Young Nolia – Do It For Me

Blog, Industry Spotlight, ME Blog, Music, Promo, Videos

Young Nolia Makes Turnt Songs While The Kids Sleep

ATLANTA- Growing up in Poplarville, MS, Young Nolia remembers waking in the night to hear his aunts and uncles partying and playing spades in the next room. To him, it was a hint of the mysterious lives parents have at night. Now a father of two, Nolia sees those nights from a different perspective, and that’s what inspired his new EP “While The Kids Sleep.”

“I wanted to do a project with four turnt songs, no slow songs. Normally my projects are like a roller coaster where they bring you up and then drop you down. These songs are all high energy,” the artist promises. The EP kicks off with the title track, ““While The Kids Sleep,” a pre-party anthem for people about to get loose. Next up, “Live Large” celebrates the struggle to keep a hustle mentality and the rewards reaped from it.

In the project’s third track, the artist looks at all the social media challenges that encourage women to share their sex appeal with strangers. He describes his take on this, saying, “From their man’s perspective, he’s saying, ‘You’re doing all that for the ‘gram; do it for me.’ My idea for the video is me with a girlfriend and she’s doing all these challenges and I’m just in the cut. Then take a social angle and have me see what I can put on social media.

The EP closes with “Please Excuse the Swag” (or “PES”), which nods at Nolia’s love of looking fly. In fact, he has a clothing line named “Courtesy of The Fly,” and he knows how the right clothes can make a difference in how a person feels. In this song, he answers to haters who feel threatened by his fresh look. “You get dressed up nice and guys want to hate on you. But I get dressed to look fresh, not to make them mad at me. Please excuse the swag. I’m not doing this to upset you. I don’t get dressed to do you harm,” he laughs.

That mix of big city style and grind with small-town humility give the artist direction and maturity. He also honed those values on previous music he released as Kobe Flyant. Nolia has found that originality comes with time. “Once you start out, you sound like the people that you listen to the most because you haven’t found yourself yet. It took me some time and finding what I really wanted to rap about. I really want to rap about things I actually do. It took some years, but I’m comfortable with how I sound now,” he says. “It’s easy to get out here and rap about crime and all that, but I don’t want that kind of energy.” He compares his music to the chill vibes of Curren$y, Big K.R.I.T., and Wiz Khalifa.

“I take my music very seriously. I work hard and I’d love to be heard, and I think I’m good,” says Nolia.

“While The Kids Sleep” will be available on June 25 on all major streaming platforms.

Teezy Presidential – Vacay

Teezy Presidential elevates summer vibes with bouncy new groove ‘Vacay’

FAIRFIELD, AL – Teezy Presidential is an on-the-rise Fairfield, Alabama artist whose latest hit single “Vacay” has been lighting up the clubs and airwaves this summer. The playful flow offers listeners a fun, bouncy groove that makes you smile when you hear it. Offering listeners a get-away from the hardships of life and a break from the monotony of daily routines, “Vacay” is the ultimate summer single, and a great introduction to this young artist from the South.

Teezy has only been in the game for a little bit, but he’s already carving out quite a niche for himself within hip-hop and music at large. He’s already had the opportunity to work with notorious artists such as Project Pat and New York’s Maino, and with his latest hit single “Vacay” he’s looking to make his mark on the industry.

“I try to be different with my flow,” said this rapper from the South, whose accent is one of his most defining features on almost any track he creates. “I try to match my exact mood to the vibe of the song. My music is very diverse. I try not to push myself into any one category, I just make songs based upon what I’m going through in life situations. With this song I was dreaming about being somewhere else because at the time I had some issues that were going on and I had to handle business and there was just a lot of stuff up against me at the moment. I needed a getaway – a space to clear my mind. I think a lot of people need that right now in this post-pandemic period. This song offers you that all in one package. It has soul and emotion and it’s just a lot of fun”

Teezy said soul and emotion are two things that will always come to the forefront in his music. It’s something he’s worked hard to capture since he was a young boy first exploring songwriting and music-making. He’s been dabbling with music off-and-on for about 12 years, but it wasn’t until recently that he picked it up full-time and pursued it as a full-blown career as a recording artist. He said he knows he has what it takes to make a splash in the industry because he has a different viewpoint and a strong work ethic.

