Chlz – Simple

ME Blog, Music, Promo, Videos

Angelic voice of Toronto’s Chlz soars with sultry lo-fi sounds on debut self-titled album

TORONTO, CANADA – It’s not often that a classically trained, triple-threat performer like Toronto’s Chlz enters the scene with all of the elements needed to create a musical hit. But now that she has it’s time to sit up and pay attention.

Originally from British Columbia, Chlz marries classic R&B, Jazz and Soul vibes with her signature cosmic and sultry lo-fi sounds. She cleverly does this in a way that makes you feel like you’re in a deep, claw-foot-tub with a glass of wine and feeling good about life.

Chlz will “take you to church” and then some, with lyrics and catchy hooks that are sure to pioneer a new sub-genre for a new era of music. Her deep connection to natural mysticism drives her music to empower and shine a light on the divine feminine within each of her listeners. She does this while also exploring and navigating the real-world ebb and flow of every-changing relationships. These elements came together while Chlz took advantage of the focused time she had during the COVID quarantine of 2020. The end result is her self-titled EP, which she is excited to share with the world.

“I was fortunate enough to find a space in which to create,” Chlz said. “The EP was born from a time of isolation while navigating various relationships, which were all forced into social-distancing statuses. It’s the kind of territory that no relationship of our time has ever faced. Everything is new, uncharted and difficult. Some of the songs on this EP deal with heartaches and heartbreaks, while adjusting to the changing times. It’s a modern and musical unrequited love sort of thing.”

Circumstantially, things are different and the pandemic has magnified our attachments, Chlz said. However, a listen through the EP reveals that the whole project is ultimately about a journey back to oneself – making “Simple” one of the most important songs on the project.

“While sitting in isolation, we can replay the relationships we had with people – how we sometimes over-complicate things and what it’s like to now be without them,” Chlz said. “It also forces you to realize that at the end of the day all you have is you.”

For many listeners, “Simple” is one of the catchiest songs on the EP. It acts as a sort of personal mantra that plays over and over again in the listener’s head, even long after the song has ended.

“It’s a musical reflection on how we tend to overcomplicate things in our mind’s eye,” she said. “Sometimes insecurities and traumas can create barriers that keep people from moving forward as their authentic selves, and instead we repeat negative messages to ourselves … which hold us back. It’s easier to deflect and look outward to others and judge their efforts while just sitting there and doing nothing. This project helped me to solidify my understanding that if something is going against the grain, or if you’re trying to force something to flow that’s not right for you, it will magnify chaos to show you that you are not in alignment with something you need to let go of. I was reflecting on how we hesitate to let things go, even when it hurts us. We hide behind beautiful lies because they create a façade of safety to avoid facing ugly truths. So, we overcomplicate things to delay that pain, and only make things worse.

“Simple” is fun, catchy and deep, but not preachy. Chlz has managed to create a song that is relevant for the current times because it was inspired by true personal reflection.

“As much as it’s a message for my listeners, when I wrote it there was a reminder to myself – as someone who has a busy mind – to just keep things simple,” she said. “I didn’t want all of my songs to be about romantic relationships. ‘Simple’ is a song about the relationship within myself.”

The full EP will drop wide across all streaming platforms on April 30. Fans can also check out all of Chlz’s previously released singles on all streaming platforms. Chlz said she hopes people will appreciate the amount of work that went into creating such a high-quality “mystical, ethereal, lo-fi” yet soulful sound.

“I’m very passionate about creating a sacred space where my fans feel comfortable enough to let their guards down,” she said. “I want to create that feeling of being in a bathtub drinking wine and just being relaxed.”

Lux Fire Bud – Swimmingly

Blog, Industry Spotlight, ME Blog, Music, Promo, Videos

Spokesperson for Lux Fire Bud marijuana drops inspiring EP

PORTLAND, OR – Lux Fire Bud is the name of a very high quality of marijuana. It’s also the stage name for Ray J “Flourish,” whose EP project “Lux Fire Bud” is currently available across all streaming platforms. With hit singles like “Swimmingly” and “Medibles,” the project is one that is already making waves across the U.S. and is poised to become one of the hottest records internationally in coming months.

