South Florida rapper drops mixtape filled with bangers and lyrical stories

MIAMI, FL – One of the hottest up-and-coming storytellers in Hip Hop has dropped a hot new mixtape called “Out The Shadows” and the debut single from the project is lighting up the country with its fresh energy and crazy beat.

The song is called “Circus” and it comes from South Florida rapper Trill. Though he’s been rapping since age 11, “Out The Shadows” is his first official mixtape, and the success of its debut single shows that he’s coming out of the shadows with a bang.

“There are so many good rappers out there that you’ve never heard of, and they’re like the Ninja Turtles coming out of the sewers right now, kicking ass,” Trill said. “That’s what I’m doing. It’s time for people to know who I am, and that’s what this project is all about.”

“Circus” is a club banger that is the perfect song for the summer. It’s starts off with a slow build-up, and when the drop comes, the Spanish-influenced rhythm makes it impossible for listeners not to move their feet. Trill describes it as “fiery” and “attractive” in ways that will get people moving while also showcasing his unique ability as a lyricist.

“I consider myself a legit rapper,” he said. “That said, this beat is one of those that just pops out there. It’s one of the best beats I’ve ever heard. It has a Spanish feel to it because there’s a little bit of Salsa in the background but it’s also Trap and it’s just unique. The idea is that everybody comes to the circus to have fun and see crazy things. So this song is about a circus full of people where they just get down and get crazy.”

Trill said he’s been into music from a young age when his mother used to work for IJ Records. He recalls one memory in particular when the record label brought in the group Humble Thugs who were on the verge of making it big in the industry. He joined his mother in the studio as the group recorded, and he was impressed by the group’s lyrical ability. It motivated him to write his own song which he and his younger sister performed. He started studying lyricists like Andre 300, Eminem and Meek Mills, as well as some of the best orators in history, such as Malcolm X and Martin Luther King Jr. He took inspiration from their mastery of the spoken word and has used that to develop his own unique sound and style today.

“I consider myself a lyricist,” he said. “I can tell stories. I’m not a drill rapper or a mumble rapper. I’m a lyricist. I like to tell a story, but I like for everything I say to make sense. I don’t like repeating myself over and over which is what most rappers are doing today because it’s catchy. I like making bangers and feeding off whatever I come up with. If I come up with a hook, I feed off it. But first and foremost, I’m a lyricist and storyteller, and I want to be known for being a great rapper.”

Tragedy sparks new trajectory for Chicago-based artist GottiDinero

CHICAGO, IL – Life shifted when Tay Mulla got the news that his brother and cousin died in a car crash this year. The young Hip Hop artist from the Englewood section of Chicago had been rapping with his brother for years, and the two had been slowly making a name for themselves throughout the greater Chicago area as rappers who should be taken seriously. His brother’s name was GottiDinero, and to honor him and make sure that name never gets lost to history, Tay has adopted the stage name as his own.

Under that name, GottiDinero has been releasing singles over the past year that are pure emotion. They’re the kind of singles that the Hip Hop industry needs today. They’re helping him spread his reputation beyond the Midwest into the entire U.S. and into the rest of the world. His latest single, “Yea Yea” is a fun vibe that is perfect for the summer.

“It’s a song that’s basically me like I’m lit,” he said. “It’s a getting-money vibe with that rapid fire delivery as I talk about my lifestyle and getting money and being with girls. I’m a versatile artist and I’m a real genius, and this song shows that. With my music, there’s no fake nothing. I’m a genuine artist and you can feel me in my music. I just be me. That’s my style. Ain’t nobody like me. I want people to hear my music and be like, ‘Damn!’ just off of one line. There’s a thoughtfulness behind my music – behind the rhyme schemes and the word choices. I can make party music but more-so, I make music people can vibe to and will touch people.”

