22 year old artist born and raised in Atlanta, started music career at the age 8. Started recording in parent’s basement in the 9th grade for 7 years. Took it more seriously after high school. Originally recorded it a year prior to the release date in parents basement. Didn’t like the sound that was being produced so kept it and eventually came back to it and recorded it in engineer studio.

Up-and-coming rap star and entertainer, Cordarro “R.O.E” Wright, formerly known as “Swagg Boi” was born and raised in the streets of Mount Pleasant located in Northeast Texas. Growing up in the unruly parts of East Texas, R.O.E dealt with a dysfunctional household with little parental guidance due to the struggles that his parents had to endure. He was born with a musical gift.. R.O.E’s father had him on stage performing as early as twelve years old and soon after R.O.E started writing his own lyrics and rhymes at fifteen. At 18 he knew that being a artist/entertainer was his life. He wrote about the things he saw in the streets and things that intrigued him about the lifestyles of true hustling, that matured him into the artist that you see today. Learning his craft was important to him and he modeled some of his same mannerisms from artists that inspired him but he added his own swag to it and “R.eal O.va E.verything” is the artist that deserves his shot. He paid attention to the industry and acquired the art of knowing how to brand himself as an artist. He knew rap was taking a fall but he also knew putting East Texas on the map and him knowing he could breathe life back into the game, R.O.E chose to go full speed ahead. Investing in himself was key, performing at as many shows as possible, and knowing how to get his songs on the radio took a lot of motivation. If you have not seen Roe perform your are in for a life changing experience the way Roe interacts and connects with the crowd you will know he is a “SuperStar”. “Lit”, “Fuck How You Feelin”, and “Pull Up” are local hits and are now playing on radio stations throughout Texas. R.O.E’s dream is to be an international artist and entertainer whose legacy was built from the ground up.

Album, Industry Spotlight, ME Blog, Mixtapes, Music, Promo, Videos

Currently pushing two new projects, Playboy Ronnie returns with a slew of hits in the bag. He continues to build on his momentum with the release of two new projects.

It’s been a few months since we’ve heard from the Orlando homie Playboy Ronnie. Its always a special event when he sends over new material to review. Last time we ran across each other he sent over “Hard Enough” which now has more than 10K streams and growing on Sound Cloud. This time he sent us not one, but two EP’s, a new single, and an eye catching new video for yet another single.

Both EP’s titled “Say Less” and “Say More” feature 5 tracks each, the main singles are “Guns And Butter” and “Mercy“. Its a dope collection of music, the Orlando native taps in and brings the summertime vibes from Florida.

His fans know that his grind, and versatility is unmatched. Playboy Ronnie peels back the layers to reveal himself, and to better connect with his fans. He does this when many of his peers are lacking substance and quality content in their music. Doing this he is able to capture his listener’s who are streaming his music and tuned into his visuals.

I took some time to listen to both projects. I hear a distinct difference between these projects when I sat back and tuned in. Playboy Ronnie is a talented artist who deserves more attention from the people, I believe once his music reaches a mainstream audience his fan base will grow with speed and efficiency, then its take-off time for him. Fly high young home fly high.

For now stream both projects, let us know which one you like best! Social media info and the official video for “Guns and Butter” featuring 2Tooly are below!

[Video] Cadillac Shorty ‘No Visits’ ft. Billy Blue | @305cadillac

Videos

Cadillac Shorty just released a heart felt new single “No Visits” that anyone can relate to that has ever been incarcerated. As well as a very touching emotional music video that portrays a very great edits of scenes from the lyrics of the single. The single can be found on all digital platforms and the music video can be found on Youtube.

On December 11, 1989 the long awaited arrival of a star was finally over for parents Marvin Davis Sr. and Vernell Robison when Marvin Darrell Davis Jr. entered the world inside of Jackson hospital. Marvin’s father was then known as “Cadillac Shorty” throughout Florida, and decades later life’s impact on Marvin Jr. would conceive the therapeutic birth of the street smart artist and musically inclined “Cadillac.”

Hailing from Miami, young Marvin dwelled in various south Florida neighborhoods. Determined to provide the best for Marvin and his two siblings his mother, Vernell was constantly on the move in search of perfection for her children even if it meant relocating until she found it, one of those neighborhoods being Liberty City.

In 1999, Cadillac discovered his talent as a rap artist which presented us with our initial taste of his abilities; although, his passion was football. After the tragic death of his beloved father in 2005 on the fast paced streets of Liberty City, he took the solace of his rap to the streets; the place that offered another option in aiding him with resuming the duty of providing as the man of the house. Soon Cadillac quickly ran from the football field to hustling, hustling came natural, and it was a fast way to make money.

However, after the heart wrenching casualty of losing more friends and family in the streets he decided to find another way out. Determined not to be a statistic he began to free style and write more every day. At this point music would prove to be a life line that would provide beyond the pen and pad where his lyrical content existed privately. History was truly in the making. Cadillac went from writing to appearing in the local clubs that fiend for his talent.

When it comes to other artists Cadillac is musically influenced by rap artist Jay-Z, the Rap group Hotboyz, and the now solo rap artist Lil Wayne. But the movement of Miami hip-hop artists such as Trick Daddy, Brisco, and Rick Ross has a heightened level of admiration in his life. Cadillac loves music with a passion and he is more than determined to become one of the biggest rappers of his time. Much like his musical influences he is going to do whatever it takes, and for however long it takes to get there.

[Video] @Mulaarie ‘Warning’

Videos

Mulaarie in West Philadelphia born and raised; but he didn’t play on any playgrounds. Mulaarie coming from the musically sacred grounds of Philly, didn’t have time to play. Life’s cruel

circumstances left him to fend for himself in any and every way possible, which in the end morphed himinto a sort of ‘prophet of the street.’ Mulaarie calls it as he’s lived it and the rawness of his language is drawing the attention of people with similar experiences, people curious about what that type of life is like and the big wigs who are accomplished who see in him, what they saw in themselves. Mulaarie at the tender age of 25 has lived 10 lives and now his lyrics act as a bullhorn for what it’s really like to be out there relying on instinct alone.

‘Everyone says I’m soft now’, says the burgeoning rapper. ‘But I’m not soft, I’m a father’. Life haschanged drastically for Mulaarie since the days when all he had to worry about was himself. He has completely taken on the role of a loving, nurturing father and has decided that his young king will live vastly different than he. Taking a long hard look in the mirror, Mulaarie concluded that the only way his son should live is in excellence. He’s growing up and glowing up doing the right thing by family while breaking into this industry with a vengeance.

Wasn’t too long after Mulaarie decided to mix urban myths, realities and street tales into a fusion of melodic chant, did South Philadelphia native Beanie Sigel take notice; and the rest as they say is history. Sigel began to walk around with Mulaarie as if he were his musical son; someone whose future he absolutely cared about. Sigel knew what we all know…. Hip Hop keeps living when new life is breathed into and the evolution continues.

Mulaarie has come MILES from where he started. His career path has become the stuff of legends and his discography is intriguing, telling and musical. He’s proud of all his work but has done remarkablecollabs with the likes of Styles P and Beanie Sigel; something up and coming rappers wish they could say. Some of his singles include, Been Like ‘Dat Produced by KRISSIO, Dreams of a Drug Lord, Whole Damn Life, and Bully Lyfe featuring Beanie Sigel. Check out more of his current releases on Spotify, SoundCloud, iTunes, videos on YouTube where much of his work is streamed.
