Money Dron makes major life change and pours passion into music

SYRACUSE, NY – When Adronnice Collins was released from prison in 2017, he promised himself he was never going back. In-and-out of New York State’s penitentiary for most of his young life for crimes associated with drugs and violence, he knew that if he didn’t make a major change, his life would never get better.

And so he turned to music. He adopted the stage name Money Dron and started working on hard on developing a unique sound and style that would help him to stand out in a crowded music industry. In April 201, he released his debut album “Hustlers Ambition” and in the year since, he’s seen a steady increase of support and fan-following.

“It’s an album that’s a mixture of hip-hop and club songs,” he said. “It’s not an underground, hard-core album. It has a more up-to-date feel with the industry. It has rap, but it also has strip club songs and R&B songs on there. And the songs talk more about of my upbringing than anything else, as well as stories and experiences from my life and the things that led me to jail for hustling and things of that nature on the streets.”

The upcoming mixtape is called “Bangers.” It’s made for the streets and is a term well-known by people living and working on the streets.
“’Bangers’ is a word we use in my city for something good,” he said. “If something is dope or hot, that’s a Banger. This mixtape in and of itself is a Banger. It’s something you can ride around to or play back over and over because it gets you hyped.”

His single “Run it Up” Is a club song that works perfect for parties and has become so popular in the year since its release that it’s been spun on some shows in Canada and California, and is up for consideration with Ride Videos. At the end of the day, he said it’s a song that helps showcase that unique sound and style he’s been working so hard on for so long, and which he hopes will carve out a niche for him within the industry.

“My versatility really sets me apart from other artists,” he said. “I don’t sound like anybody else. I’ve been recording since I was 17 or 18 years old, though I never really took it serious. But after this last time in prison, I knew I had to do something serious. I’m tired of going back and forth to prison. I have to switch things up. This is more my grind and something I believe in. I don’t want to be a statistic and get caught up and do a long time in prison. And if I stick with this lifestyle, that’s what will happen. I got kids and I gotta be out here for them, and music is something I believe in. I have a story to tell and experiences I’ve been through, and music will be the thing that will save me from a lot of stuff I could be in.”

Yung Boi Fresh – One Time

Yung Boi Fresh overcomes life-and-death situation by launching new EP and music label

LAS VEGAS, NV – Dec. 28, 2015 was a life-changing moment for Courvoisier Carson.

Known professionally as Yung Boi Fresh, this young artist from the Bay Area of California was the victim of a violent shooting in San Francisco. He lost seven pints of blood and was on life support. Doctors told his mother that he probably wouldn’t make it … but he survived against all odds.

The experience was a motivational moment in his life, and he knew that it was time for him to follow his dream to make meaningful, heart-felt music. But first, he took a vacation to Las Vegas. While there, he began to envision himself performing under the bright lights and realizing his dream in big ways. It was such a powerful vision that he chose to relocate to Las Vegas and quickly began to pursue a career in music. He created his company, Yungstar Entertainment, and completed his first EP “Cold Summer/Hot Winter,” which is set to drop on March 8.

“With this project, I’ve created a wave called trap soul,” Yung Boi Fresh said. “I came from the bottom and this EP is all from my heart. It’s me showing off my own pattern of music while telling you what I’ve been through and grown up around. My sound is unorthodox – that’s the best way to explain it. When I say trap soul, it’s like a New Orleans bounce with a Bay Area dance feel, with a little bit of Philly thrown in. I’m gassing the beat and putting my heart and soul and feeling into it.”

Yung Boi Fresh started getting into music at age 18. He and his younger brothers grew up around Bay Area legends like Uno and Lil B. But instead of following in their footsteps, Yung Boi knew he had to do something different to make a name for him. So he started building a fan-base instead of a name – hosting events and serving as an emcee for some of the biggest DJs along the West Coast. Eventually, people began to reach out to him to host gigs and his name began to take off.

Along the way, he has developed a sound and style that has become well-known throughout his area. He’s also known for being an artist who encourages others to enjoy life, have fun and just be who they are and stop worrying about what other people think.

