Zarenae – Dreamy

Rising Pop Star Zarenae brings California Summer Fun to the table with new hit single ‘Dreamy’

LOS ANGELES, CA – Zarenae, born and raised in Southern California, is a fast-rising singer/songwriter who made her debut in 2020 with a faithful cover of Madonna’s Pop classic “True Blue.” With that track the world was introduced to a talented singer with a versatile voice and a knack for expertly delivering a legendary Pop hook.

Now she’s back with new smash hits that will make the world want to dance. Starting with “Body Talk,” which she released early this summer, Zarenae brings a bubbly, Pop-forward song that’s fun and upbeat. Following that, she released the summer hit “Dreamy,” which went live across all streaming platforms July 30.

Right from the get-go “Dreamy” creates a vibe that makes the listener feel as if they’re on the beach with her, enjoying a care-free day. It’s a song with a nice Pop bounce to it, and her vocals immediately showcase a rare talent in today’s industry. She’s definitely letting her presence be felt with enjoyable lyrics and a summertime groove that showcases her star presence shining bright in its finest hour.

“Growing up I would always look forward to summer, and I wanted to capture that feeling with this song,” Zarenae said. “I was thinking about past romances and how summertime is usually a time for new flings. It’s about a summertime crush, but you know it’s only going to last for the season, so you don’t want to catch feelings and instead just enjoy the moment. It’s more about the fun aspect, and I wanted to embody that experience in this song.”

“The sound I bring – which is Pop/contemporary with an R&B vibe at times – and the messages I share in my music — makes me stand out and be unique, I think,” she said. “After experiencing the effects of COVID-19 with my school friends, I wanted to create music that spreads fun and positive vibes, that will make people forget about the past and live in the moment. My goal, whether it’s in a 3-minute song or a two-hour set, is to help people forget everything going on around them, so they can have fun and dance! I’m just a fun California girl, and I really hope my music can spread a positive energy to the world so that people can experience a good, fun moment.”

Zarenae said she plans to release more singles this year before dropping a debut EP. To listen to her music, or to follow her on social media, please visit the following links:

CashmereXPapi – They Madd

Blog, Industry Spotlight, ME Blog, Music, Promo, Videos

CashmerexPapi highlights hustle mentality with energetic new single ‘They Madd’

KANSAS CITY, MO – Energy. Energy. Energy.

That’s what fans can expect from Kansas City-based artist CashmerexPapi. His deep bass grooves and up-tempo vibes offer listeners a good time, every time. And his latest his single “They Madd” is no different.

Produced by Multi-Platinum group Beat Demons and mastered by Two-time Grammy-nominated Yonni – who has also produced for Trey Songz and Lil Wayne – the single is set to drop across all streaming platforms on Aug. 18. It’s a track that’s ready made for parties and clubs and any kind of upbeat gathering. Its message is simple: have fun and just enjoy life. And if people are upset that you’re doing you, ignore them and just enjoy being yourself.

“When my music comes on I want people to feel like they can have a good time,” Cashmere said. “I want people to feel good. That’s why I’ve always got friends around and I’m always dress well. I’m like Cashmere poppin’, and we always gonna have a good time.”

Born in Kansas City – one of the hottest spots on the planet for Jazz music – Cashmere grew up influenced by the Jazz sounds of his city. In fourth grade he started getting into music and learned how to play the piano. That led to learning the drums in middle school, and by high school he was exploring the art of production while also working as a choreographer. He had the opportunity to open for some mainstream artists while in high school, and by the time he had left for college he was taking a deep dive into the recording industry.

“When I went to college I started promoting parties and doing events, which helped me build a fanbase around party and Trap music,” he said. “I dropped out of college and moved back home to chase my music dreams full-time.”

Cashmere said he has mastered the art of songwriting and engineering, and pulls from life experiences when crafting his lyrics. Through that process he’s able to build a connection with his listeners, who relate to his words and stories while enjoying the beats and vibes he creates. Along the way he’s been able to meet people like Ray J, Blueface, Wack100, Flo-Rida and many others.

