While many of the songs on Product of My Environment have a heavier concept, Highway Tone’s new single “Yeah Yeah” has a much more upbeat and club-ready feel to it. “When I started writing this song, I was thinking about all of my friends and brothers who had become statistics of the streets, but my partner told me that I needed to switch it up. I had someone else work on the chorus and it came with this super catchy hook and I just ran from there.” This song centers on all of the ways that Highway Tone is enjoying his life, being able to focus on the good things, something we all need to do sometimes.

Though he has just released so many amazing tracks, Highway tone is already on the move again with another upcoming album called Highway Signs & Yellow Lines. This album will be focusing on who he is as a person and where he’s come from. It is an incredibly important project to him and sure to be just as impressive as these recent releases. International model Aaron Beri displays rich musicality with new single ‘Run Away’

SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA – A lot of people around the world would likely recognize Aaron Beri, though they might not know how. The Australian native has been a professional model since the age of 16, with features in magazines and advertisements across multiple media outlets. But what most people probably don’t realize is that he’s also a passionate musician with a body of work that is equal parts inspiring and evocative.

Beri said 2020 and the pandemic that caused so many to be quarantined presented a unique opportunity for him to spend a lot of time honing in on his unique sound and style. He said he was able to really fine-tune that contemporary R&B sound in ways that no one else in the industry is attempting today, and as such he’s hopeful to carve out a niche within the crowded marketplace and run with it.

“We take a lot of inspiration from 80s music and the early 90s,” Beri said. “From R&B singers like Brian McKnight or Baby Face or Toni Braxton, or even musicians like Kenny G. I’ve worked hard to find that pocket to put the sound into. Ultimately I want a longevity with my music. I want to create music that 20 years from now people can put on and it still feels fresh. There’s so much disposable music out there today – a song can be released and just a couple of months later sound so dated. I don’t want to add to that noise. I want to hone in on my brand and find that pocket and generate timelessness.”

Pennsylvania rapper Ty Baby looks to inspire, influence with music

WILKES BARRE, Penn. — Up and coming Pennsylvania rapper Ty Baby is relatively new to music but he’s looking to show his progression with his mixtape “Voice of My Circle,” and a number of single coming out in the next few weeks.

At age 21, Ty Baby got his start when a friend wrote him a song for his 17th birthday called “Flex.” He and his friends recorded the song and it can be seen on Youtube.

Ty Baby said his goal is to make “relatable, influential music.”

“I want to touch people in that dark spot,” Ty said. “I just want to let people know that people have been in any situation you’ve been in and it can get better, you’ve got to keep pushing, never give up. Follow your dreams and things will get better. That’s what I want to give to people. Relatable music, soul-touching music, chill-giving music, that’s what I want to give.”

His latest work is a mixtape called “Voice of My Circle,” released on all platforms with nine tracks with names such as “Empty Hearts,” “All In,” and “Soul Splitter.”

“That album, I’m basically making music for my circle and if you like it, you do, if you don’t you don’t,” Ty said. “That’s what that mixtape was for. It’s like the voice of my circle, I’m speaking for my family, my team, my people, I’m letting you know what I stand for.”

His favorite song on the tape is “All In.”

“I was really speaking about my life,” Ty said. “It was like pain, I was really feeling it. To this day, that song really put me in a different state of mind. I can’t even really explain it.”

Another song on the take, “Wild, Wild West,” was just a fun song that came to him.

“There’s not even really a story behind it, I just made it,” Ty said. “It was fun. It was a fun vibe and I needed a couple more songs for the project so I sent it to a couple close friends and relatives to see if they liked it, because I didn’t really like it. They said they loved it, I didn’t get one person who said they didn’t like it, so I put it on the project.”

Ty Baby said fans should look for a series of new songs to come out in the next few weeks. He said he’s trying to grow his fan base and introduce more people to his sound.

“I’ve got a fan base now but I know I can get it bigger,” he said. “I just have a lot of singles and my singles I’ve got right now, they’re different than the songs I have on the mixtape or anything I’ve got out right now.

“It’s better, you can see the development, the way I attack everything. I’m definitely working on my craft to separate myself from the others. I’m working to get better.”