GottiDinero said music became a central part of his life at a young age. He remembers listening to Lil Wayne as young as age 3. As he grew a little older, his cousin found a way for them to record on SoundCloud which sparked his journey in rap. Though his cousin would eventually walk away from music, GottiDinero never did. He fell into music, and about two years ago, he’d reached a point where he began releasing his music to the world. He shot his first music video and things began to take off. Then tragedy struck with his brother.

“It happened on June 17th this year,” he said. “My brother was with my cousin and sister and two friends. Four of them were ejected out of the car, but my cousin was stuck in the car and died on the spot. My brother, sister and friends were in the hospital. He died in the hospital and so did another girl. But my sister and her friend survived and healed pretty quickly. Thank God they healed quick. It took me a little while but I eventually realized I wanted to make sure my brother’s name is still out there and lives on. Any time they see me, they see his face. That’s what I hope my music does – passes that legacy along.”

International Artist mixes sad love songs with EDM and Trap for unique new sound on forthcoming album ‘Flexin on a Heartbreak’

MALMO, SWEDEN – Over the course of his career, international recording artist Aeropryme has perfected a signature sound and style that stands out from anything else in the industry. Whether you’re in a European club and one of his Trap songs drops, or sitting at home chilling to one of his wavy Hip Hop grooves, there’s no denying the standout sound of an Aeropryme track.

That mastery of music will be put on full display with his forthcoming album “Flexin on a Heartbreak”. The album is due for release in late October. “This is the most emotive, sincere and experimental project I’ve ever done,” Aeropryme said. “It’s the first time I’ve done singing with melodies. Prior to this, I was strictly Rap and Hip Hop. I’m very proud of it because not only does it show you how far I’ve come as a person and a musician, but it’s some of the best song writing I’ve ever done.”

Based off his real-life experience of a painful breakup, “Flexin on a Heartbreak” explores the months and year following the dissolution of what he believes was a very strong connection. To this day, he considers her to be the perfect match and can’t understand how everything ended, and that raw emotion finds its way into every track of the album in ways that are sure to resonate with millions of people around the globe who have experienced similar relationship hardships.

“As much as it hurts, I’m glad I had that experience because she is someone who ended up being a muse for my music,” Aeropryme said. “I feel it and it’s magnificent. I want to spread love in my music and I’m manifesting the love that I felt with her and putting it into my Album, and in my own way I’m making those real moments last forever in my songs. I’m sharing with people how I’ve dealt with heartbreak over the past year and how that has helped me to focus on my music and career and get better as a person and songwriter. This album will have run-of-the-mill Trap songs but without any of the curse words or intentional shallow lyrics typical of the genre. It will also have very, very sad love songs. Both of those things are true reflections of the journey I’ve been experiencing over the last few years. This particular lady was the final piece of the puzzle for how I have always wanted to venture out and deliver my music. I’ve collaborated with many artists around the globe and I have been credited on other people’s projects as well, but this album is the culmination of my life’s work. I’ve been doing music for 15 years and for the first time in my life, I’m comfortable and creative enough to release an album to the world. I’ve been a major player on the underground scene for a long time but with this album, I really believe I can become a major international recording artist.”

New sound of Soul Bleu Cloud launches first half of
two-part album ‘Blue Magic’

BRONX, NY – A new sound in Soul is making its way onto the scene from up-and-coming New York artist Bleu Cloud. Her latest two-part project “Blue Magic” is the kind that propels young artists on the global stage with its signature sound and throwback vibes that immediately have listeners thinking of legends like Lauryn Hill, Anita Baker and even Prince.

Bleu Cloud is a 24-year-old R&B and Soul musician, singer, songwriter, producer, violinist, composer and overall artist who was born and raised in The Bronx. In her words, she “came out of the womb singing” and has been living a life that’s bathed in music. She started playing violin and composing music as early as third grade and hasn’t looked back since. Following the footsteps of her DJ father and singing mother, young Bleu Cloud has created a unique sound and style that is reintroducing Soul and Disco into R&B in ways that are timeless and very much needed in this day and age.