“This industry is about perseverance and keeping a hustle mentality,” Cashmere said. “Five years from now I plan to be headlining my own tour and leaving a stamp on the world with the music I create.”

Cashmere said he has more singles planned to drop this year, and is eager for more audiences all over the world to get a taste of what he’s bringing to the table.

Angel Is Chris – Scrunchie

Blog, Industry Spotlight, ME Blog, Music, Promo, Videos

New York’s Angel flings feisty, fun new feature with hit single ‘Scrunchie’

NEW YORK, NY – New York’s Angel has released a flashy, fun and feisty new track called “Scrunchie” that is the perfect cap to the summer. Angel Is Chris is a new voice on the scene who has been grabbing attention from industry insiders and an ever-widening fanbase for the past few months, and her new hit single is set to propel her onto the international stage in major ways. Exploring all the ways a woman can have fun with her boyfriend, this sexy and playfully aggressive track is the kind of feisty-fun vibe that fans will be playing on repeat for years to come.

A native of New York, Angel has been a fast-rising underground lyricist for the past few years who has made a name for herself as a clever artist who uses playful melodies mixed with a new York attitude. That standout style led to her nickname as New York’s Angel, and she’s been using that leverage to expand her reputation in recent months. She’s been showcasing her versatility and adept songwriting ability, and with “Scrunchie” she’s ready to take her success to the next level.

“Most of my music is super aggressive and sexual, but this is the first song I’m not rapping or all about the bars,” Angel said. “I’m just having fun and that melodic sound is what I’m trying to push. I’m trying to find myself between R&B and Hip-hop and Trap and even some Rock and Roll. I’m a sweetheart, and people know that when they meet me. I’m also fearless and I’m gonna give you what you give me. If you can feel that fearlessness in my music, that’s the ultimate thing I’m trying to portray. Don’t let the world get you down.”

Though Angel has been doing music randomly for the better part of the past 10 years, it has only been recently that she dove into it full-time and decided to make it a professional career. She’s had to learn the business on her own and has developed an ability to do everything herself – from songwriting and rapping to producing and even some mixing and mastering. She loves to explore avenues of relationships within her songwriting, and her sound often is inspired by a mashup of anything from The Oldies of the 1950s and 60s to the aggression of 90s bands like No Doubt, and even modern-day legends like Beyonce and Jay-Z. That fusion of sound makes her a standout artist who cannot be denied.

Angel said she’s planning on dropping a new EP called “Dreaming Under Issues” sometime in early 2022, though prior to that she’ll release another single called “Belly Dance” later this year.

Sa Money – No Effort

Blog, Industry Spotlight, ME Blog, Music, Promo, Videos

Master of his craft displays raw talent on hot new single ‘No Effort’

BRONX, NY – Sometimes writing a song is a long, arduous process. But sometimes inspiration strikes like lightning in a bottle, and when it does a smash hit can seem to appear out of nowhere. That’s the case for the latest single from East Coast artist Sa Money.

The song is appropriately called “No Effort,” and it is the first of three singles that he plans to drop before the end of the summer. The single is a statement about this young artist’s journey through the music industry and how his unique and signature sound are lighting up an overcrowded marketplace with fresh and intriguing ideas.

“I’m in a space where I’m locked in and nobody can f**k with me,” Sa Money said. “Anything is on the menu right now and I’m taking it to another level. This single is a testament to that. It came out of nowhere. It wasn’t something we expected. We originally just wanted to push some singles one at a time. But as I started going to the studio we were creating really great tracks in a really short amount of time. With the grace of God and my work ethic we created six songs almost effortlessly. The music is timeless and the quality is great, but the effort behind it was small because it was just me vibing and being in the pocket. It was just me going into the studio and doing what we do and we wound up finding some type of masterpiece in there.”

