Galo Shadez – Stress Free

Music, Promo, Videos

Galo Shadez creates his own vibe with cool new summer jam ‘Stress Free’

LOS ANGELES, CA – Galo Shadez is an artist who never wants to be pigeonholed into one specific sound. In fact, he’s so strongly against the idea that he’s created a movement that he calls Create Your Own Vibe – or CYOV, for short – that encourages others to embrace diversity and explore any kind of artistic expression they want.

That exploration of sound and style takes center stage on his latest single. “Stress Free” is a cool and upbeat summer jam that’s perfect for hanging out with friends or enjoying alone while chilling outside on a warm summer night. Inspired from a moment while living in Southern California, the song talks about living life on his own terms and staying away from any type of negativity as he focuses on pushing forward to achieve his goals.

“Usually when I find a track that I like, the beat will paint a picture in my head or a scene will come up in my mind and I just write to create that scene,” Shadez said. “When I heard this track, all I could think about was a nice sunny day in Cali – sitting on the rooftop and hanging out and having some drinks and just having a good time. That was the scene I had in my head, and I just went with it.”

Shadez said all of his songs are born from that kind of process. The music speaks to him, he said, and he lets the different feelings and vibes he gets from what he’s hearing to organically drive the journey. Based off that vibe he “sees a little trailer in my head, and that’s all I need to write the script.” This process also lends itself to exploring different sounds and styles from song to song – something he’s adamant about when it comes to his CYOV mantra.

“A lot of times people have told me I had to pick one genre, but that never really sat well with me,” he said. “What if I make good EDM tracks and good hip-hop tracks? Why can’t I do both? I also like Pop music and other styles. I don’t want to be put in a box. That’s what differentiates me. I don’t just do one type of genre or the same-sounding songs. You can go through my track lists and not any song sounds alike. More than anything that’s what I want to be known for – an artist who was true to himself. I want the positivity and fun, as well, but more than anything I want people to hear my music and know that it’s real. I just do me … and I’m comfortable with doing me.”

Shadez said he has more singles on the way over the next few weeks, including the new single “Your Attention,” which should drop sometime in the next month.

KingDarius TheGreat – Hoop Dreams ft Busta Rhymes

Blog, Industry Spotlight, ME Blog, Music, Promo, Videos

KingDarius TheGreat Drops a Posse Cut “Hoop Dreams” With Uncle Wahab, Pancho The Great & Busta Rhymes

In an ever changing industry in terms of how consumers come across new music, also comes a new wave of how artists collaborate with one another based on popularity within any given market nationally, and internationally with emphasis on streaming and online digital presence.

That being said, it’s not a far fetched idea that the guy who created the first viral song in music in KingDarius TheGreat, shares a “Digital Alliance” with a rapper from Kuwait named Uncle Wahab, another rapper from from Fort Worth Texas who goes by Moon Rock Panch and  legendary recording artist Busta Rhymes, on one record together titled HOOP DREAMS for a collaboration that only seems possible in today’s Digital Streaming Era. Having that understanding, this song actually has a few highlights from a listening standpoint as well, which is always refreshing in a very saturated industry.

Largely in part due to the road to riches Chorus written and passionately delivered by King Darius The Great, who yet again displayed his value, vision, and professionalism in terms of song direction. HOOP DREAMS captures the familiar story of, make it in sports or make it in music with the added twist of possibly losing your true self along the journey, or maintaining a high level of self respect while simultaneously living your dream and giving back to your respective community.

The Legend himself BUSTA RHYMES kicks off the 90’s type hip hop driven production, and blesses our ears with a verse we can all love and appreciate because afterall…… It’s BUSTA RHYMES! followed by a very stellar verse from Kuwait artist Uncle Wahab where he boasts about life living as Royalty overseas, then finished off by a heavily streaming new comer Moon Rock Panch who added finishing touches with his topic related hoop references.

All in All, what can be learned here is, the big pool of artists in this new digital era are not only working, but they are reaching out to one another if value is present and major artists are starting to get involved as well. Odd Collaborations can make for great music sometimes, and in this case, that’s exactly what took place here!