“Presidential is a reference to the status that I hold myself to with my music,” he said. “Everything has to be at a certain level. The energy that I’m coming with is all about the status of being elevated. At the end of the day I want to better relate to people through my music. No matter how far I get in the industry, I always want to stay to a point where I can connect to people who are listening to my music.”

Teezy said he’s already in the process of developing another track, which he hopes to release before the summer is over. He’s also working on a video for “Vacay,” which should drop soon.

Belee Kaur – I Believe

Blog, Industry Spotlight, ME Blog, Music, Promo, Videos

Former Tennis Pro Belee Kaur turns to Dance Pop with Massive Hit Single ‘I Believe’

TORONTO, ONTARIO, CANADA – It’s not unusual for professional athletes to use music as motivation, though it’s not every day that you hear about a former tennis pro turning to Dance Pop as an artistic outlet. That’s the case for Canadian-Indian singer/songwriter Belee Kaur, however. While traveling the world as a professional tennis player, music was always her best friend. She recalls crucial moments in her tennis matches when she would sing her favorite songs in her mind to calm herself down. Eventually she realized that music was her true passion, and after a lifetime of training and touring, she hung up her tennis racket in favor of the microphone and partnered with RATHMUZIK and BENTLEY RECORDS, NEW YORK to begin her musical journey. It has proven to be a great move, because with only two releases to date she has already topped 2 million views on YouTube, and her star is only climbing.

Her latest single is the hit summer track “I Believe.” Stuck right in the middle of the Dance Pop lane, this upbeat jam is sure to be played in the clubs for many years to come. If you listen to this song and don’t move your body then you must be dead. It’s an upbeat, pumping groove that is perfect for a night out with friends. People all over the world will be getting sweaty as they jump and bounce to the music that Belee Kaur has created.

“I wrote this song as a response to the self-motivation I felt when going through a lot of difficulties,” she said. “If you really want something, you don’t need someone to back you or encourage you. Just tell yourself that if you want it, you can do it. I accepted my feelings and said this is what I wanted to do. Making a song about that emotion just felt so good, and when we gave it that little bit of an EDM touch it just came out perfect.”

“I Believe” is actually the second hit from this fast-rising young artist. Her previous track “Saturday Night” – a cover of the hit from Whigfield – has already surpassed 300k+ views on YouTube. The follow-up single is well on its way to catching that total, having already amassed nearly 1.5 million views in just a couple of weeks in its release. That doesn’t even include the rising number of plays across all the other streaming platforms upon which the single has been placed. And Belee said she has even more music planned to drop later this year, including a feature on an upcoming track with world famous Sean Paul, and many more renowned collaborations.

“Always trust God and his plans for you,” Belee said. “Your outlook should be no looking back. I have always wanted to make music that is lively and makes people happy and want to dance. There are too many reasons to be sad nowadays, but music can bring happiness and inspiration to your life. Even if I only inspire one other person, I think I did my job. So, I hope people will use my music to convince themselves not to give up. If we can support each other, we can achieve all that we want to.”

Jay Soundz – This Is It

Blog, Industry Spotlight, ME Blog, Music, Promo, Videos

Jay Soundz offers South-style bump with new single ‘This Is It’

CHICAGO, IL – It’s not unusual for Chicago-based rapper Jay Soundz to be asked by fans who creates the beats for his songs. His percussive, Southern-style bump music is infectious and fun, and people want to know who he collaborated with to create that catchy sound. So it should come as no surprise that one of his favorite things to do is smile proudly and announce that the beats are all his – as is everything else about his music. From editing to songwriting to special effects, and everything in between, Jay Soundz is a one-man professional artist with skills that put him right up there at the top with other stellar artists in the game.

