Young General YG7 has recently released “The Breakthrough”
New Orleans, LA – An up and coming Hip Hop artist under the name of Young General YG7 has recently released his latest album. The 17 track album is titled “The Breakthrough” and showcases Young General’s versatility and skill as a musician. Overall, the track has a smooth feel and is a truly easy listen.
Young General first took interest in music when he was only 14 years old. It was not until 2018 that he really began to seriously get into the music industry. “I didn’t start really taking my music seriously until after I got out of prison in 2018. After that, I really started to take my craft seriously and actually start pursuing it.”
Once his career began to take off, Young General developed a strong and unique sound of his own. He draws much of his inspiration from real life, something that really shows through in his music. “I have a unique style. Basically, I make my music based off of real stories and struggles that I have faced in my life. I have my own way of using my creativity in my work and making something that people haven’t heard before.”
Young General’s new album,“The Breakthrough”, shows exactly this with a collection of tracks that depict moments in his life and things that he has encountered. “I was inspired by a bunch of my own stories, living in the ghetto, going through struggles with prison and poverty. I talk about run-ins with the law and getting money and all of these things that I’ve had experiences with.” The album allows for a look into what it is like to be in Young General’s shoes. “It’s not the kind of album that you would hear on a daily basis. It is different and it’s real.”
While working on this project, Young General was hooked from the beginning. “My favorite part was from the moment I came up with the title and the whole idea for the album. Being able to work on these songs and reflect on my past and my life was a great experience in itself.” Once Young General got into the recording studio, he knew that he was on the right track. “Hearing myself on the track was the most fun. It really all started to come together.”
“The Breakthrough” is an interesting and relatable collection of tracks. It is Young General’s goal to connect with his audience and inspire them. “I want to let people know that they are not the only ones going through it. I hope it inspires them to keep going and keep pushing for the next thing because nothing happens overnight. You have to put work in and earn it.”
With “The Breakthrough” already out on all major platforms, Young General is already gearing up for the next part of the project. “The Breakthrough Part 2” is already in the works, as well as several videos to go with the tracks on the original album. 4LGang G5ive explores ‘SometimezKrazy’ life on new mixtape
ATLANTA, GA – Born and raised in Atlanta, Taurus Maddox – better known by his stage name 4LGang G5ive – is an artist who has always related to the streets. After serving six years in prison for mistakes he made as an adolescent, G5ive has poured himself into music. He has a star quality about him which fans all over the South are starting to notice with the release of his most recent mixtape “SometimezKrazy.”
Sharing his journey through music, G5ive offers 11 tracks on his new mixtape that explore the different experiences he’s had both before and after prison. Living each day in Atlanta brings its share of highs and lows, he said, and the music on his new project explores the “sometimes crazy” situations that arise throughout the course of his life.
“I started making a lot of music when I was in jail,” he said. “I just grabbed a pen and a pad and started beating on the desk. When I got out, I hooked up with my brother and cousin who have always been rapping. I watched them pursue music and I realized that’s the way to get ahead. When nobody else thinks you’re gonna do anything, that’s a way to change that outlook.”
The first single from the mixtape explores that idea in more depth. “Tighten Up” is a bouncy, fun song featuring Young Nudy that talks about living and running around in East Atlanta.Serving as a kind of warning to others who live a crazy lifestyle, the song encourages people to be self-disciplined in the midst of their good times.
“Don’t be forgetting that the police will be watching,” G5ive said. “They on you. Also, you’ve got enemies out there. That’s what this song is about – how we’re living and having fun, but making sure we’re not having too much fun. We gotta tighten up.”

“I went through some life experiences where I had some not too trustworthy people around me,” Fatelive said. “People who were snakes. People have been victimized like I was but they survived and learned from it. We’re smarter for it and better for it, and we don’t need those kinds of people around us anymore.”
Fatelive said he first got into music when he was around age 14, rapping and singing on his own when he was inspired by some of the legends he heard on the radio. He said he knew it was his fate to make music when some of the first things he created were embraced and celebrated by a large audience around his community. Music has been a part of him ever since, and he’s worked hard to hone his craft into something that’s truly original and signature.
“I don’t start with a sound, I start with an experience,” he said. “I literally create a sound based off life experiences – literally things I’ve lived through or ideas I’ve had because of things I’ve seen. I’ll put that into a melody and the message comes through with my songs. Ultimately, I just want to get my story out and see where it goes from there.”

