DaJuan Akeem Blair professionally know as Yung Cyfa Born 4th out of 11 children not only made him no stranger to competition but quickly taught him how to fight for what he believed in and most of all for what he wanted.

At the age of 3 Yung Cyfa’s mother moved him and 4 of his siblings to Charlotte from Salisbury NC where they would live in a vehicle on the street until the vehicles was repossessed.

This unfortunate incident led to Yung Cyfa and his siblings being placed into the hands of foster care, where he would continued to go back and forth until the age of 16 when he eventually ran away and got his own apartment.

Through out the tough times of being homeless, in and out of foster care and general neglect, music was the only positive aspect of his life that kept him sane.

At a young age his step father Antwan introduced him to hip hop music which sparked a love for the art that still burns inside of him till this day. Inspired by his love for hip hop at 7years old Cyfa wrote down his first rap, but it was him winning his 7th grade talent show with a song that he wrote on his own from start to finish that lead to the pursuit of his career in music.

Equipped with the unique ability to switch between an array of styles along with the uncanny dexterity to paint pictures with words permits Yung Cyfa to cut through any musical composition with the ease of a hot knife slicing through butter.

When asked what music artist inspired him the most Yung Cyfa responded:

“ Aside from th Lyrical greats such as Rakim, Cool G Rap, Big Daddy Kane and K R S One”….. “I strongly identify with Meek Mill since our lives are parallel due to coming up in extreme poverty, battling mcs in the city for respect and having issues with the court system causing me to spend time locked up followed by a lengthy house arrest sentence that placed an ankle monitor on my ankle in 2016 and it remains on my ankle until this day 2020.”

In 2017 Yung Cyfa got the streets of Charlotte buzzing when he dropped his infamous Mixtape “Renegade” hosted by The Carolina’s own DJ Chuck T but things came to a screeching halt after the murder of his little brother Taemon Blair aka Duke.

In honor of his slain brother Cyfa along with his business partners/management team formed DukeMusicGroup LLC and made a commitment to pick up where he left off. Yung Cyfa is now set to release the follow up to his 1st mixtape “Renegade” with “Renegade 2” free to all of his followers and lovers of his music, available in the Summer of 2020.

Along side of the hectic schedule of releasing a free mixtape for his family of followers, Yung Cyfa is putting the finishing touches on his 1st Studio album “Legend” which includes his lates two singles: “1Hunnid” produced by Krazy Figz which can be heard on urban radio stations across the United States and the strip clip anthem “Throw Dat A** Back”.

Cyfa is also set to release his 3rd single entitled “Beast Mode” featuring Billion Dollar Baby Entertainment artist “Rich Dunk” the summer of 2020.

Born in Spanish Harlem, the recording artist known as Skibo Deebo is a rising entity in today’s Hip Hop culture. Speaking for the people, Skibo Deebo has taken on the moniker of the “Hood Representa” as both his brand and music content are a reflection of his connection to the struggle that exists in the lives and heart of the inner city.

Early on, Skibo Deebo took the reigns of a local collective of like minded individuals who would go on to be known as “Bronx Mafia.” Through his affiliation, Skibo Deebo developed a reputation which would resonate across the Bronx and allow him to build relationships with individuals from all walks of life.

Age 16 would prove to be a tumultuous time, as Skibo Deebo was rendered homeless resulting from being at odds with his biological father. Learning first hand how life can turn upside down Skibo Deebo did his best to survive the elements as he bounced around from multiple living situations. Swallowing his pride, Skibo Deebo decided to call on the support of his mother, returning to Laurinburg, NC to live with her and finish school at Scotland HS. Good intentions intact, Skibo Deebo gave a valiant effort but was unable to adapt as the reality of his behavioral records from NYC were a hindrance to his admission at Scotland prompting Skibo Deebo to return to the street life that awaited him in The Bronx, NY and East Harlem.

