#NewMusicAlert @JRealityG ft Big Hustle “Big Dawg”

Videos

Jarvis Jeremy Gibbons, better known by his stage name JRealityG is an American rapper & songwriter

Born & raised in a small city with only 3 traffic lights & not very much entertaining to do besides playing sports, wildlife gaming & atv riding. JrealityG took a liking to hip hop at the very young age of 5 years old. Mimicking artists like LL Cool J, Bones Thugs n Harmony, the late great Tupac Shakur & also another legend The Notorious B.I.G. who he was introduced to through cassette tapes by his older teen cousins. Over the years that mimicking would actually turn into a second nature hobby. But instead of mimicking other artists, JrealityG had actually crafted his own style of rhyming & critiquing his wordplay in the form of writing & freestyling.

As a teen, JRealityG enjoyed listening to Field Mob Kanye West & Andre 3000 of Outkast. but I could honestly say Shawn Jay of field actually was the 1st artist that made me challenge myself as a writer. His delivery, play on words & wittiness made me aware that it was different levels to being a rapper/songwriter. Not solely based on the number of album sales made, but more so in the art itself. Cyhi the Prynce & J Cole are by far two of J Reality G’s favorite MC’s as of today. Due to the fact that they haven’t shied away from actually being craftsmen in this art Despite the trends that come & go they stay relevant & still prove to have two of the best pens in the industry.

JRealityG is a simple form of an artist with legendary lyrical talents. Cultivated by the southern roots his grandfather instilled in him, he has harnessed the ability to engulf his listeners through a thoroughly considerate approach to conscious lyrical content.

Influenced by some of the greats such as Jay Z, J. Cole, Rick Ross, Cyhi, and Shawn Jay, JRealityG will always be authentically grounded. The realism in his voice will take you on an expedition of culture, laughter, and a renewed desire for musical expressions.

His ability to craft a unique musical presence is pleasantly revealed in his upcoming release “No Congratulations”

Get to know Spice 1’s artist from Temple, Texas ‘Real Smokesta’

Interviews

Artist name?
Real Smokesta

What genre of music do you create?
I do it all. Hip Hop, Pop, R&B you name it. There’s nothing I can’t pull off. My mother didn’t allow me to listen to Rap until I was a Sophomore in High School. So I grew up listening to a lot of Gospel and Alternative music.

What city and state are you from?
I’m from Temple, Texas but we call it Trouble Town. A beautiful city but you can get into trouble easy.

Email address to send blog links?
Definitely My Label [email protected]

When did you realize you wanted to be an artist? Tell us your story?
The moment I realized Hip Hop was therapy for me. It saved my life. I mean really saved my life. In and out prison and not taking my life serious. There’s nothing else that would’ve taken me out of those streets. Not my Mama, Friends or Religion but Hip Hop opened up a different perspective on life to me. I have a unique story. In 2020 I got signed to Spice 1 from all these unique stories. Hip Hop is a way of life for me.

What project are currently pushing?
I have two new albums out I just released. Unfortunately I don’t see myself performing this year. More like next year.

What challenges have you had to overcome along the way?
I don’t think people really understand the stress artists go through. We’re human beings too. The mistakes. High expectations. Failure. People hoping you don’t succeed. Industry people scamming and all those things. I took a lot of loses before I ever started winning. To be the underdog and still win is Real Smokesta.

What makes you different from other artists?
Being authentic. When I create I don’t force myself to be different. I don’t care about what people think. I’m different naturally without thinking about it. The subjects I speak on aren’t popular but I’m cool with that because I don’t make music to please people. I make music that I’m pleased with to share with people.

What advice would you give other artists that are just starting?
Nothing is going to come running to you no matter how talented you feel you are. You have to put in the work to make it work. The work never stops.

What does the word success mean to you?
Success to me is doing what I love and seeing results from hard work. To come from a dark place as I did and still pursue my goals is success to me. To inspire people makes me happy.

What’s next for you?
I’m working on something special right now is all I can say.

As woman we go through so many phases of our life. Many times finding that we’ve lost a part of ourselves along the way because we’re so busy with everyday life.

With this particular project I wanted to embrace the side of myself I hadn’t seen in a very long time. That side of me that was fun, free, fearless, dangerous and sensual. Wow and it felt so good feeling free to be me.

I challenge all women to embrace all of themselves again. The woman you used to be combined with the woman you’ve become is unstoppable.