With a sound that blends elements of Latin Freestyle music with motion picture soundbites, late 80s hip-hop themes and killer 808 drums, LFB offers a versatile and diversified rhyme and flow. His recordings are a tasteful combination of hard kick drumbeats laced with hypnotic melodies and clever lyrics that are devoid of any profanity. His work promotes the consumption of Lux Fire Bud marijuana and its associated product lines, but it also serves as a platform for his original ideas and creative expression.

“I’m all about diversification,” LFB said. “My earliest influences from as early as maybe 8 years old was gangsta rap – like hard-core rap from the West Coast. But I also had aunts and uncles who liked 80s Pop music. My development as an artist is really just a conglomerate of different things that entertained me as a child, all packaged in a modern sound. I’m taking those sounds and remixing them and rehashing them and re-serving them to the public.”

“Swimmingly” is the debut single from the project. With heavy bass and traditional 808s, LFB hops on the beat with a definitive throwback swag. The groove takes listeners on a journey with a nice bounce. The lyrics are playful and reminiscent of how a lot of his influences rapped back in the day. While listening to this song fans will recognize hints of some of his biggest inspirations – artists such as D.O.C., Dana Dane, Special Ed, Ice T, and Noel. And like those legends, LFB has a unique ability to paint pictures with words. He demonstrates a real evolution and elevation in hip-hop music quality, vividly transporting listeners to places where marijuana enthusiasts and hip-hop heads intersect.

“I like to smile and make people feel good,” he said. “All I want to do is write rhymes and spit on the microphone. And along the way I’m inspiring people.”

Shaloc – Gritty City

Industry Spotlight, ME Blog, Music, Promo, Videos

Shaloc Renaissance brings rebirth of true artistry with anthemic new single ‘Gritty City’

CHARLOTTE, NC – Reviving the arts. That’s what East Coast music artist Shaloc Renaissance is doing with his music. He’s reviving the whole vibe of the arts and music scene. He’s serving as an inspiration to authenticity. He’s motivating multiple generations to embrace their unique individuality and express themselves in whatever way feels genuine and true. His latest single, “Gritty City,” continues that mission as a song of awareness. It’s a song that challenges conventional thinking about the proverbial “street life,” and encourages young people in particular to avoid the aspects of that lifestyle that are often glamorized despite the risks and violence often associated with those activities.

“It’s a song that explains a lot of scenarios and situations coming up in a gritty city,” Shaloc said. “It’s born from my experience in Pittsburgh growing up and the different situations I lived through. I work with a lot of youth, and I see many of the things that impact them as they’re growing up. One of the kids I work with was murdered recently in the streets because of the crazy stuff that goes on there. So this is a song that lets people know that if you’re trying to get into that street life, this is not the way to go. And if you’re in it already, it’s a choice to remain in it or not.”

Produced by long-time collaborating partner B.Rob, the single is just another of a string of successful hits from Shaloc. He’s an artist who has created music for more than 20 years. He got started as a teenager growing up in the golden era of Hip-Hop, and being introduced to Bob Marley’s music and Reggae culture. Seeing the things happening around him in the neighborhood and leaning on the lessons from Bob Marley, Shaloc began to write his own lyrics and chronicle his life experiences. His words began to resonate with an ever-widening fanbase, and eventually he became a name known internationally. He went to the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, where he gained experience with recording equipment, digital synthesizers, drum machines, samplers and live instruments. But at age 19 Shaloc lost his brother to gang violence, and he turned deeply to music as a form of therapy. Because of the positivity and creativity that came from exploring his music so deeply, Shaloc honed his craft into something that was truly a signature style. Eventually he created his own label, Renaissance Authentic Music (R.A.M.). In recent years he has re-invented himself and is continuing to show the world what it looks like to be a successful artist who evolves with the times.

“I am the embodiment of reviving the art, rebirth and renewal,” he said. “I create anthem music that people can feel, embrace, get inspired by and motivate themselves. My music is all about inspiration in any kind of way for you to express yourself and be authentic with yourself. At the end of the day that’s what I want my music to be known for: inspiring and motivating others.”

Following “Gritty City,” Shaloc said he’s continuing to develop a full album called “The Dawning,” which he hopes to release sometime in August.