Young British singer/songwriter continues string of successful singles with cinematic power ballad ‘Horses Make Me Cry’
YORKSHIRE, ENGLAND – A young singer/songwriter from Northern England is beginning to make a splash on the international stage with her cinematic Pop songs, the most recent of which was officially released on 18th December.
Lilo is a 20-year-old musician from Yorkshire, England who has slowly been making a name for herself over the past three years. Her new single, “Horses Make Me Cry” will be the fourth single she’s released this year. It’s a power ballad with heavy piano, light strings and her signature soaring vocals that are perfectly suited to belt out the emotion that this song evokes. Born from the feelings that often arise from being overwhelmed by too many things – something most people around the world have experienced in 2020 – the song shines a light on the beautiful things of the world that are oftentimes so refreshing that they serve as a natural release for all the tension.
“In Europe, we have a lot of these amazing adverts of horses, and they’re usually emotional adverts,” Lilo said. “One night my mother and I were watching one of the adverts and she said, ‘I don’t know why, but horses make me cry.’ I started thinking about why horses are so emotional, and I realized it was because they’re so elegant and beautiful. That got me to thinking about the beautiful things in our lives that overwhelm us with emotion because they’re such a break from all of the other things we’ve been experiencing. That’s what this song is about.”
Lilo said that true to her style of music, “Horses Make Me Cry” is a cinematic Pop song that’s very dynamic and features a “big” sound with orchestral influences paired with catchy lyrics. She said she loves songs that make listeners feel something, and that every song she creates will endeavor to make people feel something. That said, this single is somewhat of a departure from the three others she released earlier this year, all of which were more upbeat.
“When it comes to my music, the main thing I want is to give people goosebumps,” Lilo said. “I want to make music that moves you. I want to have songs that are upbeat and make you dance, but also songs that draw you in. There’s a meaning and a purpose to all of my songs. I love melodies and I love breaking down every melody I’ve written and finding ways to improve it because I like every single sound to have a purpose and a meaning.”
Lilo said “Horses Make Me Cry” is one of six singles she’d planned on releasing over the course of a year, and that she has more music ready to go for 2021. She also said she might release an EP in the summer of 2021.

East Coast rapper embraces ‘Borrowed Time’ by launching music career with debut album
HOWARD COUNTY, MD – Self-made rapper, artist, musician and icon-in-the-making Jonathon Griffin – AKA Lor Sosa – is a man making the most of his borrowed time. Growing up on the streets, he’s no stranger to drugs and violence. He’s been in and out of jail multiple times and admits that he’s defied the odds by living much longer than most others who have been entrenched in the street lifestyle. His latest album “Borrowed Time,” is a chronicle of those years and a reflection on some of his more harrowing experiences. At the same time it’s a cautionary tale to anyone else embracing such a violent lifestyle, with songs meant to motivate others away from crime and toward opportunities that can lead to success and good health in the future.
“I’ve done a lot of things in my life to the point where after getting through some of those things, I’m surprised I was still in it,” Lor Sosa said. “Now when I get up, I don’t take this time for granted. I definitely shouldn’t have made it this far. This album reflects that lifestyle and it’s special because it doesn’t have a single sound. Each song comes with a different type of mood, and overall it will appeal to a few different sub-genres and different pools of audiences. There’s something on there that everyone can rock with.”
The debut single from the project is a song called “Blink” which features a Drill beat against an upbeat club vibe. Sosa calls it a “shooter type of song” with some clever wordplay and sounds on the hook that makes it great for a club banger. The combination of that with the Drill beat is a perfect example of how Sosa blends genres and uses his creative originality to bring something new to the industry.
“My ambition is to gain more respect for the musical side of what I do,” he said. “In Hip Hop there’s been a lot of trickle in from Alternative Rock and Indie artists over the past few years. You can hear it with artists like Lil Uzi and Juice Wrld. I thought that sound was interesting, and I wanted to embrace the challenge of pairing Hip Hop with a more harmonic-type music. I want to push that boundary and cross genres while also telling a dope story. I have things in my past that a lot of people can relate to. I want to dive deeper and create relevant situations in the music that people can relate to. And at the end of the day, I hope people hear my music and say that it made them feel something. I’m providing an experience.”

Siredric Jimmerson better known by his stage name Syre aka SoufSydeSed is an up-and-coming hip hop artist. He was born in Dallas, TX on November 9th. His mother still living but his father having passed. Syre, being the older of 2 boys took the position of big brother to heart and ensured his little brother had a positive figure to look up to and confide in.
Syre has been writing songs and tapping into his creative side since he was five years old. Music as a career wasn’t something Syre saw or even realized at first. He just has a general love for music. But when his friends and other would get together and start freestyling and Syre would decide to jump in shoot his shot in the cypher everyone always got quite as they listening closely, immediately realizing they were hearing something special and that Syre had a gift for lyricism and performing. But Syre being Syre he still had his feet in the streets more than in the booth.