“When people ask me, ‘Where’d you get this beat from?’ I love to tell them, ‘I made it!’” Jay said. “It all comes from me. More than anything that’s what I want people to know about my music is that everything is mine. I can produce my own beats. I can mix and master. I can write and record. Unless there’s a producer tag on a song that indicates I got it from someone else, the majority of what I create is mine. I like collaborating with others, but I have all the skills necessary to make a quality body of work on my own.”

That journey as a musician started as a young boy who watched nearly everyone in his family embrace music in one way or another. His parents were both singers, and most of his cousins were artists and music professionals in one way or another. Jay started writing lyrics in sixth grade, and by high school he was producing and learning audio engineering. He eventually went to college to continue his education as an audio engineer, and after graduating he hasn’t looked back. Today he continues to explore new sounds and create new music that is equal parts entertaining and introspective.

A sample of his work can be found on the album “Come Alive,” which is currently available on Soundcloud. It features 10 tracks, half of which are his own productions. The stand-out single from the album is “This Is It,” a track that he said is just a lot of fun. Like most of the music he creates, it has a nice beat with a catchy hook that says, “This is it. This that Feeling. This that vie. This that shit. This that feeling ya’ll be waiting for for years.” It’s a song that incorporates his blend of Down South style and Chicago-based vibes. You can instantly hear influences from some of his favorite rappers, such as Ludacriss, Kanye West, and Young Jeezy.

“My beats might have a little bit of that Drill bassline, but my songs and sound won’t have that Drill vibe,” Jay said. “It’s just that I use a lot of percussion and drums. They have that South-style bump. I got a lot of stuff that bumps.”

Jay said he’s working on completing a music video for “This Is It,” which should drop sometime later this summer. To listen to his music, or to follow him on social media, please visit the following links:

Kendall Day – Fallback

Blog, Industry Spotlight, ME Blog, Music, Promo, Videos

R&B artist Kendall Day drops bouncy new groove ‘Fallback’ to kick off the summer

ATLANTA, GA – A lot of professional musicians can recall the moment in their lives when they found music, but for Kendall Day it was the other way around.

“Music found me,” said the singer and Atlanta resident whose new single “Fallback” has been making waves since its recent release across all streaming platforms. “When I got into music, I didn’t know exactly what to do. I was an athlete. I played baseball, basketball and football. I was always in music as well. I couldn’t shake it. I’m pretty diligent and I work hard at everything I do, and when I finally committed to music I started taking it to a whole new level. And once I got to that level, I just stayed persistent, I didn’t stop.”

Today, the R&B star who originally hailed from Detroit is making a strong case as the next artist to bring R&B back to the city of Detroit – a city best known for its many rap stars. With roughly 10 years invested in his career, Day is now a member of the Songbook Entertainment brand and has been working closely with Grammy award winning executive producer Troy Taylor. His new summer banger “Fallback” – produced by super producers Inigo Sane and Troy Taylor – has been creating buzz in plenty of circles and is currently making its way from Atlanta to Detroit and all across the U.S.

“I like it because it has that bounce I like. It has that Bay Area vibe to it” Day said. “I like my music with some bounce. We’re in a dance era. I Love it.  – everyone is dancing right now – and I wanted that one record that everyone could dance to. It’s a song about falling back from a toxic situation with a girl that you know isn’t healthy for you but you have to learn to let go. Just as certain things come up in life to try to test you, and you gotta stay focused. There are some things you gotta fall back from. Old ways. Bad habits. Sometimes you even fall back and then get back on and then fall back again. Ultimately, though, improvement is a journey, you gotta stay steadfast and focus on your goals.” Fallback is that. Getting back to your best self.

Day said his ability to adapt to new sounds and styles throughout his career has been one of the main things to set him apart from others in the industry. He also presents a very youthful vibe, even though he has an old soul that is apparent through his lyricism. His influences range from artists such as Chris Brown, Drake and Young Thug to Brandy, Anita Baker and John Mayer. He said even more than that, however, he’s influenced “by all the creativity happening around the world. It’s everywhere right now.” At the end of the day he said he wants his music to be recognized for having substance and for having a positive influence.