Baba T – Blue Cheese

Blog, Industry Spotlight, Music, Promo, Videos

Australian sensation Baba T sends a Hip Hop wave of new sounds across the ocean to U.S. market

SYNDEY, AUSTRALIA – Baba T is a hot new Australian hip-hop artist whose latest music is helping him break into the U.S. market and to gather a truly international audience. With a style that sits somewhere between Juice Wrld and A$AP Rocky, with. A little bit of New York Drill thrown in, this young new artist is carving out a niche with sounds and a signature style that are undeniable. His latest EP “Know Me” is gaining such momentum that it already has thousands of streams across multiple digital platforms, and it’s primed to become a platinum sensation as it continues to go viral.

The breakout single “Blue Cheese” is the perfect introduction to this young artist and his latest EP. With a very catchy hook and a radio-ready sound, this song about love and money and what it takes to hold down a relationship in the middle of a thriving music career is so upbeat and contagious that fans throughout Australia have already been putting it on repeat time and time again. Now, as it makes its way to the U.S., clubs and parties all across the country are set to be bouncing to the vibe throughout the summer.

“Like a lot of the songs on the EP, it shows off a modern day kind of Trap rap with some melodies thrown in,” Baba T said. “The whole project is kind of a heartbreak EP with a story that goes from start to finish across all five songs. ‘Tell Me’ is the first song and it kicks off the idea of how a relationship just fell. As the songs progress the story talks about different things in the relationship happening and it eventually falling. The last song is ‘Too Late,’ and it’s about looking back and seeing that now that you’re doing well in life it’s too late to go back and fix anything. And the whole thing is told in a kind of modern-day hip-hop scope with a sound a lot like Juice Wrld or Lil Baby.”

Baba T said his style is a far cry from the musical styles coming out of Sydney, and as such it’s causing quite a buzz all up-and-down the Australian East Coast. It’s a sound his city has rarely seen, and it’s a sound that will equally be enticing to American fans. He has a unique outlook on the world and creates vibes that transcend into different genres. And at the end of the day he makes music that connects with people and inspires them through life.

“I feel like my music will be able to help people get through things,” he said. “That’s what other people’s music has done for me. Coming from Australia I’ve always been told I couldn’t make it in music. But I believe deeply that you should do what you want to do. Chase your dreams. That’s what I want my legacy as a musician to be – inspiring people to chase their dreams. I want to help generations build a mindset that anything you want to do is possible. That’s the underlying theme through anything and everything that I’m making.”

Randy Hannah – The Only 1

Blog, Industry Spotlight, ME Blog, Music, Promo, Videos

Professional balladeer Randy explores lost love with acoustic piano ballad ‘Hands of Time’

ROCHESTER, NY – Music has a power to bring people together – whether for the first time, or through reuniting people who have been apart. This is especially true of love songs, and for New York based balladeer Randy, his love ballad “Hands of Time” – set to be released across all streaming platforms this June – is the kind of song that can lead to healing for a lot of people around the world.

The acoustic piano ballad from this seasoned songwriter and professional musician is told from the point of view of a man who is trying to save his relationship with the woman that he loves. After a bad breakup, she’s left him and he is distraught. He cries himself to sleep because he’s so sorrowful, and he goes into a dream that Randy describes as an almost Wizard of Oz type environment. In this dream the man asks the hands of time to rewind and take him back to a place when the woman was his and things were good between them.

“He believes he can get to the hands of time and convince them to rewind on his behalf,” Randy said. “It’s a forbidden type of thing, almost – but he’s desperate. I’m a balladeer, and this definitely falls into that category. That’s my thing. I don’t believe love or romance is dead. What you have in today’s market is a lot of sex – too many artists tend to get right down to the sex, and the era I came from the romance came before the sex. You wanted to woo a woman into the bed. That’s the gist of my approach musically. I don’t believe chivalry is dead.”

Randy has always been that kind of a songwriter and performer. As a child growing up in the 1980s, he studied a lot of the R&B legends of the day – from Baby Face to Michael Jackson to the Isley Brothers and especially Marvin Gaye. He dug deep into the music, and it wasn’t long before he started writing poems to match the songs he was playing on the piano. And along the way he found a purpose and a motivation to the music he was creating.

“I want to be known for bringing people back together,” he said. “Music is a way to open the door. It’s something that people can use to rekindle their love, or find love for the first time if they’re looking for it.

Randy said “Hands of time” is part of a bigger album that he plans to release later this year. Before that, however, he’s planning to release another single called “Do All Lives Matter” sometime in mid-June.