“Stop trying to live your life for somebody,” he said. “Be that great person you created yourself to be. My family has been the support system for me going harder in the music. They’re a real inspiration to me. People like Mac Dre and Kilo and Mr. Fab and Laroo and Mindmotion and IAmSu – those people have been so supportive of my craft and helping me find my own lane. And I want to encourage other people that way, too.”

Yung Boi said he hopes to eventually land more artists under his label and to really branch out in other ways within the music and entertainment industry. Until then, he said he’s eager for his new EP to get out to more listeners. The first single, “One Time,” is already out and ready for people to enjoy. He describes it as an R&B soul vibe that serves as a statement piece to the world that this is who he is and this is the kind of music you can expect from him going forward.

Muscle – Eyezlow Bo

Eyezlow Bo launches hot new EP ‘Space Mountain’

RACINE, WI – When people ask Desmond Crawford why he chose the stage name Eyezlow Bo, his answer always brings a smile to their face.

“I’m always ‘medicated,’ I guess,” he said. “And I’ve got a lot of smoke songs. When I started combining those things and doing what I do, I became Eyezlow Bo.”

Today, Eyezlow Bo is an up-and-coming artist from the Midwest whose Midwest sound is heavily influenced by the South. While growing up in Wisconsin and listening to Bone Thugs N Harmony and Twista, he was also bumping Three-Six Mafia and 8Ball. All of that combined with the musical influences his family brought to the table from their home town of Memphis, Tennessee. And that fusion has turned into the unique sound and style that he has become known for today … all of which is on full display with his new album, “Space Mountain.”

The nine-song album is all focused on his journey toward the top. It’s filled with good vibes, turn-up songs, and – true to his name and reputation – a lot of smoke songs. But more than anything it’s a project that lets people into his mind and explores stories and experiences from his life in ways that he hopes will connect with others.

“I think what sets me apart from a lot of others is my flow, my consistency and my work ethic,” he said. “I’ve been doing this since 1997 and I continue to invest in myself 20 years later. I’m trying to live this dream. I’m still here and I’m still consistent with my flow and I want to be known for my rapping ability. I kind of want to be like Wiz Khalifa or Cheech and Chong, but as more of a rapper. I’m not into mumble rap. I stay turnt up and keep the energy, but you gotta be able to rap too, when you’re doing that. And I do.”

The debut single from the new EP is a song called “Muscle.” He describes it as a “grind,” with lyrics that might at first be mistaken for a guy talking about drug addiction, but which are in truth, homage to the hustle that is his music. The very name of the song, he said, is an indication of the kind of work he’s willing to put in to get his music to the masses.

“I’m trying to hustle my music,” he said. “This is only the beginning. And with my new label, Cloudy Skiez Enterprize, I believe I have finally arrived.”

Silk Young – Day Dreams

Silk Young brings fresh take on neo-soul
with new singles ‘Day Dream’ and ‘Call Me’

LOS ANGELES, CA – Silk Young may be the newest voice on the block, but she is no stranger to music. Born of Nigerian descent and raised in Houston, Young has always had a knack for singing and dancing. In fact, it was dancing that brought her to Los Angeles in 2018. As a professional choreographer, she was scouting for dancers for a few of her clients. Along the way, her natural love and talent for making music took over and she found herself longing to make more and more songs.

In her words, “the music ended up finding me.”

“I play flute, among other instruments, and I got into a studio with a producer who needed a flute on a couple of beats he had done,” she explains. “When we were done I asked him if he worked on artist development. Little did I know that I didn’t really need any development. I’ve had a natural knack for writing ever since I was a kid – which has prepared me for songwriting. So when he played me the beat that first day for what would become my first single ‘Daydream,’ I sat down and wrote the song in 30 minutes. We put down a demo version, and I just couldn’t stop. I was in the studio three times a week, and after two weeks we had 13 songs. He asked me if I wanted to do this for real – to make a career out of it – and I said, ‘Hell yeah!’ I feel like I’m making some of the best music I’ve ever heard over the last decade. The sound is so seasoned and refined and organic, all in one. You couldn’t even name one artist who, at such an early stage, has been able to produce such a unique sound. It’s ahead of its time, but it also takes you back to that good feel when there was good soul on the radio.”