Estella Dawn – Pretty

New pop ballad from New Zealand singer Estella Dawn embraces body positivity

Denver, CO – It would be nice to feel great about yourself every day, but life can have a tendency to make you feel small and inadequate at times. This is especially true for people who use social media, these platforms are minefields of content that can make you compare your body and personality to the bodies and lives of seemingly “perfect” people online. In the words of Pop artist Estella Dawn, “It can be soul-crushing.”

“It can leave you feeling like all that you are isn’t enough,” said this singer-songwriter who originally hails from New Zealand. “That’s when you need someone to lift you up. You need kind words when you’re unable to speak them to yourself. You need reassurance when you’re feeling discouraged. You need a reminder that you’re a bad ass and that you should never shrink to make others comfortable, because you’re not ‘too much.’ You’re just enough.”

Estella reinforces those words on her latest hit single “Pretty,” which goes wide across all streaming platforms on Aug. 20. The song is a Pop Ballad that perfectly showcases this naturally gifted vocalist who at one point was a star on “New Zealand’s Got Talent.” The driving piano melody immediately sets the tone for the ballad, giving way to harmonies that display Estella’s sultry and soulful vocals. This is a new Pop Ballad that people need to pay attention to, not only because it introduces an artist who is poised to become an international superstar, but also because of the message behind the music.

“This song has nothing to do with aesthetics or being attractive,” Estella said. “In my opinion, that’s the least interesting thing about a person. But feeling confident, comfortable and empowered in your body is important. To me, that is true beauty.”

‘Pretty’ is the latest single from this young artist who has been steadily making a name for herself since moving to the US. Like many songwriters Estella has been writing, recording and releasing music from an early age. However it has been in the last 3 years that she has refined her craft and developed her own style that is clearly shown in the 13 singles she’s released since early 2020. These songs show a unique command of melodies, with a subtlety and range that are a personal and social exploration of life. They contain multiple layers – both vocally and musically. Soft and soothing but also sharp and gritty when needed. And with that maturity she has been compared to Adele, Billie Eilish, Pink and Hayley Williams.

As with any hard working musician this is just the beginning. Following “Pretty” she has another single titled “Cotton Candy” that she plans to release later this year. She is also currently in pre-production writing and arranging tracks to record and produce her first full-length album, this will be recorded in a Denver studio with a live band. Estella Dawn is one to watch out for.

Ganksta C – For Ma Family

Blog, Industry Spotlight, ME Blog, Music, Promo, Videos

Ganksta C showcases impressive flow against old-school vibe on latest hit single ‘For Ma Family’

DALLAS, TX – Eddie Carey has always been the kind of guy you just want to hang out with because he’s happy and fun and makes you smile when he talks. He tells great stories and just has a carefree, laid-back personality – all of which he showcases on his new single, “For Ma Family.”

An old-school hip-hop feel with a modern-day twist makes its way to the world from this West Coast artist who goes by the stage name Ganksta C. His new track “For Ma Family” is a fun, upbeat, even playful offering that feels like the old-school 90s West Coast hip-hop showcasing an unending freaky flow that is unrelenting. It’s the kind of song that fans all over the world will be memorizing so they can spit back the bars with their friends, or the kind of song that aspiring young musicians will use as practice to hone their own rap skills. Filled with humor and raw stories, “For Ma Family” is equal parts an inside look at Ganksta C’s life and an homage to the West Coast lifestyle. More than anything, it’s a song that perfectly showcases this young artist’s fun personality.

