J Star Balla is the newest face of drill the older brother of viral artists DD Osama, the upcoming Harlem, NY drill artist has been making waves in the underground rap scene with his gritty and authentic sound. Growing up in the rough streets of Harlem, he developed a passion for music as a means of self-expression and escape from the harsh realities of his environment.

Drawing inspiration from the likes of 50 Cent, Nas, and Jay-Z, he began honing his craft as a rapper and songwriter, developing a signature style that blends hard-hitting beats with raw, introspective lyrics that speak to the struggles and triumphs of life in the inner city.
In recent years, he has gained a following on social media and streaming platforms with a series of viral freestyles and collaborations with fellow drill music artists. Golden Animal age 22, hails from Pompano Beach, FL born on May 15th 1999. Growing up in Pompano Beach FL, he experienced the good, the bad and the ugly of the city. Ambitious and unturned he found himself moving from school to school as he struggled in and out of juvenile detention. While his mother and him are very close now that wasn’t always the case for him and his siblings. Golden is the second youngest of 9 children. He recalls being separated from his mother at an early age which led him down the same path many youth trail down when they experience a traumatic childhood experience being taken away from their parents. Rather than continue down the same path as most young men his age he turned his anger into verses, politics into poetry, and reshaped and rebranded his life with music.

 
Music for him is an outlet and form of expression where he can release the good days and the bad days on a track. His message is very clear. He portrays his reality in his music. He wants other upcoming rappers to know when it comes to the music there are really ones living the music we dance to that make us all feel just a tad bit gangster. While it’s a good time for most listeners it’s Golden’s reality. His music showcases his own personal experiences. Golden admires and relates closely to the rapper Boosie and Future. Boosie embodies everything Golden stands for down to Boosie’s Fade. Future’s lyrical content lands him as the second rapper Golden respects and strives to work with.
 
When Golden isn’t working in the studio you can find him making up for lost time with his brothers, sisters, his daughter, and his mom. He is no stranger to pain and violence. The young rapper has lost at least 85% of the people that he knows due to gun violence. He considers himself the last one standing. If he could speak to people growing up the same way he did in and out of foster homes, he would encourage them to focus on their money and cut everything else out. Golden strongly believes that women and friends won’t support only finances should be valued. He certainly has a reason to feel this way having watched his brother die at age 24 and never have any kids, or really get to experience life.
 
So what is the motivation for someone like Golden? He is motivated simply by waking up everyday and being able to go to the studio and express himself. He has a lady in his life but she shall remain nameless as he wants to keep his love life private. He is also motivated by money, which is also the name of his label. He started a label before but didn’t know about copyrighting and learned some valuable lessons. He is now rebranding and rebuilding. Golden aspires to work with Future, Adele, Taylor Swift and every other artist from A to Z . He wants to experience all genres, and get his music overseas. The young entrepreneur is very interested in acting and modeling as long as he doesn’t have to dye his hair. Dying hair will be the last of this young successful rap star’s concerns. He has the ear of the streets and the support of an empire. Follow him now, not later!

Chicago artist Young Dashawn releases his latest single ‘Shake Dat’

Chicago-based artist Young Dashawn has recently released a new single titled “Shake Dat” produced by Hazimake. The song was released on November 18th, 2022, and has already been making waves on social media.
The motivation behind this song was to showcase his versatility as an artist. Young Dashawn believes that being able to switch up styles and vibes is essential in the music industry. He wanted to experiment with a sound that is different from his previous releases to see how it would be received by the industry and his fans.

You might think Los Angeles, California is a long way from Iowa City, Iowa. But for Iowa City artist Benny the Jet, these two cities made him who he is today. Born in LA, he moved at a young age to Iowa. But for this adopted kid, growing up as an only child was far from the spoiled lifestyle you would think this Midwesterner would have.  

Having lost his dad at an early age, Benny the Jet found comfort dealing with the racism and discrimination of growing up as a biracial adopted kid in the fields of Iowa through music and sports. His name “Benny the Jet” coming from running track as a kid and being fast like a “Jet”, the name stuck, and he decided to keep the name as he began his music career.  

As young as Benny the Jet is, his musical soul is old with inspiration coming from artists like Michael Jackson, Tupac, Kanye West, and Childish Gambino, which for this very young 20 something year old, you can see he’s mature beyond his years. Blessed to have worked with artists he call friends such as popular independent artists Futuristic and Lex Bratcher, he hopes to learn from their success and build his own independent career. Having signed to Midwest DJ, DJ K Yung as his manager and hiring long time friend and someone he considers a brother as his road manager, Brett “Bert” Johnson, he feels this year in 2023 is the turning point of his career. He is currently working on his first ever major release, a 5 song yet to be titled EP. Having released singles before working with DJ K Yung and Bert Johnson he hopes this mentorship will bring a new sound and path to his career.

DJ Vudu Spellz chart-topping produced song “Georgia”, performed by Ludacris and Jamie Foxx, was nominated for best hip-hop collaboration at the 2007 Grammy Awards. DJ Vudu Spellz also has production and writer’s credits on Ludacris’ “Release Therapy” album that won a Grammy for “Best Rap Album Of The Year” at the 2007 Grammy Awards.

DJ Vudu Spellz has produced numerous #1 billboard chart-topping albums and has been blessed to receive two (2) platinum plaques in his first official year as a freshman in the recording industry.

DJ Vudu Spellz has been producing and recording since 1994 but some of DJ Vudu Spellz’s recent NRA projects include Ludacris, Jamie Foxx, Chingy, R.Kelly, Do Or Die, Shawnna, Reuben Studdard, Montell Jordan, Cece Peniston and a host of others. DJ Vudu Spellz gets his name from the original word Voodoo which is perceived to be negative. Vudu changed the spelling and put a twist on it with his new definition: “controlling my audience in a positive way through my music, therefore putting a Vudu Spellz on them”.

Joe West Drops New Banger Title “HIM”

Traveling from West Africa, to West of Senegal, and landing in West Harlem, let’s meet the musical phenom JOE WEST!

Born in Harlem Ny, by way of Senegales parents, Joe West did his best to be a good role model and assist his parents in raising his younger siblings. From being a class clown to being bullied for being African and annoying, Joe learned how to play basketball as a way to make friends and gain respect in his neighborhood. Right after graduating college with a Marketing and Public Relations degree, Joe was faced with the fact he had a change of feelings about his life journey. His truth was he really wanted to pursue music and fashion even though his parents strongly disagreed with him. “I survived the Digital Era, Hyper Globalization, Covid and losing my girl. I knew I had so much to prove,” said Joe.

Joe West started freestyling, writing songs, and breaking fears of creating music and content in the spring of 2016. Being influenced by Mos Def, Dave East, Joey Badass, and Tyler The Creator, helped him to become multidimensional. Being able to sit and digest his feelings is what helps him express experiences he has dealt with in his life. Joe West was discovered and signed by Akademy Records CEO Corte Ellis. “Ina Nicolee played me a song she is featured on and that how I heard Joe’s tone and delivery, and I knew I never heard anything like him before,” stated Corte Ellis. DJ Webstsr introduced the two and shortly after, Akademy partnered with UPtown/Republic records and that shocked and relieved Joe’s parents that he created a lane by himself without their blessings.

There are a few minor goals Joe must achieve, like collaborating with great artists in the world and achieving platinum plaques to become the future of music. “I want to be a student of the game and a breath of fresh air,” says Joe. It will just be a matter of time before the world will understand that Joe West is not your Average Joe!