With this song, fans will get to see not only a master at the height of his craft, but also an artist who’s trajectory has been steadily rising since he first came onto the scene about four years ago. Though music has always been a part of his life, he didn’t take it seriously as a recording artist until about four years ago when he and his wife moved from down south back to his hometown of The Bronx. His brother’s wife had just lost her life due to gun violence, and the experience inspired Sa to pursue music on a different level. He dropped his first video – a collaboration with some other talented rappers from neighborhood – and it took off, reaching nearly 20,000 streams organically. He followed that with his first project, “I’m Far From Over,” and started making a buzz in the industry. By the summer of 2019 he was being featured in major showcases and performing at festivals like South X Southwest. He also got involved in a Web series called “Old Heads,” which used his music as a soundtrack and for which he was a series regular during season 3. He followed that experience with another project called “Mastered The Art,” which further propelled him into national fame. And now with “No Effort” he’s ready to take that notoriety to an international level.

“I definitely want my music to be inspirational to people,” he said. “My music is relatable to what I got going on, but also to people who have things going on they’re fighting through. I come from a place where you have to grind for everything you’ve got. I tend to speak about those things and the specifics of that. And I end up touching people throughout the world. Issues and problems can stem from many different things, and music is one of those things people gravitate to and helps them get through whatever they’re going through. I just love the culture of hip-hop and want to represent that as a whole, and I want to stay original and be me and give a breath of fresh air to that hip-hop culture.”

KILKENNY – NEPTUNE

Blog, Industry Spotlight, ME Blog, Music, Promo, Videos

KILKENNY explores love, mental health and peer pressure with mellow ambiance on new album ‘HYPO’

PORTLAND, OR – A vast array of production styles that explore themes of love, mental health and peer pressure make its way onto the new album from West Coast artist KILKENNY. Embracing the anti-hyper-pop aesthetic, this new artist’s project “HYPO” offers a more mellow, low-key side of Pop-infused sounds and styles that elicits a more melancholy and almost ethereal vibe. Across nine tracks, KILKENNY brings listeners along on a journey of self-discovery and introspection, while also offering an ambiance that’s ready-made for relaxation.

The project started with the single “HEADLIGHTS,” which he released in January. Not originally intending to create a full album, KILKENNY said he was curious to see what kind of response he would get from the release of “HEADLIGHTS.” He’s been an artist exploring the diverse sub-genres of Pop music for a while, and “HEADLIGHTS” was a foray into uncharted territory for him. The response he received was overwhelming, and he decided to further explore that sound and style through a full project.

The standout single from the album is a song called “NEPTUNE.” It has a sound and style that KILKENNY said he hasn’t really heard within the music industry before, and as such it’s a track that he’s extremely proud of.

“It just feels so unique and different, but still so captivating with the way it sounds,” he said. “I really believe it’s something people haven’t heard before. And within the lyrics I’m talking about my battles with myself and the struggles of getting over insecurities and bettering your life. It was born from a time when I struggling with anxiety and depression and that moment when it feels like it’s never going to end. This song represents that feeling of never being able to get over what you feel and fearing that you’ll never again feel happy.”

Among the standout sounds of the single are KILKENNY’s signature vocals, which are immediately identifiable for listeners. Stylistically, the way he does his vocals is unlike any other artist in the game today. He incorporates pedal boards and other various distortions to enhance the vibe he’s developed on the project, and as such offers listeners something truly original. Eventually he plans on branching out from this sound and exploring a more hyper-pop sound with a follow-up album in 2022. Ultimately, he hopes to offer fans music that encourages them to just be themselves and embrace their individuality.

“I hope my music represents that you should always be yourself, regardless of your flaws or any problems you’re going through,” he said. “It’s important to be you and do what makes you happy. At the end of the day you can have money or fame, but the only thing that can make you happy is doing what you love, not what brings you success.”

GRW – Love Is The Action

Blog, Industry Spotlight, ME Blog, Music, Promo, Videos

International vibe pairs with Rock/Pop stylings on new single from GRW

NASHVILLE, TN – Genre-outlaw GRW is a Nashville-based artist who has been creating new global sounds for the better part of the last decade, and his most recent single “Love Is The Action” is yet another smash hit that’s sure to find its way to a worldwide audience. Created in collaboration with Jamaican singer Nyanda – former band member of Brick and Lace – the Reggae/Electro Pop/R&B single invites listeners to consider different ways to love one another. GRW said it’s an important song for these difficult times, and that he hopes anyone who hears it takes some inspiration and feels compelled to do exactly what the song encourages: show love through action.