That sound takes center stage on “Blue Magic. The first of the two-part project was released this summer and features four songs that have a distinct 80s or 90s Soul feel while also introducing progressive twists that are current. Though groovy enough to be dance songs, these singles aren’t the kind of club-bangers that have people bouncing on the dance floor. They’re more groovy, feel-good songs that make listeners sway and smile.

“Everyone is kind of doing the same singing style of R&B these days, and I wanted to bring the soul back into R&B,” Bleu Cloud said. “I like to listen to Anita Baker and Whitney Houston and neo-soul artists, and I’ve taken their sound and created music that I would want to listen to. At the end of the day, I want my music to be associated with love, not sex, but the kind of love that makes people happy and brings joy to life.”

Two singles from the EP have been getting some major attention since its release. The first is “Make It Last” which has a definitive island vibe with an almost Reggae or Bossa Nova beat that pairs perfectly with her layered vocals. Bleu Cloud’s ear-candy harmonies showcase her soulful side eloquently and invite the listeners into a smooth vibe that entices them to just sit back and chill. The other is “Show and Tell” which is a slow-jam dance track that Bleu Cloud said was an attempt to give people something to two-step to at the club. Her light, airy vocals create an ethereal vibe that is chill and laid-back while also being wavy in ways that make the listener want to sway and move.

Timely EP from deep-thinking rapper Khalmplex challenges perceptions and encourages the youth of the world to ‘Ascend’ beyond stereotypes

SAN ANTONIO, TX – The lyrical depth found on the new EP from South Texas rapper Khalmplex certainly lives up to the promise of his name. With double entendres and witty wordplay, the six songs on “Ascend” weave a complex web – but that doesn’t mean it’s inaccessible. In fact, this up-and-coming artist from San Antonio said this is perhaps his most relatable project to date.

Khalmplex’s journey in music started at a young age but really took off at age 17 when he and his best friend were signed to a small label in San Antonio. He recalls getting in the booth and spitting a verse and the record execs telling him that his writing was too complex. He didn’t know any better – he was just trying to emulate his favorite rappers. When he threw out a second rap he’d written, they told him it was even more complex than the first one. Instead of walking away from that vibe however, it’s something that he’s embraced. His career has consisted of deeper songs that use words with double meanings and encourage listeners to consider a different point of view. He’s also known for his energy, and again, his name speaks toward that calm before the storm. That energy is put on full display with the six songs on his new EP “Ascend.”

“This is me trying to focus on the heavier side of music,” Khalmplex said. “There is a lot of double meanings in the stuff I do, and I wanted to push the idea of rising above what’s handed to you. Everyone born of poverty is beat up on and there’s an attitude of ‘this is what it’s got to be.’ But you can change your attitude and decide to rise above and be whatever you want to be.”

The project starts with the first of three skits featuring rising star Jackboy of Sniper Gang Entertainment, making way for the first single “Ascenion” which Khalmplex describes as a sample of what he’s feeling during this current time of history. He’s venting frustrations while also setting the stage for the rest of the EP. This makes way for “In Danger,” a song that examines the inner struggle of the age-old angel on one shoulder and demon on the other. He said people will often point out the flaws in your life and tell you that you’re in trouble. But with this song, he’s flipping that and saying, “I’m not in trouble, I am the trouble. I’m turning the disadvantage into an advantage.”

The third and fourth songs on the EP are the most transparent and personal to Khalmplex and were inspired by the recent loss of his older brother. Song three is called “11:11 (Be Great)” and song four is “Frank White.” The former features slower guitar riffs and auto tune vocals in soulful ways that help listeners feel the desperation many artists feel when their backs are against the wall.