“The idea for the song started when I heard this song from Hubert Laws,” Ganksta C said. “I was going through my step-father’s old records – he has like 2,000 of them – and I had this little tape recorder and any time I found something I liked I would record it and rap to it. When I heard the beat on this particular song from Hubert Laws, I thought it sounded like Dr. Dre, and I thought to myself, ‘How can I rap to this beat?’ I don’t ever write my raps, I just freestyle, and so I started walking around listening to this song and freestyling. I told myself I was just gonna play it and hit it. So I started freestyling and putting parts of my life in there and just riding the beat. I couldn’t clear the sample, so Muggs Majandhra in San Francisco took my acapella and created me a beat, and damn it came out good”

Ganksta C said a lot of his music originates in that way – listening to old music and finding inspiration from various sounds and styles from acclaimed musicians of the past. That’s how he first got into music when he was a child, listening to old-school rappers and breakdancing with his friends on the streets in the Bay Area. Eventually he started making his own beats and gained a reputation around town as “that kid rapper.” The praise he received from his neighborhood spurred him on to make more music, and eventually he developed a career that now boasts a fanbase all over the U.S.

“I make soundtrack-type music,” he said. “It’s West Coast, for sure, but it’s the kind of music that makes you want to go out there right now and just roll through with that music. It’s West Coast Funk. I’m an old-school rapper and lyricist who likes to keep things as real and authentic as I can.  I want people to know me as an authentic artist. I can rap to some of the newer beats, but I like to keep it true to that old-school feeling because there’s still a place for that sound and I don’t want to change it up too much.”

Hunt Arrow – Blame

Industry Spotlight, ME Blog, Music, Promo, Videos

Hunt Arrow inspires fans with motivational new track ‘Blame’

FRESNO, CA – For as long as he can remember, Hunt Arrow has wanted to be a professional musician. Born and raised in Fresno, California, this young aspiring artist has studied some of the greatest artists of all time and fashioned his own unique sound and style from the inspiration he found from many of them. He’s worked hard over the years to create a signature style that is truly original, and after many releases in recent years he’s found something truly special with his latest hit single “Blame.”

Featuring a West Coast vibe with a hypnotic rhythm and flow, “Blame” is the kind of song that has a hook that will worm its way into every listener’s ear. It has a nice bounce to it and is the perfect kind of hype music to uplift people when they’re feeling sad or working through something difficult in life.

“It’s a song that’s supposed to loosen you up when you listen to it,” Hunt said. “Or maybe a song you can listen to when you’re chilling with friends in the car. It captures a feeling that I feel when I’m really confident. In reality I’m not like that, but with this song I’m expressing thoughts that I want to be like that, and it’s something that a lot of other people can relate to, I think.”

Originally inspired by a breakup with an ex-girlfriend, the song evolved throughout the process to become more of a wide-reaching motivational track that caters to a broad audience. It’s also a song that showcases Hunt’s ability to blend multiple genres – in this case Pop and Hip-hop – in ways that are equal parts intriguing and entertaining. He said his next project will be a further exploration of that sound and will incorporate a number of different instrumentals against that Pop/Hip-hop fusion of sound.

“I love that you can create or change feelings in someone’s heart through music,” he said. “I like to create feelings and vibes, and I hope people will remember me for good music. If you’re stressed or anxious about something in life, forget about your worries in that moment and time and use my music as a relief from the pain. That’s what makes me happy – if people like my music and use it to feel better about themselves, then I’m doing my job and I’ll keep making music forever to experience that.”

Hunt said he’s currently working on a full album that he hopes to release early next year. To listen to his music, or to follow him on social media, please visit the following links:

Brutha Faya – Night and Day

Blog, ME Blog, Music, Promo

Brutha Faya brings fire into your heart with meld of genres on multiple new single releases

NEW YORK, NY – Brutha Faya is an artist who is all about expressing music by any means necessary. He is the brother who brings fire into your heart. His purpose is to sell records, of course, but his mission through music is far more than that. He wants to create vibes and share messages that will help communities on a local, national and global level. No matter how bad the economy is or how oppressive culture can get, music has always been able to bring people together, he said. And his music is the kind that he hopes will serve as healing medicine for a lot of people.

His latest offering to the world is a set of singles that are already starting to get major notoriety after only a few weeks of release. The standout single is “Night And Day,” which features a Pop-infused vibe against a slow jam with an intriguing juxtaposition of melodies and harmonies. It’s a song with a nice sway and a message of rebirth that often comes after a storm.