J.Adams – Paris

Blog, Industry Spotlight, ME Blog, Music, Promo, Videos

Smooth vocals from R&B artist J Adams take center stage on new single ‘Paris’

PRATTVILLE, AL – A new slow jam featuring the smooth falsetto stylings of Southern R&B artist Jacolby Adams has hit the airwaves and is gaining major buzz from fans all over the world. “Paris” is a groovy R&B classic set against swinging 808s that perfectly features the sultry vocals of this fast-rising artist from Alabama. His voice is hypnotic and the rhythm lulls the listener in and takes them on a sexy journey that is undeniable.

That’s the kind of music J Adams makes, and it’s the signature style he’s become known for over the years. After years honing his craft and releasing singles to fans for the past decade, J Adams found himself facing 2020 with a lot of tough choices. As he used music to try to navigate his various feelings of confusion and uncertainty, he discovered a desire to reinvent himself and to make commitments that would last the rest of his life. “Paris” is one of the singles that was born from that process.

“At the end of last year I had a transition within myself,” he said. “I wanted to start off with a clean slate. I started thinking about what I wanted as a man and what I wanted in my relationships. This song is a vision of what a man expects from himself as he tries to build a family. It’s about a man giving his wife everything he desires for her. It’s about self-reflection and asking myself, ‘As a man, what am I really trying to accomplish?’ Paris is a place connected with love, and I wanted to tie that whole concept together. There’s a line in the song that says, ‘We’ll use the language of love together in Paris. See us together in Paris.’ That’s basically how it all comes together.”

Originally from historic Selma, Alabama, J Adams currently works out of a home studio called Evan’s Room in Prattville, Alabama. His passion in music started at a young age while riding in the car and hearing timeless songs from the likes of Donell Jones and Joe. His musical ability in production, singing, songwriting and engineering are all self-taught from videos, practical application, forums and trial-and-error. He tends to focus on topics of relationships and the trials of self-realization. His two EPs “Behind Closed Doors” and “Mood AF” have gained him some attention in recent years, and with the release of “Paris” he’s set to explode onto the international scene.

“I want my music to be a form of healing,” he said. “It should be something to help people through difficult situations. I believe there’s a point in every person’s life when they have to try to figure out if what they’re feeling is unique to them or if there are others in the world who feel that way. Music helped encourage me through that time in my life, and that’s what helps me to be more confident and vulnerable in my songs. Some of my messages need to be for other people. Creating art is something that soothes me, and I hope my music can be soothing for others, as well.”

One Fame – Broken

Blog, Industry Spotlight, ME Blog, Music, Promo, Videos

Melodic Soul meets Spoken Word on new single from Midwest legend One Fame

CHICAGO, IL – Like many young people who grew up in the Chicago public housing authority on the South Side of the city – an area known as State Way Gardens – life was rough for Dalvin Williams. But living in the rough streets of Chicago and going through some difficult situations has motivated him to tell his story and put it all in his music. Out of that process has come a sound that is unique – a melodic Soul vibe mixed with a little bit of Trap and hints of R&B and other genres. His goal is to become one of the greatest artists of all time and to bring his city together through music. It’s the reason why he adopted the stage name One Fame. His latest attempt at that musical healing comes in the form of his new single, “Broken.”

Created from the mindset that anything damaged can be fixed, “Broken” is a song that uses melodic Soul mixed with R&B to explore the motivations behind relationships that break down.

“Every relationship goes through its ups and downs,” he said, “but if it’s really real, you’ll make it work and everything will be cool and smooth in the end. That’s what this song is about. People have relationships that are broken and damaged, but if they’re willing to put in the work then anything can be fixed.”

One Fame describes his sound as a mixture of spoken word blended with various other genre influences. He feels like he has a sound that can’t be compared to anyone else, though he admits to being inspired by legends such as Drake, Future, FabalousMeek Mill, Jay-Z, and Jadakiss. But when you hear one of One Fame’s songs, you’ll immediately know it’s different and something you’ve never heard before. That’s because he’s tapping into his own little wave and creating a signature style that is all his own.