“The message is love is something you do instead of something you say,” GRW said. “Unless you actually show it with your actions and how you live your life, it’s meaningless. Love is what you do. It’s deep. It’s spicy. It’s real. Ultimately this is a song about how human beings treat each other, but also how we treat mother nature and everything around us. It’s a big message all around.”

GRW (which not only is an anagram of his name Gary Russell Wertz, but is also a play on the word grow) – is a regenerative farmer and animal rescuer who lived in California for many years before moving to Nashville to pursue music full-time. He and his family (Lisa Austin and daughter Lorretta) continue to grow and care for the earth in their regenerative farm/animal rescue home in Tennessee, and he considers that aspect of his life just another outflow of his creative disposition and personality.

Since his time in Nashville, GRW has been a featured performer at The Bluebird Café and other legendary local music venues. His studio, Sacred Dog  – which he started in California – has been re-established in Nashville and he has had the opportunity to work with artists like Kyle Ranson, Dave Catching of Eagles of Death Metal and Junior Toots, son of Toots Hibbert , among others. His work in the music industry has led to some amazing collaborations, including his most recent Reggae Fusion song “World Upside Down” featuring the legendary Junior Reid.

With “Love Is the Action,” GRW gets to continue that string of successful collaborations by working closely with renowned singer Nyanda, who has toured the world as a musician and was signed to Geffen Records. GRW said Nyanda brings an international flare to the table and helps to create a sound that can be embraced by a wide variety of audiences from all parts of the world.

“I’m trying to create world fusion music,” GRW said. “ To bring in all cultures and reach across different cultures and countries to create a new sound. I incorporate elements of global sounds into many of my productions. Every culture on Earth has made music worth dancing to or crying to or tripping out on. I find inspiration in all of it – from Howling Wolf to Japanese Garage Punk to Ravi Shankar and Eric B. and Rakim and Patsy Cline. It’s All Good. A song can be inspired by many flavors and it’s genetic memory descended  from many different ancestors. So, with me, you never know what you’re going to get, but you’re going to get something made with love. And hopefully a melody that gets stuck in your head and a few words that have a little meaning for you.”

“Love Is The Action” is currently available across all streaming platforms, and a new dance single “Wicked City” featuring Junior Reid will be released this August. GRW said he plans to continue releasing more music in the coming months, and is excited for a wider audience to discover his sound.

TOWSLEY – DAMAGED

Blog, Industry Spotlight, Music, Videos

TOWSLEY takes ‘Deliberate’ and bold steps with raw yet inspirational new EP

SPRINGFIELD, MA – TOWSLEY is an unconventional musician with an equally unique introduction to music. At only 4 years old – after seeing a live bluegrass band – she knew that music was in her future … but she had to convince her parents of that fact. Begging them to buy her a guitar almost every day for a year, they finally relented and purchased what would become the first of many instruments that this talented artist would master. Mostly self-taught by ear, TOWSLEY developed a unique sound and style that caught the attention of anyone who heard her. With an astounding voice and an intriguing guitar style, she was soon being sought after for new music. Growing up in the church, she found her way into ministry as a worship leader and church music director. But she eventually left this path behind after coming out as a lesbian.

As with many others who have made that bold announcement to their families and community, TOWSLEY faced a lot of backlash and disappointment. Her response was to walk away from music and flee to the military. She enlisted with the U.S. Army, and for the past three years she’s been serving in Italy. It was during an especially dark and depressing time for her during the 2020 Pandemic and ensuing quarantine that she turned back to music as a source of therapy. And in the midst of that anguish she found her love for writing music again.