“Sometimes it gets to the point where you ask yourself why you’re even doing this when everyone is against you,” he said. “My answer to myself was that I wanted to be great. I’m using the gifts I was given and the tools I was given to create something better than what I see in front of me. It’s basically me pushing back and saying I’m not doing this for nothing. The idea for the name of it came as I was struggling with the loss of my brother. I kept seeing repeating numbers everywhere – all ones or all threes. And I read something that said 11:11 is when God sends a calling to his angels. It’s time to get to work. The term for it is the call to the light keepers, and that’s something I wanted to embrace. It’s a song that leads directly into ‘Frank White,’ which was the name of a fictional character in the film ‘King of New York.’ In that story, someone is trying to take the reins and rise to the position of boss because they just lost their general. That’s what I’ve had to do since my brother passed. So this is a song of me announcing a position of power and calling all my people to follow me and I’ll take us where we need to be. It’s a heavy song, for sure, with more of a gothic Rap feel, but I think people will dig it. We shot a video for it and put a lot of work into. It’s more of a get-up-and-go type of song with a sense of empowerment than anything else.”

The project ends with the songs “Crime Stories” and “No Investors,” the first of which was done in collaboration with Houston Rapper Juan Gotti out of the SPM camp. “No Investors” finishes the EP with a challenge to the young people of the world to rise above their station in life and don’t complain about the hard things that have been handed to them. Instead of complaining, he said, get to work and don’t let anyone else tell you what you can be.

“Nobody can stop you and tell you no,” he said.

‘Jam Remix’ from Trinidad and Tobago artist Champeon is the perfect party song for the summer

COLUMBIA, SC – The sounds of the islands paired with upbeat vibe and an overall party spirit are on the hot new track from East Coast artist Champeon. His “Jam Remix” is the perfect kind of summer song to get people up and on their feet during quarantine as it hearkens back to better times while promising good times yet to come.

Produced by frequent collaborator Jelani of Studio 23 Music Group, the song features guitar work from Tito Monaco – an artist from Nairobi, Kenya – and keyboards from Chify Jay – a Nigerian musician. Written and performed by Champeon, the song’s upbeat vibe has been making the rounds globally for the past couple of months and is getting quite a bit of attention from fans and industry insiders alike.

“It’s a song that gets you in a great mood,” said the artist whose origins start in Trinidad and Tobago before coming to Miami and eventually landing in South Carolina. “The lyrics and the instruments put you in a good place. The song came about when we were fooling around in the studio talking about how when quarantine is done we can’t wait to get back in the club and dance with some females. We ended up creating a sound that basically takes you to the party.”

A music video for the single has also been released. Directed and produced by Victor “Bigg Vic” Newton of 2026 Multimedia Studio, the video perfectly captures that summer party vibe by following Champeon as he meets a young lady, and the two started jamming to the music.

Champeon has had a long journey in the music industry. What started as a passion for Soca music while living in Trinidad and Tobago grew into a love for other genres – specifically Hip Hop as he moved to the U.S. When he moved to South Carolina, he joined a group from Miami called Absentee Crew. In 2002, Champeon got the opportunity to open at a show that featured T&T Soca artist Sanell Dempster. That performance put him on the map, and he hasn’t looked back since.

While working to establish his presence on the Soca scene, he began to explore what he could with his love of Hip Hop. Out of that experimentation came “Jam,” which he describes as a crossover Hip Hop track.

“‘Jam’ was inspired by my free-spirited nature,” Champeon said. “Despite all the disappointments in life, I still have fun regardless of the situation. The song captures that and gives you the feeling of wanting to dance with a lady – it’s a feel so unreal that you have to put your hands up. At the end of the day, I want to create music that people can relate to. A party song is something anyone can relate to, but I’m doing more motivational songs, as well, to make you think a little bit more. Mostly, I want to reach out and capture people’s attention and give them a good time. Life is short so we gotta enjoy it. It’s all about just having a good time.”

