brother.

“It happened on June 17th this year,” he said. “My brother was with my cousin and sister and two friends. Four of them were ejected out of the car, but my cousin was stuck in the car and died on the spot. My brother, sister and friends were in the hospital. He died in the hospital and so did another girl. But my sister and her friend survived and healed pretty quickly. Thank God they healed quick. It took me a little while but I eventually realized I wanted to make sure my brother’s name is still out there and lives on. Any time they see me, they see his face. That’s what I hope my music does – passes that legacy along.”

Barryle – Say it

ME Blog, Music, Promo, Videos

Soulful singer Barryle evokes thoughts of
John Legend with latest single ‘Say It’

GREENVILLE, SC – It’s time for music lovers to start paying attention to Barryle. The soulful songwriter and singer from South Carolina had been making music for years, perfecting a sound and style that is equal parts throwback and original. With a voice reminiscent of John Legend and a production style that matches the highest levels of talent in the industry, this young artist is a musician that can no longer be ignored.

His latest single “Say It” is poised to put him on the map globally. With a mid-tempo quasi-African beat that embraces elements of Pop and R&B, “Say It” is the perfect song to showcase his soaring vocals and incredible ability to produce tracks at the highest level. And the hook is one of those catchy phrases that will not only have listeners singing it again and again long after they first heard the song, but also provides another level of sound as it showcases a signature grittiness of his voice. That gravely soul is a sound unlike any other today, and it’s the thing that’s sure to make him stand out in a crowded market.

“I’ve written thousands of songs over the years,” he said. “A while back, I made a goal of writing a song or a beat every day of the year. I’ve done that for five years now and I’ve learned a lot along the way. When I create songs, it always starts with one or two lines that pop in my mind. If I don’t forget it, I feel like it’s good enough to make a song out of it. I’m a very lyrical person. I like listening to songs that have lines that stick with you. I’m big on creating those kinds of moments. With this song in particular, the line I started with was ‘What good is love if …’ that line kept coming back to me so I made the beat and from there, I loved the song. It’s maybe my favorite song that I’ve created. I’m a person who says everything I feel in the moment I feel it, and this song basically says that if you care for me and love me, then you should say that now. Don’t wait forever to say it. Tomorrow may not come, so let’s love today.”

When it comes to love, Barryle is no stranger to its ups and downs. He credits his wife, Nala as his muse and the one person who has not only stood beside him while he chased this dream of being a professional musician, but lifted him up in times when he doubted himself.

“Valentine’s Day weekend of 2016 is a good example of that,” he said. “We were approaching our first Valentine’s Day as a married couple. I had finished recording my first full self-produced album ‘Jean, DeAnnaB.Major’ on my birthday on Feb. 8, and Valentine’s Day was the following Sunday. I only had a little more than $100 to my name, and I was trying to think of things we could do for Valentine’s Day that would have meaning but wouldn’t cost as much because I wasn’t going to get paid for another 12 days. I went to our bedroom to tell her that the album was done and she said, ‘Good. There’s a guy on Facebook printing 100 CDs for $100. You should get some.’ I let her know why I thought I should wait and she fought me until I gave in and called the guy. We went and picked up the CDs on Valentine’s Day weekend, stuffed CDs and inserts into sleeves and went to barbershops and hair salons singing with my guitar. We sold well over those 100 CDs that we ordered and had to print more. We ended our weekend on Valentine’s Day and I asked Nala – with a replenished bank account – ‘What do you want to do for Valentine’s Day?’ She immediately pointed me to an open mic and we spent the day working together to reach this goal. From that open mic, I met a great friend who sent me to a gig in his place because he couldn’t make it, and from that moment forward, my career hasn’t slowed down. Nala has become my music and I’m amazed daily by her. Every time I attempt to slip back into being the insecure person I used to be, she reminds me of who I am. She just completes my puzzle.”

It’s stories like that – deeply emotional but also relational – that find their way into Barryle’s songs time and time again. He has a big archive of music that he’s created over the past five years, and he’s set to release a new single every Friday from now until the end of the year.

[Video] K1NG ZOE – FEEL1NG AMAZ1NG | @K1NG_ZOEBSG

Videos

There’s a new rap king on the rise and his name is K1NG ZOE. Hailing from Miami, Florida, the lyricist is making waves with his debut single “FEEL1NG AMAZ1NG” as his powerful lyrics bring feel good music back to its essence.

Encouraging others to always feel good about themselves, despite the pressures of society, “FEEL1NG AMAZ1NG” will have people’s mood in high spirits from sun up to sun down.