Out of that process comes her latest EP “Deliberate.” The five songs on the project perfectly express the meaning behind the name of the EP – a mantra, of sorts, for her life moving forward. Each of the songs on the project were chosen for a reason, with deliberate purpose and intention to bring listeners on a journey. She deliberately chose songs that highlight and expose different aspects of who she is as a person through stories with which other people can relate. And she puts those ideas against a style that has been compared to Amy Winehouse, Florence + The Machine and even Adele.  The debut single from the EP, “Damaged,” is a perfect example of how this blend of ideas and sounds comes together in intriguing ways.

“All of the songs on this EP came from that place of isolation,” TOWSLEY said. “I was in a dark period of time trying to find some light and reconnect with my passion for writing. With ‘Damaged,’ I get very raw and show people who I am as a person. We’re all damaged, and this is my story of how I’m damaged. We’re all damaged, but that doesn’t mean we’re damaged goods. It’s an important message I want people to hear. You’re not alone. We’ve all been in a dark place and a little broken, but that doesn’t mean that’s the sum of who you are.”

With a drive to connect with people and the desire to be a voice for marginalized communities – especially the LGBTQ+ community – TOWSLEY hopes that listeners will feel a connection to her music and find inspiration to live their most authentic lives. With influences that range everywhere from jazz to blues to folk to Pop to classical to metal to rock to Gospel and everything in between, she has a vibe and stories with which fans all over the world will be able to relate.

Anthony Q – OG Advice

Blog, Industry Spotlight, ME Blog, Music, Promo, Videos

Memphis’ own Vibe King, telling stories in music

You can call it Soul, you can call it R&B, or Hip Hop, Anthony Q doesn’t care as long as he’s telling a story and showing why he calls himself the “Vibe King,” through his music

“I’m not just calling myself the Vibe King because it looks good on paper,” the Memphis born and bred artist said. “I literally have so many different vibes that I’m going to give you, so when people start to question, what lane is he in? I’m in my lane.”

Anthony Q spans a number of genres with hits such as OG Advice, Feel So Good, Better and newly released singles Home, Move On and Monster.

He grew up a military brat, living for three years in Germany as a young child while his mother was stationed overseas and served in Operation Desert Storm.

He says he got his musical talent from his father, who currently serves as his manager.

“I’ve been singing since I was probably 8 years old,” Anthony said. “I grew up singing in a group from my teenage years on up until my early 20s. I’ve been singing in studios, especially in talent searches since I was 15. Now I’m just trying to find my own niche as a solo artist and song-writer as well.”

His music spans different genres and it spans different topics as well.

His single OG Advice tells the story of the advice he’s been given growing up and growing as an artist.

“OG is coming from where I come from,” Anthony Q said. “The majority of my life, I come from the hood and in the hood there’s always an older OG who’s been to jail or already lived through what you’ve lived through. A lot of time he gives you advice and in the hood it’s not real nurturing but it’s real. Hey man keep your head up. Don’t worry about what nobody else is doing, you got to do you, you’ve got to find what works for you.”

Anthony said his latest release, Monster, has been mistaken as a “Black Lives Matter” song, but he said it’s based on his experience as a black man with others of his own race and other races.

“It may seem like you’re going to get something different from me but it’s all because I’ve lived it,” he said. “I’ve been through it, I’ve had the conversations, I’ve had down times I’ve had ups, I’ve been in love, I’ve had my heart broken, I’ve broken hearts. You’re going to get different vibes. For me, I’ve had the opportunity to live a lot of things, so I’m going to share my life with you.”

Adam Nuckels – King Is Home

Blog, Industry Spotlight, ME Blog, Music, Promo, Videos

Adam Nuckels finds life post-pandemic with genre-bending new single ‘King Is Home’

Pittsburgh, PA– In the words of veteran Adam Nuckels, “Post military life has had it’s challenges.” Having served two tours of duty in the Middle East during Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom – and 12 years of service in total – Nuckels left the military in November 2017 facing an uncertain future.  A close friend, Dustin Ionadi, had passed from a rare form of brain cancer after serving his time in Iraq and Afghanistan, and between that tragedy and the mental challenges from which Nuckels suffered, life was extremely difficult. Like many other veterans struggling with similar issues, Nuckels at first turned to alcohol to numb the pain. His depression deepened and he even attempted suicide multiple times. The journey got dark at times, but along the way he found some great support and has pro-actively been working toward full mental and physical recovery. One of the biggest things to help him through has been creating music.

