Who Is C Glizzy?

Blog, Industry Spotlight, ME Blog, Music, Promo, Videos

C. Glizzy is a South Florida rapper who made headlines in 2021 after being shot in his eye (Complex, Hip-Hop Dx, Heavy). C Glizzy is also well known for his relationship with the late XXXtentacion, as well for his debut project called Numb the Pain in April 2019. This tragic situation would have ended the average persons career, but Glizzy came back with a new focus on life and a renewed energy with his music. Now, to keep his momentum going, Glizzy preps his new single titled “Six & Glizzy” featuring Foolio. The record and video are available across all digital streaming platforms.

The amount of talent to come out of Florida in recent years has been quite impressive, especially with the assistance of the internet and social media. The distinctive Florida bounce has been hard to miss following the tone set in the 90’s from the likes of Trina and Trick Daddy. Newcomers, such as rap artist C Glizzy who comes from Pompano Beach, Florida, is adding to this soundscape while also bringing a fresh new perspective to the industry.

What’s most impressive about C Glizzy’s artistry is his ability to deliver a sound that is raw and uncut but has fans still bobbing their heads along to it. His most recent project Numb the Pain is a prime example of this, which makes it hard to believe that he’s only been rapping professionally for under three years. He talks about the experience he faced after getting shot in the head, which gave him not only a new focus on life, but a renewed energy for his music. C Glizzy, whose birth name is Christian Moore, draws a lot of inspiration from rappers like DMX, Chief Keef, and 2 Pac who found their own ways of expressing their pain through music.

The young rapper notes the importance of having a plan and following it through. “If you gone be out here in the world, don’t be half stepping,” he explains. “You better have a plan.” His plan to take over the industry is in full motion with him already opening for charting artists like Polo G, Lil Tecca, Smokepurpp, and Lil Mosey. While he’s been able to perform across the nation, Florida is still true to his heart and he’s preparing to release an EP titled Florida Boyz with an intent to bring together the hottest up and coming artists out of Florida.

“Do Em Wrong” Official Music Video
Kaboom Holy ft. Julio Foolio & Money Man Loot

For “Do Em Wrong”, Party Pack representer Kaboom Holy elicits the help of collaborators Julio Foolio and Money Man Loot. The song itself is aggressive and might make you want to put your guard up! With a grungy, homegrown visual to match – this offering is not about the theatrics as much as it’s made to get a point across. “Do Em Wrong” definitely makes a statement – one that says these three are not the ones to play with.
Scattered graphics flit across the screen, and the camera captures unique, unexpected angles contributing to a feeling of controlled chaos brought out by Kaboom and friends. For fans of the
floss, the ice does not disappoint – each rapper donning shimmering adornments and coordinating trademark grills as he spits his piece.

As the visual opens up, Julio Foolio makes quick work of his lead position in the song’s lineup. He jumps right in with two feet, setting the tone with back-and-forth rhymes that lay the groundwork for a potent listening experience. Foolio delivers confrontational stanzas with flows that have the bounce to tie up his lyrics in a bow.

Kaboom’s trademark voice, likely recognizable even from space, enters in behind Foolio urging, “I got that sh*t that gets you upset!” Freeform locs swinging, his spirited emergence brings about even more aggression, more gun bars, more reasons not to get too comfortable in your seat. His plays on words and sheer mastery of his vocal are what both shock and draw one in. The hook
Kaboom offers hits hard and not only burrows like a vicious earworm; it also ties together his compadres’ verses.

Enter: Money Man Loot – the rapper with the gravelly voice, high-energy and blonde/green silhouette. With a no-manners approach, Loot presents volatile lines that do the term “Grand Finale” justice. It’s also in this scene that viewers are magnetized with double-exposed images of all the money, jewels and fashion one would expect from a team such as this.

All in all, “Do Em Wrong” captures the embodiment of a hood-rich rampage. The video was shot and directed by Charlotte-based company, The A.V.E. Productions, and just released in conjunction with the new single, produced by Loaf Boy Nick. Check out this, and all of Kaboom Holy’s content via his social handles and links.