“With this EP I’m talking about my experience as a soldier, a father, and a fighter,” he said. “I self-produce my own beats. I have a unique style that’s more of an East Coast Boom-Bap type thing, but it definitely has a Brooklyn influence. I’m a humble guy. I’m a single father. Jalin Ames embraces the ‘Goodlife’ with new album

SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH – Like a lot of artists who got their start at a young age, Jalin Ames found an undeniable escape through music. He quickly realized the power it had to weigh in on all aspects of his life and to carry him through each season.

As a collegiate athlete with a full-ride football scholarship, Ames was putting in the work, but was never satisfied with where his life was going. It was important to him to finish out those four years and earn his college degree, but when that time came, reality quickly snuck up on him.

While working a 9-to-5 sales job, Ames found himself constantly struggling to find his footing in the corporate world.

“I didn’t like what I was doing,” he said. “There was no creativity. It was not me being myself. So one day I was like, ‘Instead of working a job creating something for someone else, I’m gonna go ahead and try to make something for myself.’”

Ames walked away from the corporate world and pursued his true passion. He began writing songs and fine-tuning beats, and after almost a year of late night studio sessions, he had created 14 songs for his debut album. He hasn’t looked back since.

His most recent album, “Goodlife,” can be described as equal parts energetic and raw. It demonstrates stories that take you through a journey of deep transcendence, while contrasted with infectious beats and hooks that keep you coming back for more.

“This is the first step in my journey to the good life,” Ames said of the album. “It’s my freshman album. It’s the warmup or blueprint, or whatever you want to call it, for what’s going to come. It has a bunch of different vibes – night-time vibey tracks and hard-hitting, upbeat tracks. I think it shows the versatility I bring to the game and is a perfect reflection of how it allows me to connect with a new crowd.”

The first song from the project, “Goodlife,” shares its name with the album. It’s a chill, slow jam with a light, ethereal opening filled with chimes that sets a laid-back mood. Ames’ flow on this track has a nice sway to it, and his lines hit the beat just right.

Another track from the album, “Runnit,” has also been getting buzz from fans and industry insiders. Serving as a statement of his intentions to take the music industry by storm, the song demonstrates the hustle and ambition he has to be heard and to show people his craft.

Internationally known DJ launches recording career with hot debut single ‘Halston Takes a Trip’

LOS ANGELES, CA – Old-school Disco meets modern-era House music on the debut hit single from DJ-turned-recording-artist Sloane Angell. “Halston Takes a Trip” is a long, psyche-ish groove with hypnotic synth stabs and punchy drums that invite the listener to the dance floor and keep them there. It’s a fun track ready made for hanging out on the beach or enjoying a night out at the club. Roughly inspired by the Halston documentary on Netflix, the song is Angell’s attempt to make a desert rave song, albeit born from his love of the unique sounds and styles of the 70s.

“I love bringing a lot of really older sounds to the table,” Angell said. “I love Disco and the resurgence of Disco in House music. I’m trying to bring in samples and unique sounds from the 70s and some of that original Disco. That’s definitely true of this track. Ultimately I’d like to reference certain samples and sounds from different eras and incorporate them in all my songs. Mostly I’m interested in curating environments and moods. That’s what I’ve always sought after as a DJ. I have an eye for setting really specific energies in rooms or environments. Before, I used other people’s work to set those tones, but in the future I’d like to use more and more of my music to fine-tune even more moods I’m trying to create.”

After nearly a decade of serving as one of the go-to DJs of Los Angeles, Angell said he’s excited to be able to write and produce his own music. It’s an endeavor that he said allows him to have an even more tailored touch on the music that’s played in the environments he’s creating. But music isn’t the only artistic endeavor that he pursues on a daily basis.

Spending most of his days as a ceramicist – either making shapes on the pottery wheel, or loading a kiln, heated to a temperature that could ‘evaporate a body’ – he also dabbles in fashion, with his clothing line Mercer Market selling at cool boutiques across the USA. In the summertime he jets off to Montauk and holds down a summer residency at the Surf Lodge, in Los Angeles. He can often be found playing many a party, whether it be at Malibu Soho House or fancy houses in the hills. He’s been sought-after and coveted for the best parties in LA since he first landed on the West Coast from his native New York. He is essentially the go-to DJ for every SOHO house location every weekend, and through that experience he has developed a keen taste for ambient celebratory atmospheric tracks.

He is a man of many talents, and now that he’s writing and producing his own music he has become a man of many more.