“It’s a song told from the point of view of a couple that has lost family and close friends during COVID,” Brutha Faya said. “They’re struggling to make it, and they see hope at the end of the tunnel. In spite of all the things going on, they’re trying to stay positive – which is how all of us feel right now. This song encourages you to remember that good things are going to happen. After COVID there will be a rebirth, just like after every hardship there is a rebirth.”

Brutha Faya further emphasizes that point across three other singles that are currently available across all streaming platforms. With “Don’t Get Me Started,” he offers and R&B and Reggae classic sound fused with Indie Rock and Hip-hop for a melodic singing/rapping vibe that talks about the ups-and-downs of relationships. On “Home Run,” Brutha Faya admonishes anyone who adds fuel to the fire of racial tension and encourages all races of the world to come together and recognize the similarities we all share. He offers a light and vibrant feel with an Island vibe that makes good use of Indie Pop and Alternative sounds. And on “Inside Your Heart” Brutha Faya uses R&B melodies set against impressive raps and a light-electric-guitar-driven melody to share a simple love song that’s equal parts inspiring and sentimental.

“I’m not about going against the grain, but making it smoother for everybody to enjoy the difference in music, cultures, and this thing we call society,” Brutha Faya said. “I’m out to support the public – first by offering music at extremely low prices and performing at events that help the community, and second by informing and educating the public on ways to get ahead. I make it easy for those who believe in themselves to get ahead. Ultimately I want my music to be remembered for its originality and its truthfulness. I like to speak about things that are relevant. And I like to speak about hope. That’s what I’d like to be remembered for.”

Treece Kid – Country Side

Blog, Industry Spotlight, ME Blog, Music, Promo, Videos

Treece Kid offers fans a fun night out with upbeat summer jam ‘Country Side’

SOUR LAKE, TX – Many people who have heard a song from Texas-based artist Treece Kid can attest that he tends to lean toward more melancholy vibes. That can’t be said of his latest single, however, as “Country Side” is nothing short of the perfect upbeat summer party track. Self-described as a song that’s all about “escaping the city life and going to the country and partying your balls off,” the song takes listeners through a good time of drinking and smoking and hanging out with beautiful people.

“Typically, when I sit down to write a song, I go sad and depressed,” Treece Kid said. “But in this case, I knew I needed an uplifting party song. The way I feel about this song is that it’s kind of a mix between Yelawolf and Post Malone. I don’t necessarily want to be known as a Country rapper in hip-hop, but this song happened to have that theme and work out the way it did. Ultimately, I want to be more open with subject matter and go down any route or road I want to go down, regardless of the genre. I want to explore and be flexible with a lot of different sounds. With Pop and hip-hop you can explore any sound you want, and this song came out of that process.”

Born and raised in South Texas, Treece Kid grew up with influences ranging from hip-hop to country to R&B to rock and everything in between. Treece’s father introduced him to the guitar early in life, but he soon became more interested in sports and became a stand-out basketball and baseball star for his school teams. After sustaining an injury that ended his baseball career right on the heels of graduating from high school, Treece found himself mostly partying like a rock star. It was during this time that he gravitated back toward music, and not until the end of 2020 had he written and released his first two singles – “Need to Go” and “Addicted to You.” With “Country Side,” Treece Kid now has a third track and is gaining momentum with an ever-widening global fanbase.

“I want people to enjoy the music and feel the same way listening to it as I do when I create it,” he said. “I absolutely love the creation process of making a song. What first motivated me to start putting music of my own out there was listening to old Hank Sr. and Ray Charles records and loving how it would make me feel. It was amazing to me that something recorded so long ago could be something I could sit and enjoy today. My whole motivation for releasing music is the idea that my great-great-grandchildren could be riding around bumping my shit and laughing at it. That’s a win for me. That timelessness is eternal.”

In addition to “Country Side,” Treece Kid said he’s working on another single that should come out in the next month or two, and plans to have even more singles dropping throughout 2022.

Kara Colvin – Fired Up

Blog, Industry Spotlight, ME Blog, Music, Promo

Pop Rock gets a new twist on catchy new single from Kara Colvin

WEST PALM BEACH, FL – Anything a man can do, a woman can do … in heels.