“I want my music to touch people in a way that gets them through whatever situation,” he said. “I don’t really make non-substantial songs. Most of my songs are talking about something. I hope people take a little bit of something every time they hear it, or every time they feel it.”

i

A video for “Fallback” is slated to drop later this summer, and Day said he may also release a remix of the song. To listen to his music, or to follow him on social media, please visit the following links:

Lavelle Williams – Amazing

Blog, Industry Spotlight, ME Blog, Music, Promo, Videos

Upbeat Pop jam from Lavelle Williams offers fans an ‘Amazing’ experience

SACRAMENTO, CA – A fun new Dance Pop groove that’s sure to make you bop and sway to the beat has arrived from West Coast artist Lavelle Williams. “Amazing” is a simple but fun jam that’s all about the feelings that come when you’ve found that special someone. It’s upbeat, with hints of R&B influences throughout. The simple acoustic guitar intro leads to some driving drums that let loose for the Pop-heavy vocals from Lavelle. It’s a song with a mid-tempo bounce that makes you want to bop your head, and it’s paired with a nice sway that builds over the course of the song. It’s the perfect song to enjoy at the clubs, or to just play in the background with chilling with friends at a party.

Williams said “Amazing” is a great example of his unique sound and style in that it displays his mastery of many genres. He considers his sound to be a mixture of everything, and cites a wide range of influences that include Drake, Justin Bieber, John Legend, and Big Sean. He also has studied some of the legends in rap, and considers Tupac one of the best lyricists of all time.

“I hope my music is known for bringing new things to the table,” he said. “I want to bring a new sound that incorporates a variety of different genres. And mostly I want to make something that makes people happy and makes them want to dance.”

Music is something that’s been a mainstay in Williams’ life from the time he was born. His grandfather is the legendary Lenny Williams from Tower of Power, and for as long as he can remember he’s been singing and rapping alongside other members of his family. More than that, however, he said music has been a great escape for him through the years and has helped him cope with some of the harder experiences of his life.

“It helps me cope with and get my feelings out there,” he said. “I’m very grateful for the family and friends who have supported me and helped me along the way, and I’m so glad that I’ve had music in my life to push me along.”

Williams said “Amazing” is the first track off a forthcoming EP that he’s working toward completing later this year.

Talia Justina – You Got Me

Blog, Industry Spotlight, ME Blog, Music, Promo, Videos

Talia Justina displays impressive talent on hot new single ‘You Got Me’

LOS ANGELES, CA – There are a lot of genres in the world of music, and a lot of talented people making music in those genres. Talia Justina is trying to create something new.

After a decade of exploring new sounds and finding her unique voice, she’s landed on a signature style that certainly makes a case for originality. That talented display of artistry is put on full display with her impressive new single “You Got Me.”

Currently available across all streaming platforms, “You Got Me” is a song that takes its influence from a variety of genres – Pop, Rock, R&B and more – yet finds itself in a place that’s hard to pinpoint with a specific title. The wavy intro makes way for Talia’s soaring vocals, and when the beat drops listeners are immediately hooked. You can’t help but bounce with the groove and Talia takes you on a ride. The slow jam summer hit feels like an elevated take on Pop legends like Ariana Grande, making it a smash that’s just waiting for the world to catch on.

“It’s a song that’s about a relationship that’s sustainable and almost relentless in the way that it lasts,” Talia said. “I feel like there’s a lot of bad energy in music today, and I really wanted to express something about how there can be that one person that you just know when you’re with them it can last. There’s not a lot of representation like that in music right now, and I wanted to showcase something different.”