Swim’s new single ‘Paranoia’ is the perfect song for 2020

LOS ANGELES, CA – Punk Rock meets Pop and splashes of Hip Hop for the perfect West Coast summer vibe from fast-rising artist Swim. His single “Paranoia” is the perfect kind of rapid-paced guitar-driven track that immediately puts listeners in a groove while also diving into feelings and emotions that many are feeling during this time of global pandemic and cultural upheaval. Currently streaming across all digital platforms, “Paranoia” is the kind of song that listeners won’t be able to get out of their heads. Like most of his songs, Swim’s latest single was created organically. In the midst of social distancing, he found himself sitting alone at home and frustrated with the trappings of his current situation. Like many others in the world today, the negative news continued to fill him with thoughts of paranoia, and the outflow of those emotions created this new summer jam.

“It’s how I feel – paranoid of the world and the way it is today,” he said. “It’s a song made from how I felt in the moment. I like Pop music, and even if the words are less enthusiastic, I wanted it to have a Pop feel to it. The guitarist, Lorenzo, is a producer and friend and usually when we work together there’s a great combination of both of our spirits together in it.”

Born in Philadelphia, Swim was raised outside of Newark, Delaware and lived in Baltimore before moving to LA to pursue music. He attended graduate school at the University of California, Irvine and is currently pursuing a PhD in comparative literature. This artist, rapper, writer, theorist, philosopher and part-time fashion designer is a deep thinker who loves to take inspiration from a wide variety of places. His music in particular is inspired by Pop-leaning artists in the Hip Hop and Punk genres – from Drake and Lil Wayne to Kanye West, Kid Cudi, The Dangerous Summer, The Wonder Years and Emarosa. Out of those influences, he has created a genre-bending style that he describes as “Goth Pop” or “songs for the dope and hopeless.”

“I grew up in a weird place in the world and it definitely influenced my sound,” he said. “I really love music – all music. To a certain degree, people are very territorial over their genre, but I just really love music that makes people feel something, whether it’s good or bad. I’ve always wanted to be a songwriter and as a PhD student in comparative literature, the things I do sometimes when I’m thinking are closer to what I do when I’m making music. I go with the flow of not trying to be defined by things – which is what my name is about. Swim is believing in the soul that is moving with whatever track I’m making. If I like it, I’ll make a song to it because I like it and it fits. I don’t expect people to know me but if there’s something I’d like to be known for, it’s being a good songwriter.”

Following “Paranoia,” Swim said he’s working on an album called “The Wretched” which should drop either by the end of this year or in early 2021.

KC Beck – The Machinist

Country rocker KC Beck rides wave of success with single ‘The Machinist’

AUSTIN, TX – A rocking new country song is making the rounds across the U.S. from Texas-based artist KC Beck. Inspired by a fellow soldier with whom he served in Iraq, Beck’s “The Machinist” is a “hell of a fight song” that motivates listeners to keep pushing on through the hardships of life.

KC Beck is the rare musician who has served in the U.S. military and put his life on the line for his country. Few artists of recent memory have actually served or set forth in a combat zone. Serving from 2003-2007 in active duty, then again as a contractor in Iraq from 2007-2010, Beck is a disabled veteran who has parlayed his struggles into an outlet of music. Upon returning from Iraq, KC discovered he had lost most of his memory and began begging for help from the VA. Repeated requests to President Obama and then President Trump’s administrations finally paid off, and over the past few years, he’s been making a recovery. Out of that recovery has come new music.

KC’s song, “That’s Just Me” was used in the independent films “50 States” and “A Horse with no Name.” His music has been featured in Texas Music magazine and on two compilation albums. And “The Machinist” is currently charting on the Texas Regional Radio Report for 30-plus weeks.

“I wrote it for a buddy of mine that I was in Iraq with,” KC said. “His brother was diagnosed with cancer while we were over there, and it turns out my grandpa passed away from the same cancer just two years ago. His brother was a life-long machinist and is still alive and fighting the cancer. My grandfather was someone I really respected. He gave me steady hands and passed his guitar on to me. So in a way, it’s a song for both of them.”

KC said “The Machinist” is a good example of how his music takes the energy of combat and the pain of being a disabled veteran and mixes those emotions with a little Midwest country and Texas sound. Having drawn comparisons to legends like Garth Brooks and Luke Combs, KC’s sound is the kind that stands out.