Serving as both the hook and the theme of the hit new single “Fired Up,” that sentiment of women empowerment takes center stage on the latest offering from fast-rising young talent Kara Colvin. Hailing from West Palm Beach, Florida, this 20-year-old singer/songwriter has been creating some buzz along the East Coast with her unique blend of Pop and Rock set against soaring vocals that are undeniable. Taking influences from the grunge rock of the 90s and fusing that with the Pop sounds of today.

With “Fired Up,” Colvin showcases that unique style in impressive ways. It’s a song that talks about the expectations of women in today’s society, and the obstacles that every woman has faced growing up.

“So often we hear phrases – like ‘You throw like a girl’ or ‘You cried like a little girl’ – and this song basically says that we’re tired of taking this. We’re fired up,” Colvin said. “We’re not going to listen to this anymore because it isn’t fair. I’m gonna do what I wanna do because I want to do it, not because a man wants me to do it or I’m ‘supposed to do it.’ It’s all about self-empowerment and the key line that sticks with people is ‘Anything a man can do, I can do in heels.’ It’s an idea that fights the notion that women aren’t as capable as men.”

Colvin’s hook on “Fired Up” is a signature of her young career as a singer/songwriter. With all of the songs she’s released she’s developed a reputation as someone who has a talent for turning a phrase into something that’s equal parts anthemic and catchy. Those notable lyrics and individual lines of songs get stuck in people’s heads, and the result is a wave of music that’s being replayed over and over again all across the U.S.

“Ultimately I want my music to be known for helping people to really feel what I’m feeling,” Colvin said. “When you listen to a song and really love a certain line, or really love a certain phrase, it really gets to you. I try to always have a line like that which really grabs people. And I want to be known for helping people to really feel what I’m feeling and experience those things with me. Through that they can hopefully know that they’re not alone.”

Colvin said she’s currently at work on her second album, and that “Fired Up” is the debut single from that project.

True Facts and Haze – Busy

Hip-hop duo True Facts and Haze get ‘Busy’ with groovy, inspirational new single

GREENVILLE, NC – Punchlines and metaphors meet deep lyrical content on the new music from hip-hop duo True Facts and Haze. Their latest single, “Busy,” is a laid-back hip-hop groove that inspires listeners to maintain focus while chasing dreams and sets a chill vibe that is hypnotic and groovy.

Hailing from Greenville, North Carolina, these two brothers have been doing music together for years and have steadily grown a national fanbase that is dedicated and eager for more music. Having performed in major venues in Miami, New York, Charlotte, and more, True Facts and Haze have a pedigree of excellence that has become well-known among industry insiders. They produce hit after hit, and “Busy” is no exception. Released under their new company No Sleep Entertainment, the song is a precursor to a full-project that they’re developing that should come out later this year – a project that will fully showcase the duality of talent that they bring to the table.

“I’m someone who always has punchlines and metaphors and stuff like that, while True Facts is more lyrical,” Haze said. “When you bring those two things together you have an amazing sound – storytelling and punchlines all together as one. That makes us stand out more and be a better group than others in the game today. We’re not just one solo talent, we’re two different talents with different rap styles that blend perfectly together. We make music that will live on and that you can play forever. It never grows old.”

True Facts and Haze first got their start rapping in their neighborhood as young boys. Now, 14 years later, they have fully tapped into the potential that blossomed as young boys. And as their company name suggests, they rarely sleep because of how often they’re working. Sometimes they even sleep in the studio because of how dedicated they are to their craft.

“If I send him a beat, or vice versa, we’ll get on it right then,” Haze said. “We start collaborating and get together and start writing and by the time we get in the studio and lay it down it just comes out perfect. It isn’t hard for us to come together and lay something down because we’ve doing it for a long time and it’s just effortless at this point. If he’s got something, I already know it’s fire. He’s never let me down and I’m never gonna let him down. And when we bring all that together, it becomes a masterpiece.”