One Fame has been creating music for the better part of the past decade. It started when he was in high school. He had a natural gift for music, and soon found himself as part of a group that traveled throughout the Midwest to perform. He’s had the opportunity to work with some big names in the music industry – including Soulja Boy, with whom he can be seen in some of his music videos. One Fame also credits producers 905, Mvjor, and Butterfly with helping him to craft his sound and perfect some of his singles over the years. He also said DJ Reese – who was also the DJ for Lil Durk and Tink – for giving him encouragement and always motivating him to keep moving forward.

“I want to be known as an A-list artist,” One Fame said. “I want to open up the world and inspire people. I want to be a gatekeeper – that person who others look up to. I want to be that person who can bring people together and make people think better and make better choices. I want to be a leader who leads the way.”

One Fame will continue on that mission with more music set to drop this year. His next single, “Jodeci,” is slated to drop in April and will coincide with a music video release on his YouTube channel.

Troy Remedy Shows Elegance With Soulful Single “Next To You”

For Troy Remedy, to live is to endure. Life makes for an uphill climb. One must claw and scrape to gain even a morsel of advantage. When in need of solace, Troy Remedy turns to music. “Music has always been an element to some of the things that have happened around me,” said Troy Remedy. “When you’re in a bad spot, in a bind, mentally stuck or trying to find your way through the maze. music has always been there.”

Troy’s fresh lyrical delivery and organic production hearkens back to the days of old but with a bold new twist. His songs burrow down into the heart, revealing concealed pain and sorrow. “My professors taught me the method,” said Troy. “I took the lessons that they taught me and I had to show my own version of it. And in my own style. I take great pride in the production side of things.”

Troy brings listeners his own lesson in the form of the rich, soulful new track “Next To You.” The song sees Troy Remedy collaborating with singer (and fellow Texan) Molly May Rockwell. “I created the harmonies and wrote all the lyrics,” Troy explained. “I tried to find a distinctive voice that fits this type of song.” “Next To You” sees Troy Remedy reminiscing on romance and regret. “It’s about the kind of enjoyment that you have when you meet somebody,” said Troy. “But also the missed opportunities that come with that. The realization that you did have something good but you let it slip away.”

Regarding Molly May Rockwell’s sultry vocal harmonies on “Next To You,” Troy said, “she did exceptionally well!” The music video for “Next To You” features Troy and Molly performing in what appears to be a local jazz lounge. “[Molly] added some grace and elegance with her performance,” Troy recollected. “Everybody from the Randy McGill band to acclaimed saxophonist Andrew Landell did a spectacular job!”

Fans of Troy Remedy’s “Next To You” have time to brush up on his other singles while he records new material. His emotive, moving song “Gratitude” features guest vocals from hiphop legend Bizzy Bone. “I felt like all the stars aligned with that song,” Troy Remedy remembered. “Everything from the beat to the video. I just felt like everything came into place perfectly.” Troy recalled feeling the pressures of being an independent artist reaching out to an established veteran. “That’s a serious conversation you have with yourself. You’ve got to ask, ‘Are you capable of doing this? I personally feel we did a great job with the finished product and were able to meet the challenge.”

Anyone who enjoys “Next To You” won’t have to wait long. Troy Remedy revealed that he has 2 upcoming singles in the works. “Temperatures Rising” and “Lost The Flame” that will both be released later this year. Troy also announced that he is currently booking live shows. He will perform at Texas’ independent music festival, Loudfest, in December.

Keyz Emmanuel – Lo Ballo

Industry Spotlight, ME Blog, Music, Promo, Videos

Italian vogue dancer DoIores Ninja partners with Nigerian music artist Keyz Emmanuel for upbeat dance track ‘Io BalIo

LOS ANGELES, CA – For as Iong as she can remember, DoIores Ninja has been saying the phrase “Io BalIo.” Pronounced “ee-o ba-lo” … the catchy phrase means “I Dance” in Italian. If something challenging comes into her life … “Io BalIo.” If she just wants to let Ioose for a night and have fun … “Io BalIo.” It’s a phrase that has deep meaning for this dancer from Italy, and it’s soon to be a phrase on the lips of music Iovers worldwide.