“I’m just a hardcore, rough-around-the-edges guy,” he said. “I have no songs that are boring. Everything is high energy. When I play music, I’m all over the place. Pain sucks but music is the thing that cures the pain for the couple of minutes that I’m playing.”

In addition to “The Machinist,” KC is also preparing to drop another single called “You’re the Reason Why” this fall. It’s a song originally written by Country greats Byron Hill and John Rich, the latter of whom did the original demo for the song. Byron Hill personally gave KC permission to use the song, reconnecting with him after originally talking about the song 10 years prior.

Greedy is an artist who, like many other musicians, was surrounded by music growing up. His father created music and by middle school, he too, was creating his own beats and sounds on the small computer system he owned. He set that aside for a time because he needed to make money, which led to some poor choices that landed him in prison. But after prison, he realized he needed to make major changes in his life and has since dedicated himself to pursuing music full-time.

Over the years, he has developed a sound and style which is unique and original. Everyone who hears him comments that he doesn’t sound like anybody else – and he doesn’t try to immolate any of his influences or make sure his sound is commercial and appeals to the masses.

“There are artists in the game I like,” he said, “but I don’t overly listen to anybody because I don’t want it to influence my sound. My sound is based off a vibe – no matter what it is at the time. Whatever the beat is, expressing is how I’m rapping on it. And at the end of the day, people will know that I make music with authenticity. That’s what’s missing today in a lot of other music. My presentation is a confirmation of skill which automatically confirms that street credibility. And whenever your music can be confirmed, people can relate to it. I just want people to relate to my music – and I know they will.”

In addition to “Everythang That I know,” Greedy is also preparing to drop a second single in August called “My Way.” It’s a song that talks about the positive aspects of life that are starting to appear as he makes changes and better decisions. He’s in a position to be successful, he said, and yet challenges continue to arise to impede his progress and discourage him from getting where he wants to go. This is a song that basically says, “Get out of my way.”

That single will be followed with an EP that’s set to drop later this fall, and even more music planned for 2021.

MH Mace offers fly stream of consciousness with new single ‘Thoughts in my Head’

LONG ISLAND, NY – It’s not every day that a stream of consciousness turns into a hit song, but that’s exactly what has happened for New York rapper MH Mace. His new single “Thoughts in my Head” is the perfect example of how quality rapping and a good beat can sometimes create magic. What was born from a freestyle in the studio has turned into one of the hottest tracks ever created by this up-and-coming East Coast artist, and fans all over the world are adding it to their playlists to hear on repeat.

Like all of his music, each song in his repertoire is titled after an aspect of his life. With “Thoughts in my Head,” Mace is spilling the story of his life in its raw form. He’s authentic – nothing fabricated or extra – and he sets the tone for all the other songs that will come on the EP of the same name.

“When the beat comes on, I just let it flow out,” he said. “When you’re from New York, music is everywhere. When I was young, at first I was just rapping but eventually I learned how to do melodies and different instrumentals. I started playing with it and exploring, and the feedback I was getting was really good. I put a couple of songs out on Soundcloud and it just took off from there.”

While Mace is a nickname derived from his birth name, Maceo, the MH in his stage name refers to “Most Hated.” That’s a moniker that he and his friends created as they grew up in Long Island.

“We were always the crew that everybody hated because we were the flyist and all that extra stuff,” Mace said. “Now I’m running with it because it is a great way to think about my music. I make great quality music and I feel like my songs shouldn’t be skipped. If it comes on in a shuffle, it shouldn’t be skipped. Like my favorite artists – Meek Mill and Lil Durk and A Boogie – you can tell my music is authentic. They always tell a story with their music, and so do I. They’re not just saying whatever they think is cool. They’re actually telling a story in most of their songs. That’s what you get with my music.”

Mace said he considers himself to be a “lit introvert” – a guy who is laid-back but who can be lit whenever the occasion calls for it. And when that happens, his music sets the perfect tone for any occasion.