Talia has been singing her whole life and got a first-hand education in music as she watched her mother – a professional musician – sing at events and on cruise ships for much of her childhood. She made it her goal to pursue music, as well, and her biggest opportunity came at a young age when she was discovered by her manager Jason Charles at only age 10. Charles and his business partner, EIF, have helped develop Talia into one of the fastest-rising young talents in the world. EIF has also worked as the primary producer for her music, and helped craft the masterpiece that is “You Got Me.” Talia considers them to be her family, and together the three of them have created something special with her signature style.

“I want people to instantly know it’s me they’re listening to,” Talia said. “My voice is distinct. You can’t confuse me with anyone else you’re listening to today. I would only hope and dream to be known as a legacy. More than anything I hope I’m an artist who is known for embracing her individuality. I also want to be known as a voice for the youth – inspiring them to create whatever they set their minds to. That’s all I want to do for the rest of my life – create what I love and encourage others to create what they love, as well.”

Talia said she and her team are working on putting together an EP this year, with more singles set to release within the next few months. To listen to Talia Justina’s music, or to follow her on social media, please visit the following links:

Don Private – Lessons

Blog, Industry Spotlight, ME Blog, Music, Promo, Videos

Don Private uses second chance on life to inspire others to learn from his hard ‘Lessons’

FAYETTEVILLE, NC – Don Private is a prolific storyteller who paints vivid pictures with his pithy bars and distinctive voice. In 2020 he offered the world his debut EP “1229,” introducing audiences to his signature style and perfect blend of sharp, solid lyrics spilled over sturdy, hypnotic beats. Currently streaming on all digital music platforms, “1229” is a tour du force of sound and style that has been bringing in an ever-widening global fanbase for this young up-and-coming rapper. This year he followed that up with the release of his sophomore project “1229Empire,” and his debut single from that EP, “Lessons,” is making waves all around the world.

With a hard-driving, fast-paced, rapid-fire flow, Don Private showcases a unique skill as a rapper on top of a nice, bouncy beat with “Lessons.” Coupled with a fun, piano-driven background melody, the song is an intriguing juxtaposition of bouncy fun and aggressive energy. It’s a song that talks about this unique artist’s struggle – getting sentenced to 13 years in prison on a murder charge when he was only 17 years old. Now out of prison, he’s using his natural gifts as a musician to inspire others to learn from his hard-learned lessons.

“I’ve taken my bumps and bruises and kept my dignity and honor along the way,” he said. “I could come out of all of that and look people in the eye and stand tall and tell people younger than me what to do and what not to do to succeed in life. With my music I can paint a vivid picture. I know where you’re going right now, but let me give you this dream. I learned a lesson, and you can learn from me. I’m thankful for all my blessings and just want to share that with as many people as possible.”

Don said he honestly doesn’t know what he’d be doing today if it wasn’t for music. Once a young bull tied to the streets and the struggle, music is the thing that literally transformed his life and took him down a healthier path.

“I’m so passionate about my music and sharing my message and my vision with the world,” he said. “Imma play Picasso in this industry. My music isn’t like most in the mainstream today. I spit from the heart. This shit here is authentic. It’s not a gimmick created to sell streams. Hip hop is beautiful. It made a way for street niggas like me to escape their environment and live life. I’m grateful for the second chance. I’m definitely thrilled about this new project. Ya’ll gonna really feel this one.”

Akasha Rah – RIP Stalker

Industry Spotlight, ME Blog, Music, Promo, Videos

Healer and spiritualist offers emotional release through new single ‘RIP Stalker’

LOS ANGELES, CA – Akasha Rah is not just a musician or even just an artist – she’s a healer and spiritualist who uses multiple forms of artistic expression to offer soothing salves for the soul. She’s been described as a multi-dimensional lyricist, rapper, hypno-therapist, filmmaker, spiritualist, fashion designer, actor and entrepreneur, and her latest project “RIP Stalker” is yet another offering of health-laced entertainment that she said is sure to help anyone who has ever been a victim of unwanted overtures.