Following in the footsteps of some of his rap mentors like Trick Daddy, Rick Ross, Ice Billion Berg, Billy Blue, Jay-Z, ZRO, and Wiz Khalifa, to name a few, K1NG ZOE explains why he’s on a mission to infuse empowering meaningful lyrics back into music:

“My music is inspirational and it is very relatable. As people sing the lyrics to my songs, they have so much passion because it’s not just a good hook and a fire beat. It’s their life story! I say the things that people want to express, but aren’t sure how others will view them after it’s been said. Everybody wants to be the “toughest gangsta” in a lot of Rap songs today but my music explores the importance of being human, making mistakes, and learning from them to turn mistakes into income.”

K1NG ZOE, a retired US Navy vet, has had an innate love for music since he was a child. In middle school he participated in the school’s band ensemble, furthering his passion for music. While on active duty, he served as a Hospital Corpsmen and it was during his tour in Afghanistan where he started writing about his experiences while there. Upon his return to the states and while continuing to serve his country, he began to record and release his music through the popular global music platforms, “SoundCloud” and “DatPiff Mixtapes.”

“Lines of a King” was his first released mixtape which was played first by DJ 100K in December of 2012. Since then K1NG ZOE has been honorably discharged and has fully devoted himself to fulfilling his appetite for music.

Always having the true spirit of a leader, K1NG ZOE started his own company “Black Sneaker Entertainment” that encompasses a radio station as well as a record label. He is now slated to release a catalog of new music with up and coming artists under Black Sneaks Entertainment/Against All Odds Music Group. Currently working on his debut EP “Season of Revenge” for 2019, K1NG ZOE will also blow you away with his singles “73 featuring Ice Billion Berg” and “FRANCO L1NK.”

Speaking of “FRANCO L1NK,”he explains,

“Everyone measures how successful you are by comparing it to some material worth. They’re checking for how big your crib is or the type of foreign you drive. As for myself, a Franco Link is my chaining day. No pun intended. After the countless sacrifices made to reach my pinnacle, a Franco Link speaks for it all. I want to be able to have the power to make a phone call and change someone’s life completely. And while doing it, that Franco Link will sit just right.”

K1NG ZOE is just getting started and it has been a very promising start. As with all great creators, he has embarked on fulfilling his entrepreneurial vision. Stay tuned as he declares,

“My only limit is that which I impose on myself.

MH Mace – Thoughts in My Head

Blog, Industry Spotlight, ME Blog, Music, Promo, Videos

MH Mace offers fly stream of consciousness with new single ‘Thoughts in my Head’

LONG ISLAND, NY – It’s not every day that a stream of consciousness turns into a hit song, but that’s exactly what has happened for New York rapper MH Mace. His new single “Thoughts in my Head” is the perfect example of how quality rapping and a good beat can sometimes create magic. What was born from a freestyle in the studio has turned into one of the hottest tracks ever created by this up-and-coming East Coast artist, and fans all over the world are adding it to their playlists to hear on repeat.

Like all of his music, each song in his repertoire is titled after an aspect of his life. With “Thoughts in my Head,” Mace is spilling the story of his life in its raw form. He’s authentic – nothing fabricated or extra – and he sets the tone for all the other songs that will come on the EP of the same name.

“When the beat comes on, I just let it flow out,” he said. “When you’re from New York, music is everywhere. When I was young, at first I was just rapping but eventually I learned how to do melodies and different instrumentals. I started playing with it and exploring, and the feedback I was getting was really good. I put a couple of songs out on Soundcloud and it just took off from there.”

While Mace is a nickname derived from his birth name, Maceo, the MH in his stage name refers to “Most Hated.” That’s a moniker that he and his friends created as they grew up in Long Island.

“We were always the crew that everybody hated because we were the flyist and all that extra stuff,” Mace said. “Now I’m running with it because it is a great way to think about my music. I make great quality music and I feel like my songs shouldn’t be skipped. If it comes on in a shuffle, it shouldn’t be skipped. Like my favorite artists – Meek Mill and Lil Durk and A Boogie – you can tell my music is authentic. They always tell a story with their music, and so do I. They’re not just saying whatever they think is cool. They’re actually telling a story in most of their songs. That’s what you get with my music.”

Mace said he considers himself to be a “lit introvert” – a guy who is laid-back but who can be lit whenever the occasion calls for it. And when that happens, his music sets the perfect tone for any occasion.