Silk Young may have only just begun her musical journey, but her sound is already seasoned nearly to perfection. Her voice has a deep richness to it, reminiscent of Toni Braxton. And her rapping style has hints of Lauryn Hill and Erykah Badu. She brings a fresh take on R&B in a way that will open new lanes for today’s music. Her raw talent and easy vibe combine into one artist who will be hard to forget.

Her first single, “Day Dreams,” was released Feb. 12 and is already getting rave reviews. It has a nostalgic vibe to it, with sounds that throwback to late 80s and early 90s soul. The melody is simultaneously fresh and refreshing. True to her flute roots, the song has some jazz influences, with a strong bass-line throughout.

“it’s a song about that lover, current or ex, who you can’t get out of your head,” Young said. “It starts out as being a daydream, but it keeps you up at night – you’re always drifting off into thoughts about that person, and they’re always on your mind.”

Young follows that up with her second single, “Call Me,” released on March 1. It’s a funky new take on neo-soul, with vibes reminiscent of D’Angelo or Voodoo. Fans who hear this song will recognize that Silk Young is on a mission to carve out her own lane.

“There’s nothing like it on the airwaves right now,” she said. “It’s such a refreshing sound. Whether you’re an R&B or a neo-soul lover, or a jazz lover, it’s gonna be a song that’s super nostalgic and will take you back – but with a fresh take on it. I’m carving out my own lane and trying to stay away from what’s current and going on in R&B right now. I’m creating my own space.”

Young will round out her trio of new releases with a third single called “Down To Ride,” sometime before the end of March. She said she’s also hard at work putting the finishing touches on a full album that she plans to drop by June.

Marvilus Brown Jr. – Dominate

Marvilus Brown Jr. hypes up the world with new single
‘Dominate’

HOUSTON, TX – Businessman. Musician. Philanthropist … Marvilus Marvin Brown Jr. is the total package. This Houston-based artist is a voice in the industry that needs to be heard, and his influence is spreading wider and wider as he continues to pursue a career that will motivate others to chase their dreams. His 14 years in the music and entertainment business have seen him ride the ups and downs of success – including more than 50,000 albums sold in 2014. And now he’s ready to dominate the industry again with his newest single, “Dominate.” The single is a self-described “comeback project,” that he says will serve as a statement to the world that though he’s taken a bit of a hiatus over the past couple of years, he’s back and better than ever.

“I’ve been releasing albums since 2010, and I had a good start but somewhere in the middle the business caught up to me and I wasn’t able to release a second project as widely as I wanted to,” he said. “This is my third project, and ‘Dominate’ is about coming back to dominate the industry. I’m looking to make a whale splash with my sound and old-school style. I have a look that’s unique. I have a few things to say within my music. And this song wraps all of those things up into a vibe that will get you hyped up. It’s like something a basketball team would play before a championship game.”

What started as an independent career eventually grew into something that caught the attention of some bigger labels, and in 2004 Marvilus moved to Los Angeles to work with William “Mickey” Stevenson, former vice president at Motown Records. He learned the business and started gaining some traction and a growing fanbase. His debut album “The President” sold more than 50,000 units. But his sophomore effort was shelved before it could be widely distributed. Discouraged, Marvilus returned to Houston and looked into other entertainment avenues. He found himself in video and film production, and was fortunate to produce a music video pilot show for Tiffany Haddish called “Malibu Countdown.” This experience gave him a real taste of the wider entertainment industry beyond music, and re-awakened his passion to leave a mark on the world by using his voice to influence others.

“I’m not trying to be someone who is too political or anything like that,” he said. “I want to give people a vision into why things are the way they are. Think outside the box. Understand that you can be many things. Even though I’m a rapper, I also own a moving business. At the end of the day you have to maximize your full potential and use everything you’ve been gifted with. If God gifted you with something and put a message in your heart, act on it – just act on your ideas and you’ll be successful. We all have great ideas, and money isn’t what’s stopping you from realizing those things. It’s you telling yourself, ‘No.’ I want to be a big brother of the business. I know I still have a lot to learn, but there are quite a few things I know about being an entrepreneur and this music industry, and I want to use that to help other people realize that they’re fully capable of more than just average. I’m living proof of that.”