Forever tied together, his experiences in the street drove his attention to the Hip Hop culture, where he found that legendary performers’ content was something of a soundtrack to his life. Leaning on the latest from Nas, Wu-Tang, 2 Pac, and Jay Z, Skibo Deebo found solace in arguably the most popular genre today.

In love so deep, Skibo Deebo soon realized that his passion had evolved into the desire of contributing to the culture as a recording / performing artist. 2002 would be the year that he would pen his first single, Its Nuffin featuring life long friend K-Sass (Lyricaal) which would be placed on Taliban / Dipset projects. From there, the two would collaborate on Bronx Shit.

Debuting in 2009 as a solo artist, Skibo Deebo would release his first full project Hood Representa; The 17 track mixtape featured I Really Do This, All I know is Money, and 44 Grippin all of which gained acclaim and set the stage for a promising career in the recording business.

The next in a long line of street music would be his single, Move Them Thangs featuring veteran West Philly MC Tone Trump and Chi-Town native King Louie. His many relationships would be a great assistance in the momentum being this record, which has lead to high anticipation for follow up records.

A proud muslim, Skibo Deebo is laying the groundwork for his brand of music as well as his entrepreneurial ventures, as he seeks to enter the conversation of recognized moguls in the business today. Skibo Deebo has worked with established contributors from the Taliban / Dipset movement, Coke Boys, Top Notch Inc. (Lets Win), Muslim Don Family (MDF), Roc-A-Fella brands and Twan Da Dude ( The Great One) continues to network & build which has led to his receipt of support from NYC’s top DJs. You can hear Skibo Deebo’s music 7 days a week on the nightlife circuit.

EyeZz – You Know

Industry Spotlight, ME Blog, Music, Videos

Yung EyeZz offers introspective look on life with new singles ‘Puttin In Work’ and ‘You Know’

BROOKLYN, NY – It’s been said about New York Hip Hop artist Anthony A Lewis that if you look into his eyes, you can read his soul. And while he has adopted the moniker Yung EyeZz as a nod to that compliment, he’s more interested in letting people get a look at his soul through his music.

Born in Queens Long Island Jewish Hospital and raised in Brooklyn, this young up-and-coming musician is a name that you’ll want to note … and not just for the future. His latest singles “Puttin In Work” and “You Know” have already been causing heads to turn along the East Coast, and he’s gradually beginning to make a name for himself throughout the rest of the U.S. and globally!

Yung EyeZz said his path to the music industry started at age 14 when he first started writing poetry. In high school, he made friends with Junior Gomez who had adopted the stage name R3d3y3s and had created a studio in the basement of his home. The two would stay in the basement for hours every night, rapping and recording and learning how to make music. By the time he had graduated from high school and moved upstate to Massena, he was ready to take his self-taught skills and put them to work in creating his signature sound and style. That’s when he met producer Raymond Godoy, also known as Ray Gee.

“One thing led to another and we ended up building a studio in his basement,” Yung EyeZz said. “We would stay up days and nights recording songs, dropping tracks back-to-back even if it sounded bad and just grinding. I was constantly motivating myself to get better. I appreciate all genres of music, but I like to think I’m bringing an old school sound to the new school Hip Hop flow. I’ve always been a person who has liked to write stories or talk about what’s going on in my daily life and put that on paper. When I started recordingI realized I’ve got a flow, and it just took off from there.”

Today, he creates music that he said anyone can “just vibe out to and chill.” He has worked with people like Kipp “Gravity Law” and various other producers, perfecting his craft and learning the music game. He created the team L.B.M. which stands for Loyalty Before Money, and has joined forced with King Tony Rome of 1st Step Music Management.

Through his stories, he is connecting with a wide range of audiences. “Puttin In Work” is a perfect example of this. Derived from the struggles on the streets, the song examines the work it takes to get to a better place in life. It’s a mainstream sound, he said, but with a different style that will definitely cause people to pay attention. “You Know” is more of a chill, laid-back song that explores a day in the life of an average person.

Yung EyeZz said these two singles are just the beginning of what he has in store for releases and plans to drop a full album before the end of the summer.