In 2020, Nuckels launched Deadonfeet Records, and began zeroing in on a full-time career as a recording musician. He learned more and taught himself the ins and outs of the music industry, and today he writes, composes, produces, and performs all his own music. He has eight songs out across all streaming platforms, and his latest hit is a song called “King Is Home.”

Nuckels showcases natural vocals and an aggressive energy as he blends a variety of sounds on this hot new track. Embracing a kind of 1930s throwback vibe – a “Bonnie and Clyde outlaws-in-the-West kind of vibe” he said – the song serves as an announcement, of sorts, to the world that Nuckels is here to stay when it comes to music, and his talent is something to which people should pay attention.

“I’ve been pre-judged my entire life,” Nuckels said. “Through my music, you get a picture of who I am as an individual. This song shares that with people. It’s a song about letting go of my past and moving on. I bet all chips on myself when the Pandemic struck , and I’m pursuing my dream.  I’m doing what I was always meant to do. This song is the story of that journey.

Nuckels said he knows people will appreciate how he blends three or four genres into one with each of the songs he creates. And across it all he showcases a unique ability to rap over the top of any beat. The end result is a new genre of music, he said, with such an original vibe that it’s almost hard to describe. From influences of Metallica, Slipknot, and The Doors to NWA, Dr. Dre, Eminem, Three Six Mafia, and DMX, Nuckels incorporates a lot of different sounds and styles. And he plans to keep showcasing that sound with more singles over the course of the year.

“My life will be reflected in my art and my music,” he said. “It’s a story. I don’t want people to deal with the life I’ve been trying to conquer, and my music will help them with that. It’s real and authentic and straightforward, and I believe that can help and inspire a lot of people.”

Kevin Young celebrates graduation from street life into recording career with motivational new single ‘Did Just That’

PALM BEACH, FL – Kevin Young is a new artist on the scene who skillfully balances his aggressive, tenacious roots with passion and emotion that shine through every track. From hardened accounts of hustling in the streets, to dance-friendly club anthems – and even slower R&B-infused sounds – his diverse style showcases his own rich experience in life. His most recent display of that talent is the new hit single “Did Just That.”

Self-described as motivational and positive, the mid-tempo track with some energy explores Young’s journey from street living to his current life as a professional recording artist. Having been in-and-out of juvenile detention during his teenage years, and in-and-out of jail as a young adult, Young has made it a habit of overcoming the odds through dedication and continuous hard work. This single explores the tough decisions he’s had to make along the way, and celebrates the good things that have come as a direct result of walking the straight-and-narrow.

“I’m determined to become a rising star in the rap and hip-hop world, and beyond,” he said. “This is the song that tells people how I graduated and shifted from street living into a different life – into more positive things. It’s motivational, and I know people are going to appreciate the genuine-ness of my music. I have a variety of different songs, and through all of them people will see that I’m really genuine.”

Young also emphasized that his sound is very diverse – something he puts on display from song-to-song. He has dance/club songs, hardcore street songs, positive and upbeat songs, and even songs for the ladies. And though when he speaks he has a gravelly, raspy voice; his singing and rapping voice is clear and often times melodic. Ranging in the higher registers of a tenor, Young’s voice displays a rare natural talent that is undeniable the second listeners hear it. It’s no wonder, then, that many people have noted influences like Future and Kevin Gates when they hear Young’s songs. He takes that as a compliment, and hopes to be able to immolate their work ethic and self-motivated success when it comes to his own career.

In addition to “Did Just That,” Young has a forthcoming project called “Cartel Life.” It’s a project that intentionally shows off his ability to be diverse, with every song on the tape showing off a different style or sound or genre. He’s also excited to be joined by some big-name features on the project, including Kevin Gates and King Los. Ultimately it’s a project that explores the life he was living before he got into music, and by reflecting on the street life and some of his past experiences he hopes to be able to inspire others to pursue their own dreams and avoid the pitfalls that he fell into along the way.