“Dominate” is currently available across all digital distribution sites. It’s the first single off the
upcoming album “Destiny,” which is slated for a release in March. To listen to Marvilus’ music

Canadian Rapper Young Cristefer to Release EP “Edibles”

OTTAWA, CA – Canada may be experiencing freezing winter temperatures, but Cristefer Young-Hough is bringing the heat with his music. Coming out of Ottawa, he goes by Young Cristefer. It all started a few years ago when he fell in love with rap, thanks to the likes of Eminem and 50 Cent. Soon enough, the rapper found himself freestyling, and even wrote his first song called “Girls in Bed”.

More than anything, Young Cristefer has always wanted to be a big time rapper. Through other artist’s music he would listen to, he witnessed their success in rising to the top, and wanted to emulate that for himself one day. “I related to these rappers because I found I had something in common with them right off the bat. I haven’t always gotten along with my father, and some of my favorite rappers shared the similar experience. So, if they could do it, I knew I could as well,” said the artist. He’s all about writing meaningful lyrics that fans from anywhere in the world can relate to.

Through the past eight months, Young Cristefer really buckled down in his path to stardom. He has visions of being recognized for his work in the industry, and won’t stop until he achieves those goals. “For me, I’m into big drums and funky melodies. I have a pretty laid-back vibe, and I try my hardest not to be cliché in anything I do. My sound kind of mimics street poetry,” said the artist. This artistry is on full display in his latest single, “Pillsbury DB”, which is produced by Bruce Wayne. Since its release, everyone surrounding the rapper has been telling him what a banger the song is.

Up next, the artist is focusing on putting the finishing touches on his upcoming EP. The EP is called “Edibles”, and the artist tells us it will showcase his creativity in a whole different light. “I’ve got some stories to tell. The way I tell these stories sets me apart from anyone else out there. I may not be the world’s greatest rapper yet, but I’m confident I’m going to get there,” said Young Cristefer. Stay tuned!

Lil Kev – In My Bag

ME Blog, Music, Promo

Lil Kev leaves mark on hip-hop industry at only age 15

ALTOONA, IOWA – For as long as he can remember, Kevin Kennedy has wanted to make music and be a professional artist. As he’s grown up in the Midwest town of Altoona, Iowa, he’s often found himself visiting his uncle’s studio – watching closely as other artists record their music and gaining insider knowledge in how the industry works. With every new artist and song recorded in his uncle’s studio, Kevin would dream a little more.

At only age 15, Lil Kev is done waiting for his “some day” to get there. He’s ready to launch his career and show the world that he has lyrics and beats that are ready for the mainstream now. The release of his two new singles is just the beginning, he said. The first is a song called “In My Bag,” which he describes as a challenge to others to ignore the haters and keep pushing through to attain the dreams you want. It’s a more mellow song with a vibe that will be motivational to anyone who listens to it, he said.

The second song is “Lavish Life,” and he feels confident it’s the song that will put him on the map. It’s an upbeat song that shows off his work ethic and the dedication he brings to the craft.

“This is the kind of song that shows how hard I work and hopefully someday a label will recognize me,” he said. “Until that happens, I need to keep going hard. I have a unique sound. My shit is different. Everyone else tries to copy others, but I’m writing my lyrics different than what you hear anywhere else. It’s about my life and showing the world how I live. And I want to be known for being inspirational. If someone has put you down, don’t listen to them. Keep going up.”

Lil Kev’s big goal is to be the first hip-hop artist to come out of Iowa and make it big. His favorite artist today is NBA Young Boy, and he said he’s studied other big artists – especially Chief Keef, Lil Baby and Quando Rondo – to learn what they’ve done to be successful. He’s working with other producers, as well as his uncle, to refine his sound and find beats that will catch fans off-guard while giving them something catchy to listen to. And he writes all of his own lyrics – something he’s proud of for only being 15 years old.

“I’m just looking to make my dreams come true because I know I’m talented,” he said.