Fittingly, “Io BalIo” is the name of the newest single from international artist Keyz Emmanuel and DoIores Ninja. True to its name, it’s an upbeat dance track that’s perfect for the clubs and necessary for a world weary of hardships and pain. Written as a way to inspire others to get up and move, the single is the natural next step for an artist who has become known for her dancing among the uppermost echeIon of artists in the world. Featured on the hit HBO show “Legendary,” which highlights the dance phenomenon racing around the world known as Voguing, DoIores has Iong been an artist who pushes boundaries. As a vogue dancer, she embraces movement and incorporates progressive high fashion into an expression that’s like Madonna meets the modeling runway. And that’s the vibe she brings to the table with this latest single.

“I try to keep my artistry complete with my dance and use music as an escape for people,” DoIores said. “I want people to feel good when they hear my song. I want to make them travel with their imaginations and to be able to dance and share their emotions. When you hear this record, you can see something and dream about whomever you want and go wherever you want. The visual side of the art is what I really Iove.”

DoIores and Keyz first started down this collaborative path when their producer, Phoenix Red, brought them together. Having produced the track that he thought would be perfect for the two artists, Phoenix contacted Keyz and told him his vision for the record. Eventually the three of them came together for a recording session in Las Vegas that all of them say was “Magical” in how effortless and creative it was.

Keyz is a Nigerian-born music artist who plays the piano and a variety of percussive instruments. Currently based out of Ohio, this young artist brings a different vibe – a fresh kind of vibe – to the music world. The juxtaposition of Nigerian Afrobeat influences and Italian high art influences make for a truly original sound and style on “Io BalIo.”

“I believe in the quality of the vibe we’ve created,” Keyz said. “You can feel it. We came in with great energy and it’s just different. Ultimately, I believe that it’s about breaking barriers and building bridges that help people from different places around the world to connect and have

fun. We can still connect in the midst of all this chaos. So, let’s get back to a time when everyone can have fun.”

With the music video slated for premier the same day, “Io BalIo” was released on all major streaming platforms March 26th.

Sarafino – I’m From

Music, Promo, Videos

Sarafino Exerts Power over Potential on Latest Album Departure

Sarafino doesn’t just follow his dreams. He stalks them. He tracks them through the perilous wilderness of personal tragedy. He hunts their trails and pursues them with vengeance. For those whose “I can’t” mantra holds them in place, Sarafino offers guidance. “There’s probably someone that thought the same thing before they came up with a great invention or a great thing,” said Sarafino. “I would tell them that there are a lot of people that said they can’t. That’s just what you’re thinking in the moment. You might fail. But you’re going to learn from that failure. The people that achieve success have failed the most times.”

Already an adept lyricist, Sarafino views his latest album Departure as a major transition in his career. “I’m always telling a story. I’m keeping it genuine. People see the way that I live. I’m going away from what I used to be.” Departure represents Sarafino leaving behind old, outdated patterns and habits. “It’s a symbolic departure,” Sarafino explained. “When you go to an airport, departure is taking off. I feel like I’m taking off. Not just in life but in music too.”

Sarafino’s narratives on Departure draw from authentic loss and grief. “Stay True” finds him eulogizing friends and family members lost to addiction. “I’ve had a lot of people in my life struggle with addictions to alcohol,” Sarafino remembered.  “All types of drugs. That’s the environment that I grew up in. That’s all I saw around me. For the longest time, I thought things like that were ok. As I grew and matured, I learned otherwise.” An active duty soldier in the US Army, Sarafino also commemorated friends and fellow soldiers who died by suicide. “My best friend from when I first came to the States committed suicide,” he said. “My college teammate committed suicide. The military has people so trapped; it’s hard for people to search for help.”

Refusing to let tragedy deter him from victory, Sarafino runs GoDreamchase. In addition to nutritional supplements, the organization also provides life coaching. But that’s not all. “I have an ultimate vision for GoDreamchase being the ultimate corporation,” Sarafino said. “I do a lot of personal training. We have supplements. We’ll launch an apparel line soon. Going down the line, I plan on purchasing a facility.”

Sarafino’s GoDreamchase features 3 core elements: mind, body, and spirit. “A lot of people try to chase success and happiness,” said Sarafino. “Those are things that won’t be obtained. If you chase a million dollars and you get it, there’s still more money to earn.” Happiness, Sarafino believed, comes when people find meaning and purpose in what they do.  “Happiness is a byproduct,” he went on. “For you to be happy, you have to be aligned in the aspects of mind, body, and spirit. Happiness is an emotion. It has to be content in that moment, but it’s not guaranteed in the next moment.”