“I had a personal life experience with a stalker and had to get a restraining order,” Akasha said. “I don’t know if she found on me on social media, but she kept harassing me. All of my music a little different, but this one captures my anger and emotions from that experience. I wanted to put it out there because everyone who listens to it can relate to it on a variety of levels. All my life experiences I turn into healing processes or teaching processes for other people. I never thought something like this happened in the world, let alone that it would happen to me. But a lot of people have reached out to me since hearing this song and said that they’ve had similar experiences. It was traumatizing and difficult, and as an artist I knew I had to express myself in some way or form to help others who have been through similar things.”

Originally from South Russia, Akasha has lived in China and New York before settling in Los Angeles. Pulling from various artistic, cultural and life experiences, Akasha has developed her music style with a unique, hypnotic voice, flow and lyrics. More than that, she’s a conscious entrepreneur who owns several companies, including her trans-dimensional entertainment platform #NOBASICS. It’s a movement that aims to provide a non-basic approach to the world’s social and economic issues through various media outlets. She also has a nonprofit organization called “Temple of Akasha” that she formed for “the evolutions of human consciousness to empower the divine feminine, fight injustice and violence in the world, as well as to provide crisis relief.”

“Once I found my voice, I started using it to speak up for those who couldn’t speak up for themselves,” she said. “It’s hard to express yourself when you go through traumatic experiences. Many people don’t realize how painful those experiences are, and they don’t know what it takes to overcome those situations. I just want to get my messages out. I don’t make music to be known for music. I make it to reach out to other people. I inspire people. I want to be known for inspiring people to make changes in their lives and for empowering people, especially other women.”

In addition to her new single, Akasha also has a documentary coming out later this year that will chronicle her journey and showcase some of the healing techniques she offers.

TAIN – Escobars

Industry Spotlight, ME Blog, Music, Promo, Videos

Versatile rapper TAIN showcases raw skill with dope new video for hit single ‘Escobars’

HOUSTON, TX – Many people around the world would recognize the name Pablo Escobar. He’s often thought of as the most successful drug trafficker in the world. He made billions of dollars with the drugs he distributed, and to this day is one of the most infamous figures in all of history.

Houston-based artist TAIN is on a similar mission of dominance, albeit in the world of music. His latest single “Escobars” is less an homage to the nefarious criminal and more a testament to the fact that he considers himself to be the dopest rapper in the game. In essence, he’s giving dope music out to the people of the world, and he hopes to one day be as successful at it as Pablo Escobar was with drugs.

“I know I’m the dopest rapper out there,” he said. “With this song I’m rapping about how I’m dope without actually rapping about narcotics. It’s mostly about knowing my talent and how good I am, and wanting other people to finally recognize that.”

TAIN said the song came to him while sitting in a room frustrated because of not being where he wanted to be in life musically. For him, it’s not just about the money but rather about giving people something they can relate to while also giving them good energy they can live on eternally, all while being the dopest artist doing it. He started thinking about how to do that with his music, and from those initial thoughts he created “Escobars.” The video for the single is a nod to that moment, as it takes viewers on a journey into his dream-like state.

“It starts with me sitting in a room and falling asleep, and then a bunch of weird stuff starts going on,” he said of the video. “I’m in a movie theater watching myself in a dream-like state performing. It’s like I’m watching myself perform the song. It’s unique, which is what this song really displays – that versatility that I bring to the game. I know I sound distinctive, and I never want to mimic anybody or sound like anybody else out there.”

TAIN said he’ll continue to demonstrate that versatility over the next month as he releases more singles that explore a variety of different sounds. No two songs sound the same, he said. All of them, however, are born from the personal issues he goes through and his point of view on real-life situations, or from which he just got vibes.

“Sometimes if a beat is just hot, I might just create something that’s a vibe, but for the most part I’m writing about real-life situations,” he said. “More than anything I want people to hear my music and get a dope, positive message. A lot of my music has different feelings – heartbreak and pain and joy and all kinds of emotions. People can relate to it no matter who they are or where they live. You could be the brokest or the richest person on the planet and still relate to my music.”
